We love our Q1000, we rigged it to connect to the propane setup for our outdoor kitchen. Got the connection adapters and a long 30' hose, so in most situations we can move the grill further away from the trailer.

We love our Weber Q1200. We've had it almost two years and I would personally rather cook on it instead of our big stainless steel Weber 3-burner at home. I converted ours to run off a grill QD on our trailer and I converted the Weber's regulator with a QD so I can also use the little green canisters if I want or need to. This really helped on our Alaska trip last summer when a broken spring hanger gouged the black pipe running back to the rear of the trailer with a QD so bad it had to be removed for safety. I put on a new one since getting back. I think you will be very happy with the Q1200. Ours is also blue. LOL

Yay! We recently bought the Weber 1200 and LOVE IT! It was one of the splurges we gave ourselves for this year’s camping season. Funny story. We built our camper, so the interior of our camper is all kinds of fun colors. Turquoise and purple. Just a myriad of “fun”. When it came time to order our Weber, I told my Husband that he got to choose the color because he’ll be using it more than me. He scrolled through all the colors and then chose, PINK! That’s right, PINK! I asked if he was sure, and he said “yes”. He said that our camper interior is already crazy colors, we might as well take the theme outdoors as well. Plus, he said it would be a conversation starter (as if our camper isn’t already a conversation starter. Our camper causes traffic jams in the campground. Lol!) So, to make a long story short, after asking him again if he was sure he wanted pink, and him saying “yes” again. We are now the proud owners of a Fuchsia Weber 1200. My Husband’s only complaint? He said it wasn’t pink enough! 😂😂

You are right on the mark, we've been 5th wheel camping for since 2007 with our Weber 1200, loved every minute of it. 2nd year, I drilled a hole in it's front face near the top and installed a grill thermometer. Has always been the handiest grill and great for pizza too.

Cool ending. Love it! We have the Q1200 and we think it's great. We found out, as some others have, it will not fit in an Airstream storage compartment! It almost fits but just... won't...go..in!

Great grill. I've been using one for a year now with no complaints. I did just upgrade it with the low flow Totjik propane kit so now my grill plugs into the quick propane connection on my rv. I also use a cast iron grill into my bbq. It gives a great even cook, no flare ups, and very little clean up since the grease etc stays into the cast iron...Anyway thanks for the video.

GREAT video ! I've had an older Weber small rectangular type portable grill we use RV-ing for over 20+ years. We use it quite often during the Spring & Summer; not so much in late Fall or Winter. I bought a 1 gal. propane can and hose that connects and eliminated the need for those little 16oz green cans. Yes I had an initial investment for them, but it costs about $2.75 to fill it (1 gallon) vs over $3+ for the small (16oz) green cans (128 ounces to a gallon). . It has long paid for itself. I can also connect the hose to my trailer 30# can if needed and I always have the 1 gal can as a backup if I go thru the 2-30# on the trailer. Win-Win.

That was an awesome video, and for me, very timely! My wife has decided we need something larger than out microscopic hibachi, and the Weber Q seems to be the standard in RV land. Thank you for the great review, the great humor, and as always the fun! I can see a new Weber Q 1200 coming to our RV when the IRS refunds my money! Thanks folks!

We like our Q1200 as well. We switched from the coleman roadtrip due to size and the Weber doesn't flare up when we turn over our "tofu". Lucky enough to find it on clearance also for $75. We buy the replacement tin pans at the dollar tree they are taller than the weber ones and obviously much cheaper. They don't fit perfectly but they do work just fine. Thanks for another great video.

Great ending! Those little Webers are nice! We use the large Camp Chef, 3 burner stove as everyone always ends up at our trailer for meals.. Once that became the norm, we now have our friends leave their food coolers with us.. Our griddle with back splash covers 2 burners & that leaves one burner for hot water for tea. Coffee drinkers are out of luck.. Or any of your other cooking needs.. We did improvise a working Italian pizza oven over 2 of the burners and cooked 13 pizzas that evening!! Two pizza stones, 2 bricks and a dome shaped Weber charcoal grill cover is all that is needed.. Crank up the heat to about 900 degrees and cook!! And we also carry a small smoker, just in case...

I have a Weber Spirit grill for home use after going through many "lesser" brands. I could never justify the expense before, but after finally coughing up the cash I'll never buy another brand. The cheapo grills just don't last and are a false economy. Love the flashback, glad to see your still getting some use out of that ridiculous old bathroom faucet. I have to convince my wife that all men still have a little bit of teenager left inside our minds, keeps us young!

Greetings, Have had this same grill a couple years and it has never let me down. Had several other makes before this one and none were comparable to the Weber! Was very surprised that the grates are cast iron and pretty much indestructible. They make great grilling marks and cleanup is relatively easy. Would definitely purchase again.

We bought the Baby Q when it first came out and still using it. The best there is in BBQ's. The issue you said about the old one having a wire guide for only allowing the long tall propane tanks is a easy fix just unscrew and discard the guide. This allows you to use the short fat 1 pounders, been using the fat ones since I took it out of the box with no problems.

Preparing meals on the road. How about the Pro's and Con's of: An induction cooking plate in a travel trailer? Special pan and pots? Power draw Etc? Another item would be cooking meals in a 3 quart Instant Pot. 700 watts, cooks quickly. On the road recipes? This small size is perfect for a couple. If you like any of these, one or other of these items could be added to your store. Thanks for allowing us in your life.

