Woolton is where you move when you make bit of coin, no firms from woolton if you see a firm there from out the area, halewood, Speke or bell vale and other surrounding areas
I was up by Toxteth last week, near Sefton park. It's really beautiful. Big beautiful houses. Lovely and green. Trees, and Georgian houses. Really lovely. It got a bit Bohemian a couple of miles up the road. And we drove thru some lovely quant villages on the way home, near Knotty Ash, ended up in Warrington, somehow? I
Originally from Two Dogs me Bill I live in Woolton with my wife and little lad - lovely place to live.. hopefully bring up my family round these parts.. nice place mate visit anytime! Loving the vids my mate!
I've always wanted to move to Liverpool and in all honesty! this might have to be the place I try to move too! so nice!! also John was a sweet heart bless him!
I think John lennon met Paul McCartney for the first time in wolton at some community fate, not too sure any chance you could do a beatles tour of liverpool for us Billy? Love the vids and storys thanks so much brother 👍
I'll be moving up to Liverpool later this year. I have a few areas listed down but was wondering which areas you would recommend Billy? I'm open to the entire Merseyside area.
@mrjasondylan Thank you mate. I'm thinking something in the middle, around that 100-130k range. I'll have a look at Formby and West Derby. Apperciate it
@peachmelba1637 Yeah those areas are definitely out of my budget - I've honed my search down to the L9 postcode - around that orrel park, Aintree and Fazakerley areas
The problem with Woolton is where it is situated. It's basically surrounded by garston, Speke, Halewood an netherley an belle Vale so it will attract all the kids from them areas I rekon
SUPERB CONTENT BILL, Know WOOLTON , like the back of my Hand ! Gone expensive though for a Nght out ! 🙂 anyone remember the SQUIRES club from years ago ! less said the Better !😉 footnote..... The GREAT Bob Paisley is buried in St Peters Church in Woolton, think you got a clip of it Bill....footnote All the flags went up for the KINGS coronation i think, both St Peters and St Mary's built from Sandstone from WOOLTON QUARRY.

Mate hope you’re well. We are moving to Liverpool in June. Main reason it’s the affordability to buy, we currently live in Jersey and it’s terribly expensive. What areas are affordable but safe for children? Everyone keeps telling us avoid Bootle, Norris green and Birkenhead. A guy that just started working with me told me Wirral is nice and cheap. Others tell me to move to Chester. We went there for a week a loved the people, very friendly. Liked Speke as the airport is there and close to city center. Thank you
When considering a move to Merseyside, it's crucial to weigh the pros and cons. While there are affordable areas, it's important to be aware of certain issues. Merseyside has been known to face drug problems and serious organized crime. This includes active prolific gunmen and drug gangs operating within the region. Drug problems can lead to increased crime rates, public safety concerns, and potentially affect the overall quality of life in certain areas. While it's worth noting that these issues may not be prevalent in every neighborhood, the presence of organized crime can have a significant impact on the overall atmosphere and security of the region. For individuals seeking a safer and more peaceful living environment, exploring alternatives like North Wales or cheaper areas in Cheshire could be a viable option. These areas offer a more tranquil setting, with lower crime rates and a generally higher quality of life. Moreover, by choosing North Wales, you can still maintain proximity to Merseyside if needed. The geographical proximity allows for easy access to Merseyside's amenities and opportunities, while providing the benefits of a safer and more affordable living environment. Considering all these factors, it's recommended to thoroughly research and assess the current state of the areas you are considering for relocation. This will help ensure a well-informed decision that aligns with your priorities and preferences, ultimately leading to a better living experience.
The two areas Billy mentioned are worth a look. I live in-between. I returned after spending 20 years abroad. It has not changed that much. But the city centre has changed a lot in that time.
@@johnjones8305 thank you for your response. We were recommended Wirral, what are your thoughts? We need some sort of proximity to the airport as I’ll be traveling to jersey every two weeks for work. I can do most of my work from wherever I live but need to come over a couple of times a month. Liverpool has direct flights to jersey at reasonable prices.
