I’d love to know about British wrestlers hometowns. Some of us would Rather Not be so fucking ignorant. SPOTIFY thinks I would like York and I have no clue what that means
they are not lads . it is a AI voice . for some reason somewhere along the line someone made the mistake of thinking a british accent is more appealing . personally, i find terms like lad and mate coupled with lazily enunciated words that sound like someone is talking like they have a mouth full of bangers and mash is funny and i often find myself mocking every wehhhhrd whioh oueye ave uh gloss uv wahugh.pip pip giuv nah
@@nicholaslee4458 I had this playing as background noise but if I’m not mistaken, after the awkward ones (Alaska and hawaii) I believe they went from the top at right going to left and working thier way down
29:30 as for West Virginia, it came about because Virginia's western counties were loyal to the Union and refused to join the Confederacy with the rest of the state during the lead in to the American Civil War, instead choosing to found a new state
Looks like they just went from left to right on a map. Took me forever to find my home state (Louisiana) and to see if my favorite wrestler (The Rock) made the list (he didn't. lol).
Well, Punk can go to the side for Honest Abe. That guy had a promo so intense, that writers forgot to write it. The guy developed chokeslam. The guy fought vampires during his career. He had extreme feud with a wrestling stable from the South.
That "hello Wyoming" at the start is literally the most acknowledgement Wyoming will get all year. Most of us forget it's there. Same with New Hampshire and Vermont.
Born and raised in new Hampshire, and can agree with both sentiments here. We get 0 love and ya our no seatbelt rule and live free or die is ummm something alright.
There’s a question I would like an answer to, if any Americans would indulge me for one moment. Why is Kansas and Arkansas both pronounced differently? For years I’ve called it “ar-kanas” rather than “arkin-saw”. 😂
Yeah Texas Is The Birthplace Of The Von Erichs, Undertaker, Booker T And Stevie Ray, Dusty Rhodes, Jake The Snake Roberts, Shawn Micheals And Eddie Guerrero.
@@topeconhelloMost (I hazard to say almost all of them) countries have an equivalent to states. Smaller administrative divisions. Canada has 10 provinces and three territories.
The UK would be significantly shorter, I imagine it'd just be one for England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. And I'd assume Finlay is a dead cert for the last one.
Canadian Provinces British Columbia: John Tenta Alberta: Bret Hart Saskatchewan:Roddy Piper Manitoba:Chris Jericho Ontario:Edge Quebec:Pat Patterson Newfoundland:Ed White PEI:Hangman Hughes New Brunswick: Rene Dupree Nova Scotia: Rocky Johnson
Good on u for knowing the ten provinces but uh u forgot the three territories (Yukon Northwest Territory *original i know* and Nunavut which was made a territory for the Inuit peoples (no that's not a typo Inuit is literally one tribe of people but the term inuit is used to describe all natives tribes who live in the Artic) in 1999)
Piper and Bret (the miserable fk) are the only impressive ones. Piper is overrated though. Jericho has destroyed his legacy. Your uncle Pat is a man of renown
Other great wrestlers from Minnesota are Greg Gagne, Mr. Perfect, Rick Rude, X-Pac, Bob Backlund, Curtis Axel, Molly Holly, The Road Warriors, Smash of Demolition, and Chad Gable
I used to believe that HHH is from Connecticut and had no idea that he is actually from my home state. One of my favorite wrestlers of all time and had probably had the best wrestling theme songs IMO.
Little trivia here Adam: Maine is not the easternmost state, Alaska is technically because part of the Aleutian Islands (the long chain of Islands that come off Alaska's southwestern edge) is across the International Date Line! Alaska is simultaneously, the northernmost, westernmost, and easternmost state in the Union!
@@RKStrikerJK5What? I disagree.. Moolah was one of the first important womens wrestlers and not only that but she was the representation of womens wrestling for 50+ years.
@@TheLoveHateRelationshipOfLifeshe was the representation of American women’s wrestling because she monopolized training, forced the other women into debt, and was a glorified pimp for the female wrestlers she booked.
The film isnt named after the setting of the main plot, its named fargo because thats where the chain of events to come and link everything originated.
Boston’s nickname “Beantown” goes back to the Puritan days. Since they didn’t work or eat meat on the Sabbath people would keep crocks of baked beans warming on their hearths all through the weekend. Visitors and people passing through started referring to it as “Beantown” and the name just stuck. There’s also a famous regional treat called Boston Baked Beans, which aren’t beans at all but candy-coated peanuts.
