I only take practice quizzes. I never read anything, or watch videos. The quizzes tell you the right answers, and they have the explanations. It isn't that the quizzes don't help. It is that people try to memorize the questions rather than try to understand the explanations.

Hello, I am in AZ, I took the P&C exam and got a 68% - I took the advice from previous adjusters to test and test and test, I was getting 83% 85% 87% on the simulated exams, I was so confident and then I went into the exam and the style of questions and the content of the exam boggled my mind. It was tough to swallow because I was so confident going in. I spent almost $400 dollars on the study materials!!! I appreciate the videos you have posted it has clarified things. I re-test next week and am hoping for a better outcome.

These categories require memorization of names, amounts, some math, and a working understanding of how this type of insurance works. Hello from Massachusetts! I promised myself I would come back here if I passed my tests today and, well I'm back which means I PASSED! Just wanted to thank you for the content. The book is a very dry read so it can be difficult to keep focus after a while. Your videos helped to make real sense of important concepts and for sure helped when I came across questions I had to reason out. No questions were the same as the practice test questions for me so I'm happy to have had these videos along with the book. I took the quizzes to test my knowledge before reading, wrote out vocabulary from the questions I missed, and made sure to go back and read those sections in particular. Hi Melissa, took my first P&C FL exam with only practicing and memorizing some practices tests without reading the material. Obviously did not pass, got a 60%. I’ve now been studying for 3 weeks straight on the course material cover to cover but I still feel I need another 2-3 weeks to re-read it all again to full retain it all. I love your positive energy this feels like such a spiritual process because of the important of passing and of course the time and dedication to studying. If you have already studied and failed these are most likely the chapters you need help on. For the Types of Property chapter, it can be really difficult to grab many points here because the chapter is so large. You’re reading a hundred pages worth of study, so trying to secure points across hundreds of pages worth of material can be difficult. What I encourage people to do is focus on Dwelling, Homeowners, and Flood. Dwelling and Homeowners can seem difficult to understand but after I break them down in my Royal Treatment Class Series, you’ll see how easy you can get a lot of points in these chapters. You want to focus on Policy names, Policy coverages and amounts, which are named or open peril. There are also math questions related to Property Policies, but you never quite know if you’ll get 0 or 5 questions with math. It won’t break you to fail every math question if you are strong in other areas, but it certainly helps to be prepared for them and I teach them very simply. Hello Queen 👑 I took my GA P&C test yesterday and PASSED on the 1st try! (GA doesn't give you your percentage score if you pass) I took my required 40 hours/class in person and got the practice tests/quizzes for extra online. Using online quizzes worked for me to pass the life and health test but that material was easier/made more sense to me than P&C. I found your vidoes after doing the online quizzes for P&C wasn't cutting it. I wasn't comprehending the material and was overwhelmed by commercial which in fact isn't a huge section of my test thanks to the exam breakdown. Between your videos, reading the text, and doing some practice quizzes I passed! You and your videos are awsome. Thank you for all you do to help people pass 💖

It is very easy to grab many points here, then it is to grab them in any of the other chapters. Most of these chapters are definitions that can be easy to memorize when you use my class series. If you have already studied and failed these are most likely the chapters you need help on. For the Types of Property chapter, it can be really difficult to grab many points here because the chapter is so large. You’re reading a hundred pages worth of study, so trying to secure points across hundreds of pages worth of material can be difficult. What I encourage people to do is focus on Dwelling, Homeowners, and Flood. Dwelling and Homeowners can seem difficult to understand but after I break them down in my Royal Treatment Class Series, you’ll see how easy you can get a lot of points in these chapters. You want to focus on Policy names, Policy coverages and amounts, which are named or open peril. There are also math questions related to Property Policies, but you never quite know if you’ll get 0 or 5 questions with math. It won’t break you to fail every math question if you are strong in other areas, but it certainly helps to be prepared for them and I teach them very simply. The math on the exam requires a memorization of insurance rules, coverage amounts, an