I believe this heated unit is the best. It’s a $10,000 pressure washer.

But, of course, anything you can rig together that can get the job done is something that I would recommend. It’s about getting the job done at whatever budget you have. You can attach a hotbox to most pressure washers which is cost efficient and you can get the hot water you need.

Some builders don’t do certain things. That’s why. Everyone has a different style of how they do things. Sure I could have gotten a trailer 2 hours down the road but it’s not the trailer that I wanted.

I am up for any way to answer, but I really want a hot water system and I cant get it to start, but I have some networking going on to get into commercial in the next few months. Anyway, I saw some cool hot water systems at Power Wash store in San Antonio. Maybe they dont do trailers. Only been there once. But why go all the way to Virginia? There are multiple trailer builders in Texas.

@@AustinDavis24 yeah, it is a uniquely complex set up. I used to live in Virginia and did the road trip from there to Colorado by motorcycle when I moved. I do long road trips a lot. The journey is cool. I am tempted to do the same when I am ready.

Polk and I have gone our separate ways. Great guy, builds great equipment, but I went with another builder when it comes to trailers and skids now.

@@AustinDavis24 Still debating between a skid (or flatbed) and a trailer to start off with. Plan on being a single truck guy since this will be my retirement job to stay busy and no longer be a W2 fool who can’t write off almost all my expenditures.

@@beerbrewer9996 On this, from all that I have seen, if you are going cold water, truck skid setup is best. Its not as convenient to be driving around neighborhoods with a long trailer. It is much more cost for a trailer. It is usually used because you have a much bigger set up. So if you are doing residential or just starting, I say go truck. Austin is scaling up, going commercial. You get into hot water, you go commercial. You see how many tanks he has? How big the boiler system is? You want that trailer for the space. Thats likely a 10-14 foot trailer and still fully used. Truck beds cant match it. The weight on the trailer is also massive also. You dont really want to put that on a truck. That is when its better to put that wear on a trailer rather than a truck. That is my thought. I was hoping to start with hot water set up, but the cost is 10k+ easy. Can at least do cold water with 5k and get something real good. So I will scale up as soon as I can also, or put it on the card as soon as I land a job that needs it. So I am starting with a truck setup I will try to build myself, all basic, and grow into something nicer as soon as I can.

@@waltermh111 Thanks and you have great points. I liked his skis from Polk and since I am in Florida was really considering ordering from them but also looking at Southeast Soft Wash and C3. Was considering getting a flatbed F250/350 from GSA auction so that would give me more room than a truck bed. Just little concerned that thanks to Justin and Aaron too many people are trying to saturate the market. I would like to market to commercial right out of the box and have about $30,000 set aside to get up and running. By degree is in Chemistry so I have a strong background in the chemicals which I intend to use for marketing. I have worked for 34 years as a W2 employee and want the benefits of being a business owner to start writing things off. Goal is to be up and running next fall but I want to make good decisions right out of the box and not have to upgrade less than a year in. Go big or go home!!

@@beerbrewer9996 well you know I get what you're saying that the RU-vid channels that are really only there to market their courses really upsell the idea of getting into the market. And they underscell the difficulty or say that if you pay them they will solve the difficulty problem. The good thing is I don't believe you have to worry about those guys cuz most of them will not last the year. Which means all you have to do is build your reputation and you can get recurring customers and if you're going to go commercial you don't even have to worry because 95% of new people entering the market cannot touch commercial anytime soon after starting. The amount of equipment needed is just different. Basically you can't do commercial with $1,000. With $5,000 you can but you're obviously going to be limited in projects or take more time. That's just my thoughts but I'm not sweating it. I've known people to upgrade to a flatbed but that doesn't change when you need a trailer. The space still can't compare but for cold wash a flatbed is obviously going to be much better when you're having multiple systems on it like pressure wash soft wash tanks etc... For me I have looked at the options and what I found was a Silverado 2500 and I will see where the job takes me. I do have some ideas for commercial work. I thought I had somebody I could trust as a partner and they completely screwed up and lost me a possible 50,000+ a year commercial contract. Not really the right place to complain about that loss but I have some other networking going on... Just gotta get the equipment together and find another partner. I do have one partner for travel work and I might be going to Florida in the next week or two to help with disaster recovery. Just waiting to get everything together and then I'm going to most likely run over there and see if I can help Florida and Florida can help me.
