For farming pal fluids be sure to use Orserk as your companion. His bonus ability makes water type pals drop more loot when killed. The bonus pal fluids really add up quickly.
Im not sure its worth it to be honest . You get a chance of more loot but you arent speed running them on a mount .Water pals on shore spawn 1-3 each group. If you have something decently fast , you probably better use that on low to mid levels. Orserk does become great when you can one shot the shark pals . You need to move a lot less since they ultra spawn even on base rates - so his buff goes up in value by a lot. Also , he has aoe and rockets can clear full group each shot as well .
@@shadowkhan422 Bring him him into the Penking boss fight and just kill the Pengullet's then re-zone. Can pretty quickly spam the dungeon if you don't kill the boss.
@@zachwithnok Why the hell would you go through 2 loading screens just to kill 3 pals that only drop 1 fluid each? This sounds like a dumb meme, during that loading time alone I could easily have killed twice as many beach pals and not wory about accidentally killing the boss either.
I always make my carbon fiber out of charcoal. Because of having wood chopping stations available to your base it's so easy to just have stacks on stacks of wood to turn into charcoal. Coal on the other hand you have to build a base especially around farming it, or travel around to get it.
If you set up a mining base that has coal and ore at one spot you can have lots of wood also from the respawning trees and charcoal to carbon fibers is a nothing issue, i would have thousands of pieces of wood that charcoal was more available than regular coal.
I don't really keep anyone in my base for trees anymore, just 1 guy at my coal/iron farm who does trees. And i do mention if you have an overabundance, go for it. but work-wise the 140 Coal@ Ultra and 60 @Legendary with no wood cost just seems much easier than converting 100 Coal AND 200 Wood (through 2 steps)@ Ultra and 300 Wood @Legendary. My fire boys are working ingot for my spheres and cakes for breeding too much to make them burn lots of wood. But hey, whatever playstyle fits your base setup and pal distribution best my dudes.
Yeah I disagree with using coal for carbon fiber because most ppl have tree farms set up way before coal is even being collected or available so your gonna have stacks of 9999 sitting there or you would have already burned into charcoal earlier to keep wood stacks down which is what I did because I havnt needed more then 50 wood here an there for crafting arrows or something really don't need alot of wood stocked up but you do need charcoal if your making ammo an yes you can buy ammo but why not Also get carbon fiber for that as well and coal ore is something you have to go find set up base an have bunch certain pals an things to effectively grind it or automate it where as wood you can set up base woth no trees in sight an still place lumber thing down for pals to auto generate wood so it's far more work an effort to even get coal why would you use it for carbon fiber when it's main use should be refined ignots which are used for late game stuff an repairs an you'll never have enough of it so wood being so easy an having endless amounts it just doesn't make sense to do the other way with coal but like he said play how you want do it your way how you like but there is clear winner for carbon fiber an coal is not it lol but if you like to torture yourself then who are we to judge im sure there few random ppl out there that would rather punch tree over using proper tools just because there missing few screws up there doesn't mean they can't still enjoy the game have fun enjoy the game however really doesn't matter how you gather or what pal is best there's really no 1 right way to play a game definitely effective an ineffective ways but both can be fun for different players
Yeah I was doing charcoal too until I found a place with 6 coal node near anubis boss and an army of anubis, then coal all the way. Well, the game let you chose which way you want to do it for a reason lol.
Austin, just an FYI, you should split your food in your pal food box to cover each slot. So your pals will stop eating things you don’t want them to eat. And also they put your ingredients like eggs, milk and wheat in your cooler/refrigerator.
my overall playstyle causes me to just do 15-30min loops, always coming back to base after. that's my time to do my lap. in prerelase i tried this and they never prioritzied a fridge after the feed box so i stopped doing that. I just did it again and it looks like they do that now.. THANK YOU!
Weird i use cotton candy in all spots but the first in my feed box as it doesnt have a timer and they prioritize all my cake supplys into a fridge/cooler since the feeder is full and only seem to put honey in a box by my ranch so may save you a few moments of gathering but x 200 hrs it will add up lol cheers and thanks for the chart break down. happy gaming
It's 3 stars actually. At Dig here skill level 1, it find 1 pal sphere, at level 2, it find 1 or 2 pal sphere, at level 3, it finds 2 or 3 pal spheres, at level 4, it finds 1 pal sphere or 1 mega pal sphere, and at level 5, it finds 1 or 2 pal spheres or 1 mega sphere.
Yeah, but they dig them up quite rarely since they still dug up the normal spheres + arrows and gold. I spent a lot of time farming Vixies and it's definitely not worth it. Maybe if you get them to 4 stars, but I really don't feel like farming 64 more vixies to try it.
Video Ideas... Heres something not a lot of videos have been posted on. Vertical building, kind of a bug but it makes base building quite different. You can build on top of medieval medical tables and some furniture like benches. Destroying the medieval medi table or bench wont destroy the object built on top and it will be floating there. Yes your pals can still access it and utilize them fine even though theres no proper pathing to it. It worked before the patch and dedicated server still operates fine, unsure if it works in current new patch but likely still does. Digtoise is a bugged miner, some people have mentioned it but Digtoise is only good in two scenarios. Making his headband and using him from your party he is a wonderful miner. Using him for stone pits is also working properly as he mines stone as fast as another lv 3 miner like Anubis. HOWEVER, as an ore miner, he is terrible for a base pal. He only does 1s and assuming their food rate is based off number hits, he consumes literally twice as much food for producing half to none of the ore a lower lv miner like dumud or tombat can (excluding tombat night shift) DO NOT USE DIGTOISE AS BASE PAL MINERS FOR ORE Building structures is very strict as of currently. You can seemingly only build so far from a foundation when above it, if you have a second or more floors above a foundation the limit you can build away from a foundation is about 2 tiles (roofs, stairs although theyre more finicky) As far as I have observed, you can build roofs as long as there is foundation underneath it, ANYWHERE underneath it as in it doesnt even need to be connected to the same structure. So if youre on a cliff face with limited space, Ive seen people build lower on the cliff face and be able to build higher onto their limited space to expand it. Never experimented too much with it myself but could be interestinf for AustinJohn to do his thing and experiment with building capabilities.
@@ChadBro1985 so youre trying to tell me that a lv 3 miner, whose only suitability is mining, still generates less ore for more food then a lv 2 miner. Im sure through all the hits its equivalent damage, but the way that being near them watching them mine and them being unloaded in your game when your off doing things the formula theyre using does not seem to account for dps and instead ops for damage per hit and spreads that over an average of they do a hit every so often you arent close enough for them to be loaded in. Irregardless, he still takes way too much food and it worries me that new players see digtoise thumbnail everywhere for ore in all caps and hes actually bad as a base pal miner in most normal circumstances
For pal fluid farming the fastest I've had is using a Univolt and zipping between groups of 2-3 gobfins and one shotting them with the aoe attack. Which is recharged before I get to the next group.
Combine two activities here for maximum benefit; use an Oszerk (breed 116 if them if you want to really minx-max with a 4star orserk), go to gobfin territory, and capture them en masse with hyper/legen balls. Use them to turn a few Vanguard Gobfins into 4 star, which give +30% attack. Get 3-4 condensed gobfins, a condensed 'your attacks are elemental now' mount or a gorirat, and you'll be able to absolutely melt bosses to farm legendaries or legendary schematics quick.
Hey Austin. If you fill all the extra slots of the feed box with honey the pals will deliver all the decaying stuff to the fridge. So one thing they are eating and the rest honey or cotton candy.

