I’m sorry I don’t buy this whole “oh he’s from Paris so he wants to stay in his hometown” if that was the case he wouldn’t wait till the last second to sign the deal. To me he either used both teams to get the best possible deal or he initially did wanted to go to Madrid but someone is pressuring him to stay.
@@fokerfakerfuker well that’s my point it can’t just ONLY be he wants to stay in Paris otherwise this situation wouldn’t happen. there a reason he negotiated with Madrid and it could easily be to get more money from PSG. Which means it wasn’t just his love for Paris it’s also the money. I can accept both being the reason I can’t accept it being only being his love for paris
don't be a dumbass. he could have been seriously split on madrid and psg, but when psg upped their offer he chose them for a variety of reasons, not just money alone
There is nothing wrong in what he did 🤣😂 Your saying as if he signed a pre contract with real madrid which didn't happen. If that happened then it's called as using real madrid to get a big deal. But it didn't happen like that. He was listening to offers and that's it nothing more nothing less. Keep crying
Mbappe is quite the talent but it's not worth selling your club soul to sign him, Madrid just dodged a bullet there imho, cause power player can really have a detrimental effect to the club.
What are you talking about lol, real have always bought players for big money. How can you even talk about they dodge a bullet, the missed out on a generational talent which why you see the club and even Tebas crying about it.
Everyone is looking for excuses for Mbappe when there are really none. The guy stayed for the money and power. If it wasn't for that he wouldn't have taken so long to make a decision after being so sure January.
You can wait till the end to make a decision to negotiate a better contract. What’s is hard to understand there? And kill that noise about la Liga being a strong league. 2 or 3 horses race where one has a deeper pocket than everybody else. Common! Nobody can explain how Madrid is playing the UCL Final. We all watched the game against PSG. Day and night
Where would you have gone if you're him? Only City or Liverpool offer an objectively better chance of winning major trophies and neither team showed concrete interest (Liverpool can't afford him and City don't really need him or couldn't afford him and Haaland under FFP). That PSG team are, on paper, capable of winning the UCL and yes the money on offer clearly played a part but is likely not the only factor.
When Ronaldo moved to Real Madrid in 2009, Real had finished 2nd in La Liga (9 points behind Barca) the season prior which included a 6-2 humiliation by Barca at the Bernabeu and were humiliated by Liverpool in the UCL round of 16, they were knocked out in the round of 16 for 5 straight seasons in a row at that time. Man United were more popular than Real Madrid then and had won 3 PL titles in a row and reached 2 UCL finals in a row and won the UCL in 2008. Despite Man United being more successful and the emergence of a very strong Barca side, Ronaldo was ready to take the challenge and joined Real Madrid and the rest is history.
Long story short: CR7 had dream of playing in the Santiago Bernabeu while being in Utd becoz R9 was his idol. CR7 was honest about it, and fulfill his dream... The rest is history.
My thoughts exactly as a Madrid fan. There's Benzema, Vinicius, Rodrygo, Asensio, and maybe even Gareth Bale. Don't get me wrong, Mbappe's a good player but we don't really need him.
don't forget halland went to a small team too and not for a big team with its pressure. at least for a better league ' a one team one ' but nontheless a better one.
Mbappe published a comic book about him being a fan of Real Madrid as a kid, he cried about wanting to leave. At the end of it all, he is not a Real Madrid fan... he used his childhood dream as a tool to get more money & a new contract that gives him the power to play with PSG, the toy of the Qatar owners. Real Madrid fans are mad cause they felt connect & could relate to him, as they had similar memories or dreams. He basically trampled on all of that. Don't waffle it's not about money when he could have handled this way earlier or way different if it was anything about that... he waited optimal offers from both clubs & leaked all offers to media to get both clubs to raise their offers.
You are spot on. As a Madridista and socia of Real Madrid, this is it. For example, we get Haaland, he never betrayed us, he just had a few good options and choose from that, we respect that. But this... he broke our hearts truly. We are old school, we love footballers that love the club, that is their dream, that share our love. He show us his love and we got fond, felt completely in love with him, not only as a player because we all know he still is top tier, but as a human being, a child that slept with our shirt and told his parents that playing at the Bernabeu with the Real Madrid shirt was his life long dream. And he milked that, for years, we trusted and gave him all. And now you can see him at their stadium laughing while the entire stadium is screaming puta madrid. That's not how someone that loves you act, even if he was planing to stay, is the way he handle the entire thing.
@@AnaCamp001 No worries, we had Cristiano, Benzema, Modric, Ramos & now Vinicius, Fede & Rodrygo. We were spoiled by having players who bleed for our team to win. I think this is a wake up call for Real Madrid, its players & the fans, Mbappe was all talk but those who love Real Madrid walk the talk. They accept fast & no drama or circus like this. For over 120 years Real Madrid dominated, countries & dictators went (Franco wanted to kill our team for competing in Europe, now there's Qatar & other oil states)... but Real Madrid will survive because of its fans & heritage that must be passed on.