A few other Wrestlers from Minnesota include Rick Rude, Chad Gable, Tiffany Straton, Molly Holly, X-Pac and Erick Rowan. Coincidentally I ended up going to school with Rowan and Curt Hennig's nephew
The fact that you gave GA to Ron Simmons touched my heart. He is looked over so often I thought for SURE it would’ve been Cody or A.J.. Simmons has always been one of my favorites, I appreciate you for giving him the nod he greatly deserves
The Gagne family still lives in Minnesota. I'm really surprised that you'll didn't mention that Rick Rude, Curt Henning and the Road Warriors are all from Minnesota. Rick & Curt grew up right outside Minneapolis in Robbinsdale, MN. And you're correct, Brock Lesnar isn't from Minnesota, he just went to college at the U of M. I just had to comment and rep my home of the Twin Cities metro, which includes Robbinsdale.
Coming from Oregon (and before I reach that segment in the video), I was GOING to say Rowdy Roddy Piper, but he’s a Canuck who came down here… now I’m curious!
By the end of this video I thought I’d comment something about the great state of Michigan, but now all I can think of is “Wasn’t expecting Teenage Bottlerocket to get name dropped in a Cultaholic video”
Someone who wasn’t said for Michigan but should have been talked about is bruiser Brody which is another one name added to the great list of wrestlers from Michigan
I know people always say Texas, Florida, and Minnesota have the most but dude Michigan has the following off the top of my head: Kevin Nash, Steiner Brothers, The Original Sheik, Sabu, RVD, Christopher Daniels, Allysin Kay, Chris Sabin, Alex Shelley, Sgt Slaughter, Rhino, Eric Bischoff, Brandi Rhodes, Preston Vance/10, and Excalibur.
I would argue Ken Kennedy is better than the actual name listed. Even the Crusher would have been a better option as he is still known to this day here in the cheese state.

Why is the title "Best pro-wrestler" when you didn't pick Shawn Michaels, AJ Styles, Cody Rhodes, and Roman Reigns from their respective states. I agree that Stone Cold is a bigger name than Shawn and Hogan is bigger than Roman, but the title isn't "The Biggest wrestling names from every state." It's "The best pro-wrestler from every state." And Ron Simmons from Georgia instead of AJ Styles or Cody Rhodes is just absurdity at its peak.
No slight on the man but Big Kev is NOT the best Pro-Wrestler from Detroit, let alone Michigan. Not saying he's bad and isn't one of the biggest stars in the business but the likes of MCMG, RVD & Christopher Daniels I think are just better when it comes to ability between the ropes.
I was like "What about Vader or Bobby Lashley" for Colorado before I remembered that they weren't from there, only moving to my beloved Mile-high city as adults
WHOA WHOA WHOA! How could you completely gloss over Ted DiBiase for Nebraska? The second richest man from Omaha...while Ted will always be The Million Dollar Man, Warren Buffett has Billions. Sorry Ted. You wanna pick the Baron over Sting and DiBiase, fine. But to mention "Mantaur" and NOT mention DiBiase?
So Sting not taking a top spot due to a technicality of being born in one place and moving.....starting to feel like you're doing almost as dirty as WWE did 🤔
This whole list is like "we could've gone with John Cena or The Undertaker for this state, but instead we're going with Big John Baloney who wrestled in 1521"
And Taker & Cena will both tell you how important Big John was, how impactful his legacy is, and how he built the house and system that allowed both of those men to become global superstars. Good or bad, there's a deep respect for what came before in the greats
Was waiting to hear LA Knight named for Maryland. He's the only person from my hometown to ever achieve anything, but thought he had no chance against Scott Hall. But instead you went with a non-wrestler in Stacy Kiebler???????
As a Marylander, I understand the Keibler pick; though LA Knight could overtake her fame in a few years time. But shoutout, too, to Gillberg and James Ellsworth.
You mention wrestler history of so many states, why did you just gloss over Minnesota? Bob Backlund came from Minnesota, and has the 2nd longest reign in the history of the WWE. Also, Rick Rude, Curt Hennig (you mentioned him as part of AWA, but not his Minnesota connection), Jesse Ventura, Road Warrior Hawk along with Paul Ellering, even Sean Waltman. And AWA's legacy is massive...one of the reasons WWE needs to go to Minnesota for a Wrestlemania for that legacy alone.