23:35 I have an overabundance of wood and can farm it afk, coal I farm manually so I just use wood for carbon fiber. Coal I use for Refined Ingots. Edit: He addresses this later in the video, that he suggests building one of the bases in a coal rich location that's why he tiers them this way since you will have an overabundance of coal that way. I personally only have my main base, ore base then a breeding base so I don't have any more bases for coal. Also I think the necessity for coal is much less compared to others so I still think coal is fine for manual farming. I would like to mention though that I have kingpaca's built with mine foreman+logging foreman for the increased weight capacity and farming prowess in farming coal. For those looking into just manual farming coal, sulfur and quartz I definitely highly recommend it. I will transition to wumpo botan's when I can.
I only take trips for the occasional Sulphur (Volcano Tower) and Quartz (a temp base in the icelands).t My Mining Base location has all the iron, coal, trees, and fiber i could need. 1 planter, 1 water, 1 harvest, 1 logger, 11 Anubus for mining and transport. But MY ultimate goal is automate everything lol
I was keeping party of those cat pals from start of game for 50 weight increase each until I released there are other pals that also increase weight but alot more I found there was 2 I have that gave 100 weight each bit there big an don't like them as much but I'm found one that gives 80 am really like the look of pal an use it for work around base an fighting in battle an that is lunaris one I have now has ice attack lightning attack and ground attack kinda good mix of elements also level 3 handi work an level 1 gather and transport not best pal but it offers 80 carry weight having it with me an can fight an has variety of elements for attack an when I pop into base an need something crafted quick just throw it out an for level 3 handiwork not to bad, where kingpaca is just level 1 gather an that's it an ground attacks but offers 20 more weight to my character but for far less usefulness so still prefer lunaris