equation to learn and input into a calculator (most every state allows calculators). For Types of Casualty, this is another hundred page chapter that can be difficult to secure points in, so we focus on Personal Auto and Commercial Auto. Personal Auto is easier, so make that your biggest focus. Memorize the Parts of an Auto Policy, how they respond in an accident and definitions like Split limit and Per occurrence. Umbrella also comes from this chapter too and that’s an easy concept to get points on. All my Royal Treatment Class Series include an Auto and Umbrella Class that tells you what to focus on. Commercial Policies are inside both Types of Property and Types of Casualty. Commercial Policies are hundreds of pages worth of study and content and you don’t need to know it all. Lastly, you want to be really decent in state law. Most state exams will have this chapter at around 20% or more of the exam. I’m glad you have told everyone to stop memorizing, quizzes and simulations and practice tests because I was told by the subject matter expert at a previous company I was at I’m not going to name drop, but they all said that they “passed“ because they memorized the quizzes, which is more than likely untrue, and because of that all the learners did that out of the 20 new hires, only nine past and earn their certificate and were able to go on to take the state exam. I watched 22 year old, newly graduated college kids stressing the point where they cried because they weren’t able to earn the certificate and keep the job at the company
Yes, it's unfortunate that they keep perpetuating that myth!!! It can work for a few, but it doesn't work for all. And it really depends on who they're using as a test provider.
@@insuranceexamqueen I’m not going to name drop, but they used exam FX Unfortunately, they only gave us three days and the instructor didn’t actually teach us anything he just said hey highlight this you’re gonna wanna know there’s a highlight that you’re gonna wanna know if this then we had to take the practice exam right afterwards which none of us knew anything, and majority of us are failed and couldn’t or in the certificate to go and take the state exam

My teaching style is very casual, I keep things simple, I use memorization techniques, and I create a lot of charts and graphs as visuals to help you understand the material. Below, I have written up what is most important for your state exam, and where you should spend your time during your studies. Field Underwriting(also known as completing the app/health Basics), Health Provisions, Types of Health and State Law/Insurance Regulations are the most important focus for your exam breakdown and I cover all of them in my Royal Treatment Class Series. Field Underwriting is all about the application process an agent goes through when selling a policy as well as the basics of all health insurance. Provisions are things that kind of set the rules for how policies work and a good amount of them are simply definitions, and many do require memorization of numbers. Provisions tends to be one of the largest chapters on all state exams, sometimes even up to 25% or more of the exam is just on provisions. For Types of health, they really like you to know the difference between HMO and PPO, as well as a good understanding of disability insurance. Lastly, you want to be really decent in state law. Most state exams will have this chapter at around 20% or more of the exam. While every state is different and has different numbers, you need to know which numbers are important, and which things you should memorize from this chapter. I teach that information in my insurance regulations classes which are included in all my Royal Treatment Class Series. Dwelling and Homeowners can seem difficult to understand but after I break them down in my Royal Treatment Class Series, you’ll see how easy you can get a lot of points in these chapters. You want to focus on Policy names, Policy coverages and amounts, which are named or open peril. There are also math questions related to Property Policies, but you never quite know if you’ll get 0 or 5 questions with math. It won’t break you to fail every math question if you are strong in other areas, but it certainly helps to be prepared for them and I teach them very simply. The math on the exam requires a memorization of insurance rules, coverage amounts, an equation to learn and input into a calculator (most every state allows calculators). For Types of Casualty, this is another hundred page chapter that can be difficult to secure points in, so we focus on Personal Auto and Commercial Auto. Umbrella also comes from this chapter too and that’s an easy concept to get points on. All my Royal Treatment Class Series include an Auto and Umbrella Class that tells you what to focus on. Hello, here in central Florida. Took the 440 in Florida back in February through GEICO and after watching your videos made 78%. I am an old nobody, have a mentally ill son and married to a narcissist. If I don't pass I wont have income to help my only child with basic necessities