Small minded player was afraid to leave his comfort zone and take on a real challenge, this is literally what Mourinho told Drogba when he wanted to go back to marseille..
Yeah, I’m sure Mbappe feels really bad getting paid that much and taking on the challenge of winning the CL with PSG as the first french team to ever do do. Don’t tell me PSG never will. Put it in this way, winning the CL with PSG is a bigger achievement than winning it with Real. Real is on the verge on winning another CL without him. Mbappe joining Real would be like Kevin Durant joining the Golden State Warriors.
How is this narrative he’s scared when he’s one a World Cup lol and literally plays against Real Madrid in champions league he took a ridiculous money deal of power and opportunity
It was hard to coach PSG, but now it's just impossible with a 23 year old CEO/semi-coach/director. I can't see Zidane, Pep or Conte type managers there sucking for Mbappe.

As a Madrid fan, I would like realmadrid to knocout psg every year. I would like vini to achieve everything, to show what staying loyal to madrid means. I would like messi to score more than mbappe to show what class is all about. I would like Mbappe to endup winning absolutely nothing other than $$. I would like Haaland to develop more quickly to show mbappe what playing in top league means.
Anyone who believes or says that PSG gave similar figures to Real Madrid must be beyond delusional & it's also a fact that he decides who comes & goes, proven by Leonardo & Poch expected to leave. Gab is waffling when facts & reality speak.
@De Code do you have the facts of the contracts and offers? NO! You don't. So you are guessing just like everyone else. And you are hoping that his thought process is the same as yours.
Mbappé’s camp bluffed, played the game @ extra time and won 👏🏾. Basically, he used Real Madrid and PSG as leverage to get the best deal possible. Well played
Actually Media has done big mistake. They have unnecessarily given too much coverage to Mbappe- PSG - Real Madrid There are other clubs and players around to cover. Concentration only on, any one aspect in football is detrimental to love for football for fans world wide. No player or no club is greater than Football itself. And coming to Real Madrid, their fans need not worry , everything happens for good only. Mbappe's fees might have destabilized the dressing room . Real Madrid can concentrate on overall strengthening of the team now.
Just remember Ronaldo went alone to Manu at 18y and at 24y to Madrid, chasing greatness. If Mbappe doesn't want that, good for him but that's what his legacy will be, man from Paris in Paris...
@Propagandalf They are barely 5th don't kid yourself. EPL, Liga, Bundesliga, Portuguese/Eredevise was ranked higher this year that Ligue 1. You don't get to win 8 straight titles and call yourself competitive
100% he’s just proven that the lifestyle and cash is more important to him than his football legacy. Have fun PSG enjoy a second Neymar rotting away in your team.
Man from Paris in Paris winning the first CL for a french club. He will be remembered for this. If he goes to Madrid and wins it there, he will just be remembered for another player who went to Madrid to win it… If he doesn’t win it while playing at PSG, at least he has that money to make him happy. Mbappe would be taking the easy route if he goes to Madrid and wins the CL.
Should not rely and wait for a player like him that can screw you over I think Madrid should Of went for halland it would been less drama with him and he would of signed. After signing halland then go for mbappe if wants to come if doesn’t least be happy with halland. But now madrid in this position they got so much money now that can go buy at least 5 good players. We’ll see what happens hope this fuels them up next week final
@@regulardadhere8832 RMA never let any player greater than the club. They don’t care if the great Ronaldo, Ramos & Varane wanted to leave the club. Now Mbappe seems to be greater than PSG.
To be clear I genuinely rank Mbappe as one of the best in the world. But he's like Henry, he relies on his speed to get past defenders and score more than trickery or dribbling ability, and as such his Post 30yo career will probably show a significant drop off. If he wants to be remembered as one of the greatest of all time, not just of his era, then another 3 years in PSG can only be seen as a waste of his quickly disappearing prime. He's choosing money over greatness. I mean he's watched on as his compatriot Old Man Benzema has become the odds on favourite for the Ballon d'Or this year, and inwardly he KNOWS he'd outscore Benzema if he was at Madrid, and yet somehow that STILL isn't enough to convince him to make the move. Again clearly a money over greatness decision.
T.Henry had amazing close controlling dude. Yes, he was fast but sorry to say he never ever did those Mbappe trick kick the ball as far as you can and catch. T.henry while running with the ball he takes many touches.