13:07 Ranches, what’s the most efficient/effective way about it? Is it better to make 3 Ranches and throw nothing but cows ( or any pal that can go) for a while to get the resources? most efficient way to improve ranch work speed is to level up the ranch pal partner skill, for vixy it is 'dig here'. Pal work speed and artisan trait does not affect ranch work speed. Condensing ranch pals to make them all 3 or 4 stars is the way to get most materials from your ranch, at ranch partner skill 4 the output more than doubles for each pal

I've been a bit confused on vendors. Where are they? What all do they have in stock? Are there certain vendors that make resource grinding easier? Etc. Long story short... a video on vendors would be cool
Ive made my home base at Hillside Mining Site. Around lvl 15, I moved my entire village, which wasnt much back then. So now ore is mined at my home base, which produces a lot of ingots.. My mining base is also at the Mountain top, it produces refined ingots. So for carbon fiber and charcoal, Im using wood and stone as they are unlimited from the logging site and stone pit. My 3th base is for mobile transportation. A few tips, some already mentioned: 1. put food for pals in the food basket, put what you want them to eat from left to right, use honey to fill up slots (keep your basket close at the plantations). 2. start with berries but make salads as soon as you can (tomato+lettuce), salads are great for pals! 3. ingredients for cake and salads goes into a freezer, with the cakes when youre breeding. 4. create jam sandwhiches for yourself and add them to your pouches (instead of (baked) berries). 5. at the mining base ive also added some food plantations (for extra salads), enough room if youre only using it for mining. 6. there is a fast travel called Small Settlement (under Kingpaca), you can buy bones and claws at the merchant. 7. in the desert settlement shown in your vid, the other merchant selling ingredients sells high quality pal oil! 8. get yourself an Orserk and go to the fast travel Gobfin's Turf (above Warsect) and start killing/catching gobfins for pal fluid, a single run of 5 min will get you atleast 50 pal fluids. 9. you can stack Storage Container's on each other, same with the Small Container and Cloth Covered Container. Extra points: at the hillside mining site, there is a skill tree a bit north, 2 caves (left and right), a black market merchant and the raids come only from 1 path (from the west), which I blocked with walls. Ive not found any other better spot as home base.
A very good early mining base spot is left of Relaxaurus Lux. It's on top of a cliff and I've never had a raid party successfully reach my base. You are close to a fast travel point - in case you play with friends and they'd like to visit your places. Also really close to a lot of bosses for you to farm. I honestly love this spot. It has 7 or 8 metal nodes. You have a pal trader to the east near the water and a few dungeons scattered around. Also the area in front of the volcano is a little bugged for me and maybe in general? You can find Tera Spheres super early there and no wild pals seem to be spawning anywhere on the grassy cliff area.
If you have space, craft a second breeding pen, using it for cake storage since cake doesn’t expire in the pens, I normally put incubators in the storage one as to not accidentally throw pals into it
@@CrytpicTortuga a second pen just for storage is not a bad idea, personally, its just to big for me. The incubators are already inside my current breeding pens and I dont have problems with assignments so its ok like this. and since im not constantly breeding, the cakes are most of the time in the pen storage box anyway without any pals breeding. when I do want to breed, I move the cake to the freezer, I have 200+ just from the last 4 days? I only have to move it while breeding, leaving enough cakes behind to create the amount of eggs I want.
So another way to get a lot of Pal Fluids in my opinion is to have an Orserk, Partner Skill "While fighting together, Water Pals drop more items when defeated." Go to where the Gobfin spawn and there is a lot of them. Just be warned, It's going to be battle after battle. Have a Dazzi in your team and have her collar unlocked. It's not as fast as just going around and throwing pal spheres but it works. Oh, and if you don't want to pick up the bags that the Gobfin drops you can have a Flopie in your team. Partner Skill, While in team, appears near the player. Automatically picks up nearby items.
To catch merchants early, look around for the spots that you see packs of Direhowls or Syndicate guys attacking merchants (sometimes the Direhowls attack a Jolthog or other pal) These are events and they always spawn in the same spot. It might not always happen but it does always happen there. Mark those spots on your map and check every day. Wait for the enemies to get the merchant low health and snipe them with a ball. The ones in the starting area are around level 10.
The best place to get Pal fluids late game is the Gobfin swamp area. Get a Pal with AoE electric damage like Mossanda Lux or Relaxasaurus Lux and absolutely destroy hordes of Gobfins. That's what I do.
I really appriciate how you listed the needed RSS using the basic version totals. That's SUPER helpful for me because that's how I end up calculating effort-required anyway XD so I really appreciate you doing that extrapolation for me XD nice work, man.
Quick tip for cooking: Take a Woolipop and drop it in your ranch for half an hour. Take all the cotton candy it produces and make them into separate stacks. Take those stacks into your food box and fill all the slots until you have one slot open (ideally, the one you fill with berries or the like). As long as there isn't another food box on base, your pals will take all the food you want to cook with and put it into a freezer or cooler you've placed down. Also, get a Vanwyrm Cryst (Vanwyrm+Foxcicle). They're a nocturnal Pal that'll keep your freezer running day and night.
I think a helpful guide on the best way to move a main base could be good, I put mine in a starter area and built it up over time but I put it in a pretty bad place to start. I would like to move my main base but I have so many resources I have no idea what the best way would be. Love the guides though AJ keep up the good work!

