On laptops its also wise to see some actual test results as even with single core tests some laptops will overheat and give poor results. I almost bougth one laptop that core speeds were 5,1ghz but performance was worse than 4,7ghz machines.
Hi! It's difficult to measure the effect directly, in theory it may improve performance for tasks such as simulation. However, we prefer to do real world tests directly comparing the CPU's available for OEM Workstations. Keep an eye out for more performance benchmarking this summer!
