@@Jeneral_Jenkins I don’t play fortnite, although I’d argue that it takes way more skill to play fortnite then any of these games that require you to have a fight pad. But you wouldn’t know cuz you’re still stuck playing brain dead games
Finally someone checks that the right stick / button module cannot be swapped, been searching for that so long, well pffft, thank you for pointing it out.
Does this controller really have rumble? Other places have said there is no rumble at all. I understand it has no haptics but does the controller vibrate at all? I would greatly appreciate a reply.
looks like a good controller. Between this the dual sense edge and the new razer controller its a hard decision. Im swayed more towards this right now.
I just returned my razer v2 pro. It's a big piece of chunky uncomfortable garbage 🗑️. The Sony one has only 2 paddles so it's completely out for me. Can't wait for this thing!
Thanks for sharing your review! As much as I wanted to get this, it sucks that the shoulder buttons (L & R) don't have the adaptive triggers and adaptive feedback. Though I will say that the ability to swap the D-Pad over to make it like an xbox controller and the fightpad are excellent features.
Would be cool to see both those features on more 3rd party controllers but sadly I’m pretty sure Sony patented both of them for their own use. Thankfully I managed to get a pre-order of the Pro Dualsense when that drops next month! 😀
This controller is more for competitive. So you won't have those or the rumble. Lighter is better. Trigger stops are better for shooters. I have 2 modded regular controllers for story games and games I want the adaptive feedback. And am looking at a pro controller without that stuff just for Destiny 2. So far leaning towards this just for that game since I don't care about other shooter games.
Bro if you want adaptive triggers that means you are a casual gamer, and why would someone who doesn't play a game competitively want a 180 dollar controller. Just use the regular PS5 controller if you aren't playing competitively lol
Idk I had the Astro c40 (I think is what it was called). Was great but got stick drift within a few months, bought new toggle modules, they messed up, got replacement parts from battle beaver, they messed up…threw out the back door an shot it a few times then threw it away. I have a bad feel about this controller with the interchangeable modules. 😬✌️
had my c40 for about 2 weeks and the drift was out of control. got new stick modules and it lasted about 3 weeks. i went through 5 sets before the remote just died and wont charge or anything.
The modules werent bad but if ur household has pets or even ur pwn hair/dust would mess with the sensors its very easy to take apart n clean em then they were good for another few months i still have my c40 been thinkin bout scuff but im afraid it wont be the same i jus love the size of the paddels on the c40
@@DominicanNinja i went through 2 controllers (managed to get them to send me a whole replacement just before the one year warranty expired) and about 8 pairs of replacement modules/sticks they sent me. I also bought two pairs of the battle beaver modules, and they last a lot longer, i only recently swapped the left stick. The C40 is brilliant. I’ve got the dualsense edge preordered but this control looks good. My only issue is reliability because i’m a bangout and some weekends play all day!
Great video! Does it charge inside the case like the Xbox elite controller? Edit: and is the USB required for the PS5 or is that for PC play? Edit#2: seems release date got pushed back to 12/16
I honestly think they pushed it out so more reviewers (or paid reviews) could be posted to get more hype for the controller. I don't mind that but I find it weird that no explanation was really given, but just today alone, there are 5 new videos and counting about this
@@ricefist yeah that was annoying. It got me through the last years of PS4. I have the edge pre ordered. Not sure if I should go for this one right now
What is the warranty on this ? I can only see the standard statement on PDP that say depending on product 90 days to 5 years. Which is it for this ? Thanks
I may get this when it goes on sale eventually the dual sense is great but for some reason it’s uncomfortable. My series x doesn’t give me that problem, gonna try this since it’s more like it. I only wish it had all the features such as haptic and adaptive triggers. Other than that it’s better in every sense of the way.😊
@@shahmeerkhan6206 my issue with ps5 controller features is most people don't use them or like them for most games especially competitive play, tons of cool concepts but overall a waste of features just to up the price of the controller.
Few questions. Can you switch just the joysticks when you eventually get stick drift? If not what would be the cost of ordering whole new modules? Also what’s the stock pulling rate? Really thinking about buying this but I feel like I need more info before I pull the trigger.