This list is trash. Greg the Hammer Valentine is one of the best heels all time. From Seattle Washington so you messed up. Torrie Wilson is from the bimbo era of bra and panties gimmick. WWE putting all the bimbos in the Hall of Fame to keep them from talking. Minnesota had great wrestlers, I don't think Verne was the best from there.
As a proud Nebraskan, I'm proud of our pick, and a proud Omahan, I'm even prouder! I"m going to look up some Baron Von Rascki matches, gotta support our local homie :)
Minnesota is super naturally filled with talent for a state its stature for wrestling…and music. Bob Dylan, Prince, The Replacements and a host of others…not bad!
Imagine being Randy freaking Orton and still not being the best in your state. The person who created this list sure deserves praise for the an=mount of research they put in.
That "hello Wyoming" at the start is” I am a fan of Dexter Lumis is billed from Recluse, Wyoming. I don't know if he's actually spent any time there, but if so, I would've picked him over Garett Bishoff Anyways, great idea for a video, lads! I actually lived in Wyoming for ten years! I have desperately searched state archives to see if any wrestling shows even happened there! I saw a map once for the coverage of stampede wrestling, and that map covered the top north of the state, but I’ve never seen anything else besides that. It was truly hard to be a wrestling fan there! 15:20 Boston is called Beantown because of the Puritans who founded the colony. Due to their religious devotion, they didn't work on the Sabbath aka Sundays, "work" including cooking. So they could eat, they made large pots of baked beans, which they kept warm over the hearth, providing food for the weekend. Hence Beantown, a term coined by visitors to the colony Stone Cold and Taker are the biggest WWE superstars from Hate Texas, but the "worst pro-wrestler" from Texas is definitely Shawn Michaels. I'm just curious why it isn't in alphabetical order or any kind of order lol hate Texas deserves its own 10 best wrestlers video I used to believe that He is from hate Connecticut and had no idea that he is actually from my home state. She literally set Western women's wrestling back half a century. Having the "Fabulous" Moolah on this list and leaving off Scott Hall is just a bit...well, pish. I really disagree with South Carolina with the Fabolous moolah. I could easily make an argument she hurt women wrestling more than help it. Jim Cornet is like that crazy uncle who comes to dinner spouts boarding racist s**t then goes back home and entertainers RU-vid with his antics Texas is stacked Tbh, and I'm kind of surprised the Miz lost this one there aren't more wrestlers. Bars, tough sobs, cold weather forcing indoor congregations Dexter Lumis.
Adam would not disagree with you, many times in their videos they preface her entries with her legacy-shattering actions, but objectively she likely is the biggest name to come from there.
Big show would easily be the name who else won the WCW WWE and ecw world heavyweight championship. I mean he won a heck of a lot of championships as well. Also he didn't mind putting people over and never screw anyone out of a championship either.
RU-vidrs make mistakes on purpose to encourage more comments on their videos. So here’s the obligatory ‘Macho Man was always billed from Sarasota Florida not California’ comment. You’re welcome Pacitti
My home state of Texas could have its own top 50. That being said, the research and editing alone that went into this video is worth 1,000 likes per state minimum. Smash that like button rasslin fans 👊⛓️💥
@@StairwellTheCat it seemed like they moved the goalposts at times. Sometimes it was where they were born, sometimes it was where they were raised. Flair was born in Tennessee I believe, but was raised by his foster parents in Minnesota. Just because he is more known for living in North Carolina doesn’t mean he didn’t grow up elsewhere. If it was only by birth, Funk or Foley for Indiana. If it was growing up there, Flair for Minnesota for sure. Also, it’s borderline criminal Terry Funk didn’t even get an honorable mention for either Indiana or Texas.
Savage was born in Ohio. But grew up and lived the majority of his prowrestling life in Illinois. Just south of Chicago. The should have been Mox. You could have given Macho Illinois.
I'm a little confused. Every promotion Randy Savage was ever in he was billed from Sarasota FL. I don't ever remember him being billed from CA. No love for Alexia Bliss? She's from Ohio too. She's from Columbus.
@@dil09ful yeah, and Alea Bliss is both of those things; Born in and billed from Columbus. Ohio. Macho Man I know from watching another video like this was born in Columbus, but billed from Sarasota, FL. It was that way his whole career. I've never heard of CA having anything to do with him either in real life or kayfabe.