Hey Austin, first congratulations on your verified status, that I can't fathom why you were not already, years ago. Then, for corrupted footage. I personally record in something else than .mp4. l use format like .MKV. which OBS is supporting. This type of file is recorded by chunk. It is less compressed and will often result in bigger files and may or not use more ressources, but if they are broken in the middle, only the affected chunk will be corrupted. Meaning that a software like VLC or Video editing software can read before and after the corruption. The whole file is not lost. The quality should be the same. Also chunks in MKV are usually max 5 seconds each. There might be other recording format that allows you the same, but that is the one I use. Then last important point! Many editing software doesn't support MKV. Fear not, in OBS, you can "REMUX" MKV to MP4. It is usually taking only a few seconds to convert to MP4 and then usable. With no degradation. Hope it can be useful to you or other. Lastly, backup. Backup. Backup! Look up 3,2,1 backup philosophy and USB abd External drives are NOT a backup. 🎉😊🎉
Question/suggestion: What food is the most efficient/easiest at feeding your base and keeping them working? I'd been using jam-filled bun (jelly toast), but when I decided to swap to salad, I felt like I was burning through too much salad.
Salad for sure unless you have an abundance of wheat. All my wheat goes into cakes as I’m constantly breeding. I do like to take the jam toast with me as the timer is 60mins
Depends on your level and your working pals. First cooked berries, then toast, then salad and later pizza. Of course you do Pizza with azurobe; planting/gathering with lyleen, verdash, petallia and a kitchen with ragnahawk or reptyro. Sadly the level4 pals (except anubis) usually are to big and get stuck to often, so I prefere these.
i typically operate on "the best palsphere to use is the palsphere you have" but i'll definitely keep this in mind when i can afford to be a little more picky

Maybe list a couple/few notable pals for early/mid/late game. I know this is something I’ve searched for a number of times during my playthrough. So glad I found your second channel. If you put cotton candy into your "extra" feed box spaces. The pals will deposit harvested food into the refrigerator. Because cotton candy doesn't degrade it will just sit there while your pals much roasted berries. Or in my case, Salads. Cotton candy comes from the pal Woolipop.
Love the videos, been watching AJP for a LONG time. I would love to see a video talking about what perks work for what tasks in a base, like work speed etc. seems to be really vague info out there.
Thanks for the tips. I’ve just unlocked the ability to make spheres on a production line. I put this off because I was unsure on what spheres to prioritize as catching gets harder as you progress and resources get drained faster.