The dual edge u can swap them out. I’m getting that one although this is nice but no haptic feedback,no speaker on front of controller, no module swap. Not worth it for me if I played lots of fighting games then maybe and the button swaps are cool but when you get stick drift you have to send it in show proof of purchase wait 2 weeks in the meantime u have to use regular controller without paddles. Go with the dual sense
Same. Dualsense is overrated and uncomfortable. Like the features but not comfy for me. Bought mw2 on ps5 and it was a huge mistake wish I would of got it on xbox. I'm gonna pick up this controller tho I'm hoping it feels close to my elite 2 and I can actually use my ps5 cuz that's what my friends are on.
@@jimmytimber7074 I'm glad to know I'm not the only one feeling like this, I also switched over to ps5 because most of the friends I played with switched over. And although ps5 has some nice features my home is still xbox. But yeah I don't care for the haptic or vibration I keep them turned off I don't see the hype in these dualsense controllers either.
Yeah my friends praise it because they are sony or nothing. They all have never used an elite 2 tho. Elite 2 just fits my hands like a glove. I actually just tried it again playing high on life and wow is it a nice controller. I preodered a victrix for my ps5 and it got delayed again. I'm hoping once I do recieve the controller it feels somewhat like my elite 2. I have a aim dualsense for ps5 right now and I'm constantly adjusting my hands. It's not a horrible controller for stock but just not comfortable with paddles. That is why I opted for the victrix and not the edge. I just don't see the edge being comfortable either. Hopefully be able to sell my aim and get a lil bit of my money back. Once you go paddles it's near impossible to use a stock controller. I do think the haptic feedback is cool on casual games tho I just could care less about it when I'm playing mw2 or any online fps multiplayer.
I pre-ordered this controller on Amazon. First it said delivery Feb 6-10. Then it updated and said it would be here Jan 26th. Then on the 26th it said they don't know when it will get here. Kinda pisses me off all the content creators can get one but the rest of us just have to wait.
@@MrElios300 my man found the golden ratio! It says in the product description that this is a tournament ready controller, my Brother in Christ, why on God's green Earth would somebody use this $200 controller to play Ratchet and Clank?
apparently it has no vibration this control was reading an ign article and it doesn't even have any speakers in front it sounds stupid and if many people play. Shooting games don't use retunbo but in my case if I'm about to cancel the pre-order and if the controller has a lot of things that are worth it but 180 dollars and a controller that is completely sponsored by Sony I think I'd better wait for the original Well, for all those who ask about the rumble and other things, apparently they do not have it since all the videos that I have seen of this control none mention about the rumble.
Finally a video of this controller but I have a question ❓ this controller have rumble and trigger feedback I think is called because I thinking to buy this controller
Pre ordered mine a couple weeks ago through amazon. Hoping I'll get it soon. I prefer the PS5 controller to the new Xbox controller but I think I can adjust to the Xbox style, given the layout customizability. I love the 5 different trigger stop options, looks like it will come in handy for FPS's like MW2/WZ2 which I play. Thanks for the video
@@MrTophatreaper I never got a date. Mine still says "We will email you when we have a delivery date." Hopefully they don't have supply shortage issues. I'll be happy as long i get it in December 😂
@@stonersparky Hmm interesting. I thought since I placed an order a couple days ago, I missed out on the ones coming out on the the 1st. I couldn't find any news regarding the delay either 😅
Yeah it's bs. I ordered mines from gamestop & it said that it drops today dec 1 now its saying it releases on dec 16 without notice. I literally just ordered mines 3 days ago
@@ryanspartan7853 I honestly think they pushed it out so more reviewers (or paid reviews) could be posted to get more hype for the controller. I don't mind that but I find it weird that no explanation was really given, but just today alone, there are 5 new videos and counting about this
@@youreinmydreamsnow thinking the same thing. It seems only certain reviewers got the controller and a lot of the information has been curiously left out or completely different (rumble/no rumble)
You have a roof over your head my man, a two week wait for your $200 controller to play games you suck at, that could've been spent on helping your community is not so bad. At least you're not living in a real warzone or a 4th World country like my beloved Mexico. Repent, touch grass and may you live a blessed, more fullfilling life
I hate the dualsense. I liked it initially but now I can't stand it. Same thing for some reason my ring fingers cramp up. It's just not a comfortable controller. I like all the features just not comfortable. I'm gonna give this a try because I like xbox layout better
I really want to know this too. I feel like everyone I've asked about this does not give a clear answer. Also some reviewer says it does not have rumble at all, but this guy says it does. This controller information is so conflicting and confusing.