like food and shelter. Been studying as much as possible 2-4 hours daily. I keep taking the practice test 30 - 60% for the last 5 weeks. Next week Im supposed understand everything and take the Nevada exam. I cant afford to fail if I do I have to pay for another exam and be jobless. My employment is contingent on passing the Nevada exam. I’m taking my first exam Thursday and I’m terrified. Every time I take the comprehensive on ADbanker I do worse and worse. Last night I had a dream that all the multiple choice questions were correct and no wrong answers were listed but yet no matter what answer I chose it was wrong. I have 3 attempts to pass. And while I feel like I have learned so much I feel like I’ve absorbed nothing . But these videos are really helping.i hope lol

With the life and health exam, there are separate chapters that make up the content when you look at the exam breakdown. What I like to do since I know and understand the information within all of the chapters, is to focus on the content that is the same between life and health. This way you get to double dip on your learning, and not be overwhelmed with all the things you have to know. So first, we focus on the things that overlap. Completing the Application and Field Underwriting overlap as well as Life Provisions and Health Provisions. Both of these chapters almost look identical between life and health, but the life provisions chapter will also include Settlement Options for Life Insurance and Non Forfeiture Options. Completing the app and field underwriting and both chapters are all about the application process an agent goes through when selling a policy as well as the basics of life/health insurance. Next up are provisions. While there are different provisions in life and different provisions in health, many of them will overlap. Provisions are things that kind of set the rules for how policies work and a good amount of them are simply definitions, and many do require memorization of numbers. Provisions also tends to be one of the largest chapters on all state exams, sometimes even up to 25% or more of the exam is just on provisions. While you will learn in your studies all about the various life policies, they love to test you on Term Vs Whole and the differences between them more than other life policies. Annuities which are actually the opposite of life insurance require mostly knowing all the definitions, Annuitant, Annuitization, Accumulation, etc. For health, they really like you to know the difference between HMO and PPO, as well as a good understanding of disability insurance. Lastly, you want to be really decent in state law. Most state exams will have this chapter at around 20% or more of the exam. While every state is different and has different numbers, you need to know which numbers are important, and which things you should memorize from this chapter. Commercial Policies are inside both Types of Property and Types of Casualty. Commercial Policies are hundreds of pages worth of study and content and you don’t need to know it all. Lastly, you want to be really decent in state law. Most state exams will have this chapter at around 20% or more of the exam. Hi Melissa, i was wondering if you knew the breakdown for the NC P&C exam how much of it tends to be commercial vs. personal lines? The personal lines are tripping me up the most (i don’t use them at all in my job) but don’t want to overly spend time on them if not needed. What I like to do since I know and understand the information within all of the chapters, is to focus on the content that is the same between life and health. This way you get to double dip on your learning, and not be overwhelmed with all the things you have to know. So first, we focus on the things that overlap. Life Basics and Health Basics overlap as well as Life Provisions and Health Provisions. Both of these chapters almost look identical between life and health, but the life provisions chapter will also include Settlement Options for Life Insurance and Non Forfeiture Options. Life Basics is also known as completing the app and health Basics also known as field underwriting and both chapters are all about the application process an agent goes through when selling a policy as well as the basics of life/health insurance. While you will learn in your studies all about the various life policies, they love to test you on Term Vs Whole and the differences between them more than other life policies. Annuities which are actually the opposite of life insurance requires mostly knowing all the definitions, Annuitant, Annuitization, Accumulation, etc. Next up are provisions. While there are different provisions in life and different provisions in health, many of them will overlap. Provisions are things that kind of set the rules for how policies work and a good amount of them are simply definitions, and many do require memorization of numbers. Provisions also tends to be one of the largest chapters on all state exams, sometimes even up to 25% or more of the exam is just on provisions. For health, they really like you to