I even say " do this to power through the early game." @swiftstreamspc this video was made with casual players at earlier levels in mind during the early sphere segments and moving from one to another, don't this this guy my dude.
The intros are gold man. Can’t wait to see what you do next. So I’ve got two questions: 1: Are there a couple of Pals that can basically be bred into almost any other? Like Grizzbolt can get you to pretty much any of the late game Pals. That way we can keep a couple of Pals with important passive abilities to breed instead of loading up the Palbox with a little of everything. 2: Do you have a boss spawn table and/or loot table for the dungeons on the various islands? So if I’m fishing for a certain Alpha in a dungeon I know whether it’s possible for it to spawn in that dungeon. Similarly if I’m hunting specific schematics which dungeons or bosses should I farm?
When you throw a ball at a pal, and it has 46%, then jumps up to 63%, then 100%, is that 100% captured, or 100% chance to capture, and just what is going on when you throw a pal sphere at a pal?

I just unlocked legendary spheres and I wasn't sure if I should bother crafting a ton of them since their catch bonus above ultra wasn't that big, but you're right, it's more efficient in resources! Also, if you rank up a Vixy twice via the condenser, it will start digging up mega spheres!

It's also worth noting that a squad of vixies can dig up infinite regular spheres in the ranch, and at 3 stars they can dig up *Mega* spheres. So if you're struggling to get resources for Giga, Vixy's got you covered.
Mine has corrupted 3x. One time I lost 40 hours because that was the first backup that would work. Luckily I was 165 hours in so it wasn’t as big of a dent as it could have been. Now I back up every 4 hours 😅 also starting directly from the exe instead of the shortcut steam makes seems to help. No clue why but no corrupted save since doing that. Nice video and congrats on the second channel. 🎉

Great work as always. I think it’s safe to say a lot of people have no clue how to traverse the map. If areas have specific level pals or if all the pals levels scale with your own. Order for towers. Stuff like that lol
A few questions since you asked, based around capture rates: 1) is capturing at ~1 hp significantly better than just getting them down to ~10% or are low hp rates pretty similar? 1hp seems better but not significant in my testing 2) does your player level affect capture rates? 3) how much do lifmunk effigies help now that the system is supposedly fixed? Thanks!
How about a video on best food items to make? Might sound silly and dumb but there’s so many recipes and I have a favourite recipe that’s good food and easy to make but I’d love your input on that.
Little tip if you put 1 honey in every slot apart from your first slot that you use for feeding in the feed box your pals will transfer the raw materials (eggs milk etc) into your fridge instead
Hey Austin, I would love to see some videos about guns and ammo. What's the best way to get ammo? Best guns to go for, like, is single shot rifle worth it? Best way to get legendary schematics (and drop odds)? I've been pretty much ignoring sulfur and buying ammo, killing black marketeers since they give 13000 gold and have a few ranchs with maws, I tried building a base where a sulfur node was and it just never respawned. It still feels like I never have enough bullets.
You can get mega sphere from Vixy if you put them in to the machine that lvl up their ability. (Not sure if you can get higher than mega spehere not tested it.)
To save having to transfer things into your fridge you can place cotton candy or honey in the empty slots of your feeding basket, that way pals will put things straight into the fridge
You can double your drops for stuff like pal fluid. If you capture a pal, they drop their loot, then if you butcher them, they give you the same drops again. If you toss enough Vixy's into the juicer to get its ability to level 3, it starts giving you mega spheres.

I was wondering what progression of combat pals and Active Skills you would recommend as well as maybe an order you would recommend to take on the Tower Bosses. 📻
I could see the Radar Spheres may be used by NPC's. So the group when fighting could steal your active pet or at least tie it up and do more damage to you. If it's used this way I would guess it would drop as a sphere the same as if you traded with someone.
Question: are activatible skills by pals effected by element boosting passives? also do element boosting passives infer a multiplicitive bonus on total damage? Wondering if Celestial Emperor applied to say Pengullets Rocketlauncher since its clearly not water damage
Austin John, I was trying to determine the best way to feed my bases. I saw some posts saying that you have 1 base that makes pizzas and then manually distribute the pizzas. I also learned that there are SAN reduction food and that will increase base efficiency since the Pals needs to stop working less to eat. Any video on food management for bases would be lovely.