To think we cheered for him during the second leg at the Bernabeu. Like that is the biggest smack in the face when you realize that. Its ok, we will beat them every single time because we are better than them. Two years isn't going to change that. And now he is stuck at PSG for the rest of his career essentially. What club is going to touch him. Man City don't need him and Pep hates drama. He's the only drama allowed. Man Utd want home grown and ppl with a love for the game and team and in a structure for Ten Hag. No club is going to touch this, for fear they are getting played too. Mbappe did not think this thru well. Nobody will forget that he played the biggest club for multiple signing years just to get more money.

If it is true that Mbappe on, May 9 or 10, gave Real Madrid his word that he was coming, then Mbappe has just shown the footballing world who he truly is: a world class Primadonna who has no word of honor. If he can do this, why would anybody now trust him? What other dubious traits does he hide? There is a silver lining here for Madrid.
If RM could offer him a 1 million a week, of course he would have gone. But they couldn't so he played both teams off against each other to get the best deal possible. Good player, but mercenary.
In my opinion, it would be more impressive and impactful if Kylian won a UCL at PSG than at Real Madrid. He would be certified in PSG history forever, literally, forever. Real Madrid is historic, but Kylian would just be another legend to wear the white shirt imo.
Yea very “impressive” for a player in a state run team to win the UCL eventually, if they even win it, after decades and decades of absurd spending, with money funneled from dubious sources, completely ruining the economy of football.
But what males you think he'll qctually win it? And is a ucl with paris worth having thrown away the best years. He'll be 27 after this contract, which is already geeting on in years.
As a madrid fan we are all disappointed in Mbappe. It's such a sad day for the world of soccer when an elite talent stays put in such a below average mediocre league in France. He has chosen an easy path and he Ultimately hurts his own legacy now.
Playin well bt winning what the usual French league oh it’s the French player of the year tht he’s one 3 year in a row mbappe is a joke with his career
In fairness, La Liga is not what it was a few years ago. If Mbappe wanted to move purely for footballing reasons he should have gone to City or Liverpool in the best league in the world. Heck even a switch to Chelsea where he could try and unseat those 2 sides.

Mbappe literally can't win. No matter what choice he made, there'd be criticism. If he as a Frenchman left without bringing champions league glory to France (especially with Messi & Neymar) he'd be cast as a disappointment to his country. He'd be criticized by some for taking the easy way out to join a giant club that's already in a CL Final WITHOUT him. Just like Kevin Durant joining the Warriors.. It's also interesting that many people acknowledge that players should do what's best for them and their families personal ambitions but whenever they do, pundits and fans begrudge the player for not doing what the fans and media want them to do. I'm glad he's making decisions for his own mindset and ambitions and not based on a very fickle and impossible to please media.
why the song and dance then? He could have signed an extension years ago if he loves the club so much. What kind of player makes their club pay tens of millions more and give them stress when he’s planning to stay anyway?
Everyone wants the status quo to remain the same. When Mbappe dreamt of playing for Madrid, there was no team in France like Paris. What else is there for Salah, Mane, VVD left to do in England? Should they pack up and leave for spain? Football is his Job, he chose to stay with an employer that he know and for a ton of money. People do this in their professional life everyday.
Craig Burley seems to have forgotten that PSG have beaten Manchester City over two games (2-0 win in Paris, 2-1 defeat in Manchester); PSG dominated Real Madrid during 150 minutes. That means that Kylian was and stayed in one of the best teams
@@jamesgray788 Just watch the two matches and you'll realize that Real Madrid got lucky during the last 30 minutes, as it with Manchester City. During the first match, only one shot on goal during the extra time. You can chose to be in denial Real Madrid needed three miracles to reach the finals, and a lot of luck.
@@oshanewilliams6894 That is correct, so did Manchester City and Chelsea. However, PSG better dominated Real Madrid that City and Chelsea (two clubs that I appreciate, City more than Chelsea)
Alan Shearer staying at Newcastle, is nothing like MBappe staying at PSG.. Alan played for love of the club, MBappe for love of the Money... If he really wanted to stay at PSG why did he not extend last year, why did he use Madrid to increase his wages etc.
Craig is purely racist and anti- Qatar and lacks any other substance. Mpappe a Great talented player who has confidence in himself chose to stay with the CL "underdog" team (PSG) and show what he is made of...that is the simple objective explanation. he loves his country and feels he has an obligation to see his French team win a CL title to go with his WC trophy and other accolades.
no he isn't. He is pro-english but he isn't racist. This was a terrible move by Mbappe and they are trying to spin this w/o burning bridges b/c they know Qatar can just come in and throw money cuz they are trust fund babies.
He’s 23 he’s won the World Cup, won multiple domestic league titles and now he wants to win the Champions League with his local/boyhood club in his own back yard… You guys are just hating