know the difference between HMO and PPO, as well as a good understanding of disability insurance. Lastly, you want to be really decent in state law. Most state exams will have this chapter at around 20% or more of the exam. While every state is different and has different numbers, you need to know which numbers are important, and which things you should memorize from this chapter. I teach that information in my insurance regulations classes which are included in all my Royal Treatment Class Series. The major things to know are General Insurance, PC Basics, Dwelling, Homeowners and Auto. These categories require memorization of names, amounts, some math, and a working understanding of how this type of insurance works. General Insurance is the foundational chapter and when you know it well, it helps with all the other chapters. Most states will range in how much this chapter is tested typically being around 5% to 10%, but since it’s the foundation for all else, you want to be decent in knowing these terms, especially anything related to contract law. All my Royal Treatment Class Series include a General Insurance Terms Class. PC Basics is one of the most important chapters and can be up to 20% of the state exam. This chapter covers Policy Structure, Policy Provisions, and lots of definitions. All my Royal Treatment Class Series include a PC Basics Class. Dwelling and Homeowners can seem difficult to understand but after I break them down in my Royal Treatment Class Series, you’ll see how easy you can get a lot of points in these chapters. You want to focus on policy names, policy coverages and amounts, which are named or open peril. All my Royal Treatment Class Series include a Dwelling and Homeowners Class. There are also math questions related to Property Policies, but you never quite know if you’ll get 0 or 5 questions with math. It won’t break you to fail every math question if you are strong in other areas, but it certainly helps to be prepared for them and I teach them very simply. The math on the exam requires a memorization of insurance rules, coverage amounts, an equation to learn and input into a calculator (most every state allows calculators). All my Royal Treatment Class Series include math examples. Now, in most states you do not need to know Commercial Policies to be able to pass, but it’s great to have some working knowledge to secure points in that chapter. If you're taking personal lines, you don't need commercial at all and can skip this paragraph. If you’re in Alabama, you definitely need commercial as it’s 26% of your exam! Commercial is hundreds of pages worth of study and content and you don’t need to know it all. All my Royal Treatment Class Series include a Commercial Class that tells you what to focus on with my Gold Series having the most extensive commercial videos including CGL, Workers Comp and Bonds. If you’re taking the Personal Lines exam, you do not need to know any Commercial Policies. For Auto insurance, you’ll get tested on both Personal Auto and Commercial Auto. Personal Auto is easier, so make that your biggest focus. Memorize the Parts of an Auto Policy, how they respond in an accident and definitions like Split limit and Per occurrence. All my Royal Treatment Class Series include an Auto Class that tells you what to focus on. Lastly, you want to be really decent in state law. Most state exams will have this chapter at around 20% or more of the exam. While every state is different and has different numbers, you need to know which numbers are important, and which things you should memorize from this chapter. Im so glad you said this. There is another popular channel promting memorizing practice exams and i thought...no way. Ive studied to take the mortgage loan officer exam and you definitely need to understand concepts and any math because sometimes that exam did give the same questions but what happens guys when your questions are totally different or they give two questions and there are two possible answers but you need to give the one they deem best so it gets tricky. Insurance terms and related concepts, and policy provisions and contract law are two of the simplest chapters to study since they have the least amount of material to study, usually about 20 pages in total for both chapters. It is very easy to grab many points here, then it is to grab them in any of the other chapters. Most of these chapters are definitions that can be easy to memorize when you use my class series. If you have already studied and failed these are most likely the chapters you need help on. For the Types of Property chapter, it can be really difficult to grab many points here because the chapter is so large. You’re reading a hundred pages worth of study, so trying to secure points across hundreds of pages worth of material can be difficult. What I encourage people to do is focus on Dwelling, Homeowners, and Flood. Dwelling and Homeowners can seem difficult to understand but after I break them down in my Royal Treatment Class Series, you’ll see how easy you can get a lot of points in these chapters.
