Great idea man! Doing the entire process from start to finish really strings all the methods together. I want to try your method to route electrical conduit...wonder if that will work...

Thanks man!! Absolutely it should work. Conduit is basically piping. Wondering if Revit tracks the systems in a similar manner. I assume revit has similar generate layout commands for conduit. Let me know if it works!

Love this video. One issue, however. I believe the sanitary piping to the lavatories violates code. I don’t think you can connect the left and right lavs using that fitting. I believe you would need a double sanitary tee.

Jay, you're right! I actually just read about that yesterday! The reason it isn't code compliant is because the connection to the vent is below the weir of the trap and could cause siphonage of the trap. Good Catch! I was just looking for a double tee fitting and just disregarded the type. Definitely needs to be a double sanitary tee. Really appreciate the feedback! We already got a great community going. Excited to learn more from you and everyone!

Hi MEP Guy, may I suggest if you can make a tutorial for the basics of Plumbing up to advance? Hope you can see this. Thank You

I do have a more basic video available. It's called "Beginner Plumbing Design *Auto Size* CW and HW pipe in Revit MEP". I would start there. Then watch my sanitary and vent video called "Complete Tutorial - Sanitary and Vent Modeling for Beginners in Revit MEP". Those are two beginner videos I'd recommend if you are just starting out. Do you want me to do a video going over the plumbing trade specifically. Like a Plumbing 101 course? Please be more specific and I'll see what I can do. Thanks for the Comment!

@@mep_guy Sorry for the delayed response. Yes, it's more like a Plumbing 101 class. Just by watching your videos (I've already watched three), I understand why people prefer to use Revit for MEP-related tasks. By the way, thank you for your videos; they are simple and easy to understand. Also, thank you for your prompt response; I hope you continue to do so *thumbs up*.

@@undo7711 You're very welcome! I'm trying to start a community here. I think if we all have a place to go for questions and answers it will help everyone out tremendously. I enjoy making the videos and getting your feedback. I'm going to be doing more plumbing design focused stuff as paid courses on my website, but I'll definitely always do free content as well. The paid stuff will be for those who want more in-depth stuff like calculations and design techniques. I'll try to make the youtube stuff a little more entertaining. But I think a good plumbing 101 video on youtube is a great idea. So thanks!

@@mep_guy yes, after I learn the fundamentals and essentials from your videos that you'll be upload, I will undoubtedly enroll in your paid courses to expand my knowledge. I wish my professors did this type of teaching with MORE illustrations and videos rather than just text *smh* it's difficult to understand the subject that way.

@@undo7711 Yes I agree! I'm very visual. Notes never did me any good. And I was terrible at note taking. Revit has changed the way I look at plumbing design. It forces the designer to become an installer. There are so many cool tools inside Revit that help us with plumbing design. I can't wait to share them with everyone!