@@eyobewassihoun4076 sadly it doesn't turn on the controller. Since it doesn't have Bluetooth, and uses a dongle. This controller gets more and more disappointing.
@@Timeforceletsgo yea , but I mean for the price , adjustable thumb stick , 4 buttons at the back is good , but I’m having second thought on wanting to get the dual sense edge but idk if dual sense edge is using the same type of joystick on a normal ps5 dual sense controller and having 2 back buttons only .
Slt je suis intéressé par la manette cependant j'aurais quelques questions, la manette a t'elle les gâchette adaptative et le retour haptique ? Les palette s'enlèvent t'elles ? Merci pour vos réponses et désolé d'avoir écrit en français.
The controller's not bad, but I did not like the triggers when I was playing tekken 8....plus You just really need to play with this to know if you like it or not
The fact that you cant place the right stick at the top right is the reason I won't be buying the controller. I have been eager to try a controller with that layout for the longest time.
Had this on pre-order but after 3 delays I cancelled and bought the Razer Wolverine controller which I returned when I discovered did not have haptics or vibration , went with Sony's DS Edge since it is the only Pro controller that has all of the features I wanted. To my understanding this one doesn't have vibration either.
Can you combine buttons? Like on fighting games like Tekken where grab is two buttons combined? Can they be assigned to maybe the back buttons on the handle?
Yeah this is bs they should at least give a discount or something to make up for the inconvenience. I pre-ordered from gamestop & it said it drops today December 1st now it jumped to the 16th without notice
Hey Bored, I was wondering how’s the grip on the front and back , I see other videos and no one talks about this ? I got my Best Buy notification that the release is pushed back to Friday instead of today . Let me know how’s the grip of you can I’d appreciate it .
@@blackscorp I didn't broski, they delayed it to the 16th but the company didn't say a damn thing anywhere. Makes me feel like something is going on that they don't want us to know yet but time will for sure tell
It’d be nice if I can actually receive it . Just got the Best Buy notification now the release date is Jan 1 st ! Pissed 😤 😡 canceled my order I give up
Bro first it was dec 1 then dec 16 now January first. Pushed back for the 3RD TIME. This is super unacceptable at least offer us 50 dollars off or something.
@@jljleogaming7293 exactly! I canceled my order with Best Buy I give in .. maybe later or something. I’m pissed, I wanted it because it reminded me of the Astro c40. Smh idk if I’ll ever get it
With it needing to use USB dongle there will be a noticeable higher lag so no way I would think this be the best available. And why usb-a to usb-c? Just go c to c. But they want to sell it out to PS4 owners I guess as well
With the vitrix Can u power up ya ps5 wit that controller .something no one talks about?iz that how you get paid. Or the controller for free.how no one talks of this..
They pushed the release of this controller back further...went from 12/01 to 12/16 to 01/01 and now February 2023 per their website and amazon. I had already canceled my preorder when it changed to 01/01/23 release date. The dual sense edge I have preordered will be here by the release of the controller. I just ordered a scuf reflex FPS for the time being, I really thought I was going to have this victrix controller in my hands by now. I've seen the Razer PS5 PRO controller in my local GameStop...but the reviews are trash. I've heard about durability issues with the Scuf but I'm taking a chance and if I do have issues I got the dual sense edge coming too. We know we can rely on that release date.
@@mommaduck79 nope not at this time…I’m very aware of their quality control issues tho. Been babying it since I got it but I also have my dual sense edge now. So rotating between the two and not making it a heavy users will hopefully help.