@@danieldossantoscomedy4159 While there are indeed some pleasant areas on the Wirral, such as Irby, Pensby, Heswall, Thornton, Gayton, Lower Heswall, Greasby, Frankby, Caldy, and Burton, it is crucial to understand the harsh reality of the criminal activity that plagues Merseyside. Sadly, the region has become infested with opportunistic, manipulative, deceptive, and selfish criminals who show no regard for others. If you are considering a move to the Wirral or Merseyside, it is important to prioritize safety and avoid certain areas at all costs. Birkenhead, Prenton, Woodchurch, Upton, Noctorum, Beechwood, Rock Ferry, and many other locations should be completely off your list. These areas are notorious for criminal activity, and placing your family in such environments would be unwise. Even in the seemingly nicer areas like Heswall, you must remain extremely cautious. It is unfortunate, but many individuals from Liverpool and Birkenhead actively target these regions for burglaries. You can never let your guard down, as there is always a lurking threat of burglars eyeing your property. It is a sad reality, but it is the norm in this part of the country. Washing your valuable possessions, like a nice motorbike, in plain sight is out of the question. People will notice it, and their desire to steal it will override any sense of decency. It is disheartening, but this is the unfortunate truth of the area. The culture shock you may experience here is not just about different customs or lifestyles; it is about adapting to a constant state of vigilance and mistrust. While you may come across friendly people who can offer enjoyable company, do not be fooled. There is a dark undercurrent of individuals who will gladly swindle you without a second thought. If they see something you possess that they desire, they will plot and scheme to take it from you. I understand that this may sound harsh and pessimistic, but it is vital to make informed decisions when it comes to the safety and well-being of your family. It is crucial to choose wisely and consider alternative options outside of Merseyside. I genuinely wish you the best of luck in your house search, but please be exceedingly careful and vigilant when considering a move to this region.
Hi Billy Woolton always had problems with little firms from Speke and Halewood causing chaos in Woolton back in then 80s remember my mate got knifed outside Woolton boys.
Spekes grim... the way its laid out n that just sprawling sameness... Spike island is ace though although prob classed as wool territory to yous... grew up in best wank.... I mean west bank..!!!
I absolutely love living in gatacre, right by the church you posted --- (5 mins walk from woolton village) - the gangs of kids in the village in the village are from speke/halewood/garston/ etc. An just contrigate there. ---- see them all the time. Just bored kids jumping on the buses on their £2 day riders hanging around.... They don't actually cause much bother. - just a few people in the village are a bit well to do so complaining.... I and loads of others definitely aren't intimateded by it, BUT I can see why some are... I've seen proper gangs when I lived on Kenny, these are just teenage kids who need the youth club open more. .... It's sad that they hang out 30 seconds walk from a fucking youth club that's hardly open.
Let's hope the church is up for another 300 where I live nobody goes to church and there closing left and right old Catholic schools are becoming shops and loads of pubs are now places of worship that is forced upon people in jail. So make the most of it billy
I knew a pilot once ..he said he could put his had out the plane and tell where he was....if it was Venice he could sense the heat and the waterways ...Paris the smell of exotic perfumes and a la carte food ...he knew he was over Liverpool when he stuck his had out the window and someone nicked his rolex .....yak yak yak
Looks like someone has stolen the letter N from what I can only surmise is the word "hand"? If not for the poor spelling, your joke would... still be shite.
Thanks for sharing this Billy. I'll definitely be swerving gatacre if they're flying union Jack's! I'll stick to Nogsey Crockey and Anfield. The real Liverpool.
@@paulvarnie5193Back on ! Cilla indeed got married there, sort of, had marriage officially in London, then blessed sort of in St Mary's! had her funeral Mass there then indeed buried in ALLERTON cemetery close to her mam and dad, regards.