Had my first one for almost 15+ years (model 1000??? ) Still works, just grate rusted away and I was looking into a new one, giving the old one to a work friend and we will rebuild it for small work lunches, bought the Q1200 to keep the grilling alive at home. Great unit. I sure got my monies worth on the original, needs a grate and burner tube and some cleanup, really dont even need to buy a new one, but the kids at work are excited to grill and rebuild it. Got a red one to match my Arcorn Jr smoker

Sean, Another great video and review! I can tell you love making the videos and having fun with the post production. This one had some great scenes after your review. I loved the step back in time! Can’t wait for your next vlog. We have the Weber® Q 2000 Gas Grill and absolutely love it. It fits perfect in the trunk of our coach. The grill heats up quickly and then cools down quickly so you don’t have to wait an hour or more for it to cool before putting it back in the storage bay. It also cleans up so easy. Weber makes great grills and have for many many years. We love how compact they are and how well the food cooks and tastes when cooked on our Weber!

I do overkill on outdoor cooking. I carry a NexGrill gas grill, a Weber Smoky Joe Gold charcoal grill and have a modification using a 32 Qt Tamale steamer to turn the Weber into a smoker. Propane, charcoal and wood chunks. Plus a Camp Chef 2 burner stove, 30K BTU per burner, flat top griddle, and more all in a Class C. I like to cook.

Thanks for the review. I am a charcoal snob and prefer the Weber Smoky Joe. It is a great compact grill and you can make it into a mini Weber Smoky Mountain smoker with a fairly inexpensive DIY Mod. This gives me great versatility in what I am able to cook in a very compact package.

I love the portable Webers, I have a Q2200 if I remember correctly. I have it on a collapsable rolling table. So easy tomjust collapse it and drag it along to wherever I want to set it up. I used to have another mark while other people I was travelling with had Webers. They always finished cooking long before I got my finished because the Weber was so much better at keeping up the temps.

I have found the Coleman Roadtrip grill to be my favorite. Yes it is larger than your grill, but with the variety of “inserts” I can cook a full breakfast on it as well as grilling burgers, steaks, vegetables, and the list goes on. I like ability to use it on its portable stand or just set it on a table. To “eat” his own I guess. Your videos are great, keep them coming.

We have the same Weber grill and have been enjoying it. Have always had great luck with Weber grills (we have a Genesis at home) for their even heat and dependability. The temperature gauge is a must have in my opinion to always get the perfect temps for whatever you're cooking. The only negative thing I can say is the 16 oz. propane canisters are difficult to get threaded, just like your video showed. Seems you need to push the canister while threading. Keep up the great videos and reviews!

I could see the attraction if you are restrictive on storage space. I prefer the bigger Coleman RoadTrip LXX Grill because it has 1/3 larger cooking surface, cost less, and comes on it's own collapsible cart. We'll see if it holds up as long.

Hubby is the griller and we have a whopper on the deck out back, stainless steel, natural gas and about 3' x 5'. He insists on having a grill for the RV so your video was perfect timing. Once we take delivery of the Class C , we'll be measuring the exterior storage bins to figure out how to load stuff but I think the Q 1200, he really likes the built in temp gauge, will fit in one the two drawers that extend with the Murphy Bed slide and he can pick the color too! Happy husband, happy life!! Any idea how long one of the propane canisters you demonstrated will last for two people? Another great, if not a bit weird, video, THANKS!!

Hi Sean, you can buy an adapter hose so that you can hook your grill to a 20 # cylinder. This is way cheaper to operate than those little tanks. Also a 20 pounder sits perfectly inside a milk crate which makes it much more stable. We have a 2000 F250 SD 7.3 PS and the tank in a crate is shorter than the box side so your cover would clear it. We also chain the tank to the tie down in the box for safety. Very much enjoy your work. Thanks

I love the creative license on this video. I was wondering if you folks ever heard of the Propane Tank Refill Adapter? We use plenty of those green tanks for heating our ice shanty and for camping in the summer so we found you can refill them using an adapter, large 25lb tank and a set of scales. Found all kinds of videos on you tube and we’re excited to start saving money plus doing something good for the environment...for a change. Might be a another topic for your vlog. Happy Trails!!!

Bought one of these thru your link and I have to agree that it's one of the best small grills I've ever owned. Of course it's a Weber so that's to be expected. ;)

I bought ours when it first came out at $130. Still going strong but I’ve had to replace the grate twice and now have to replace the rolling cart. Not complaining though.

Hello Sean, Darryl here I have a old Q 100 which has all the same features that yours has except I had to add a thermometer and my grill is one piece. The problem I am have is I’m getting tired of eating burned pork ribs. I can not get the temperature down to the 225-250 range. I am now going to buy a new fire loop manifold and block some of the flame holes. I don’t see why Weber hasn’t addressed this Webber problem. I will keep you posted.

Love it! Love the dead sequence too! I hauled a Weber Silver B around for year and finally dropped it off with my son. I miss cooking good BBQ. The little Coleman camp stove I have does not get the job done so I wind up not cooking outside at all. I'll give the 1200 a try, it looks like a perfect replacement for my style of cooking.

I appreciate the creativity! We have the larger Q and find the burners a pain to keep clean. Therefore, we end up with uneven heating. Agree with everything you said though.

We have the Baby Q and love it..perfect for the 2 of us. I bought the gas model but it leaked...scared the crap out of us so we took it back and bought an electric one. Love it...especially only having to worry about the steaks burning, lol.

@LarryC213
@LarryC213 6 лет назад
rts, I agree. Though I have to say that I have noticed that you should probably buy the rebuild kit when you originally buy your grill. I had an early model like theirs and after eight years, the rebuild kit was more than 50% the cost of the new grill. When the unit is new, the rebuild kit was less than $30.00.

I really enjoy your videos and the products you use and recommend. We use the Weber 1200 also and I bought the Garmin 770 and the Broan Big Heat after watching your recommendation. My wife and I used the Garmin from Florida to California and back and loved it. I wouldn't make a long trip with out it. The Big heat kept our 31 foot RV nice and comfy. I enjoyed this video also even with the frogs, lol.
