We are Mark and Asya and we are currently travelling through South America. After travelling through Brazil we decided to take a journey into the unknown - Ibera National Park is a hidden gem in northern Argentina and the 2nd biggest wetland in South America. We spent 3 days enjoying the tranquility of nature and getting up close and personal with some native wildlife.
Watch this video & decide whether or not this kind of adventure is for you. We’d love to hear your thoughts in the comment section

I have lived in Argentina for 15 years, I was lucky to know that wonderful place when not even the Argentines had an idea (there are still many who have no idea) thank you for visiting my new homeland!

I'm pretty sure that's the same place that we stayed at in the Ibera Wetlands. Beautiful spot. We're definitely hoping to get back there again sometime

I can't thank you guys enough for your amazing South America series, my husband and I are organising our first trip to South America and your videos are inspiring us. We are going to also do the massive trek to Ibera Wetlands based on your videos, it honestly looks like it's worth all of the overnight buses 😂 Thanks again and keep up the amazing content 🥰

Good news! There's now a small airline that offers direct flights from BA to Mercedes, so accessibility to Ibera has become far easier. I spent 10 days in Pellegrini back in late 2016 and it was amazing, saw all sorts of animals (including an anaconda on the very first day, lucky me 😆). My thing to remember was: I got into the lagoon and came out with several tiny leeches on my hinds lol And by the way, those aren't baby capybaras, they are cuis (wild Guinea pigs).

That’s great! We heard about planes to Paso de Los libres as well, but we were travelling with luggage😅 Your experience sounds amazing!😍 About cuis - we learned it later on in South America😅🫣

Thank you guys this places looks amazing , I want to visit it on my next trip ! ♥️ What was the cost of the resort including the meals and trips ? Thank you !

Thank you❤️ as we understand it really depends on the season, we went in December which is peak season and it was around €500pp with the official rate. It’s cheaper in summer, but you should really just contact the resort to get a quote ☺️

How did you organize the transfer from Mercedes to the Lodge and how much did it cost? :) Did you book the Lodge with it directly or online? Thanks for the great video it really encouraged me even more to go. Do you think 2 full days 3 nights is enough time to go?
@SomethingToRemember
@SomethingToRemember Год назад
Thanks you❤️Our lodge provided us with their phone number and we booked it via WhatsApp (+54 3773 62 9044). A private transfer is a bit expensive, around 15k ARS one way, but the blue dollar rate makes it better. There are also buses, but they only run on certain days, we arrived on Saturday and the next bus was on Monday so that’s why we had to take the transfer. I’m sure a lodge/hotel you choose will provide you with this info! We stayed there for 3 nights, but checked in very early the first day so we felt like we spent a long time there. It was definitely enough and 100% worth it. We are in Central America now and think this was the best experience we had in South America!

@@SomethingToRememberthanks so much that helps a lot. :) May you share what the package in the lodge had cost? It seems hard to find prices for staying there. Also I'm considering going the other way around so starting of in Buenos Aires, going to the wetlands, then Posadas and Iguazu. I'm just starting scrolling through all your videos and it seems there are some that I will look into! ❤
@SomethingToRemember
@SomethingToRemember Год назад
@@Andrea-pb1tb During peak season (Oct-Dec) the package we did costs around €550PP, but as far as we know it can be cheaper in Jan/Feb (around €300PP). You can consult the owner Estrella by contacting this number on WhatsApp +54 9 3773 44-3602 ☺
