Alex, I'm going to purchase one and would like for you to get credit. Can you tell me how I can ensure you get credit for my purchase? But I do have a question, I'd like to keep cost down and go with the Mito 750, but I don't want to regret it? Can you tell me by going with the Mito 750 instead of the 1500, am I giving up anything significant other than the size? @@sheri4673 I just went with the Mito Pro 750 and absolutely love it! Very powerful and I've gotten some amazing improvements in my facial skin texture already after only a week and a half. I can't wait to see what my skin will look like after a month or more.

@@hadleys.4869 Thank you for replying! May I ask, how often are you using it, and for what duration is each treatment? I did purchase mine and have used it twice in the past week. I've been taking it slow because there are warnings about some people experiencing a "detox" effect which leaves them feeling sick so in the articles I read they cautioned to introduce oneself slowly with treatments lasting only 2 or three minutes. Have you noticed any type of negative side effect?

@@sheri4673 I had zero detox effect and zero negative effects. I do Two 15minute sessions a day, 7 days a week. One first thing in the morning and one in the evening after work. I've noticed a remarkable improvement in my skin texture already.

@@AlexFergusdotcom The only thing really holding me back from purchasing the Biomax 900 is the hot spot test on the Biomax 900. How big of a deal is this when positioning your face a certain distance away? I currently have a Mito Pro 750 and don’t really have to worry about this issue. I would get the Mito Pro 1500 but its on back order until Mid May 2022!

I’m re-researching red light therapy again, after concerning myself for the past two years with my grown son’s various mold, Lyme, and long Covid illnesses. He has pain all over his body and complains constantly. I think it’s mast cells. I also had mold, toxins from breast implants that nearly killed me, moving, etc., but now I have Lyme and a broken shoulder and can’t drive. The reason I’m saying this is because my son and I have headaches that (especially for him) are excruciating. No one can find out why, and we’ve had him to the very best integrative doctors who deal with this. He’s so light and sound sensitive, I’d like to see how it works, but won’t that bother his eyes and brain? I need to do new research, and find out, but is there something that detoxes and could target his brain that’s been damaged?

I received PlatinumLED BioMax 900 series, it is amazing! As I’m getting older a recovery from post-workout has been slow. I did red light+NIRED light for 20 min last night after lower body workout, and I am not experiencing any soreness today!

Great to hear! It works wonders doesn't it. I was out in the sun for a bit too long a few days ago (it's summer time here in NZ), my burn was pretty bad - it hurt putting a teeshirt on. 2x RLT sessions later (one that night, one first then in the morning) and there was no pain and no redness. It was unreal.

Thanks for your help! Ordered the Platinum 900+450×2 with the stand. Should receive on 1/24. Thanks for the discount. On 12/23 I suffered a ruptured quad tendon so I have had the leg immobilized for 5 weeks. Have been using the Healthlight pads in the meantime and they are aiding the healing process greatly. The full body panels should be even better.

Alex, I just enjoyed watching your RLT video. Thank you for making our job easier to understand in making a purchase. I am curious, have you heard of the company “Block Blue Light”. I especially like their mechanism to hold up the panels. They have a horizontal tripod that can be placed over your bed or a message table. I also liked the SAD mini table light to help get that 10,000 lux important light first thing in the morning. I would appreciate your thoughts and I can’t wait to watch more of your videos. Bloody good work! Thank you, Another consideration for us outside of the USA is freight. I just cancelled an order which had a US$250 freight charge. It was 'express freight' and since after over a week the order was still not processed it seemed like too much. (just seen its on your spreadsheet - but looks like rates have increased a lot since you did the vid!)

Love this! I watched this til the end for excitement to see if my 2 panels won. Not bad to be in 2nd and 7th place. I have Platinum LED BioMax 900 which is awesome for my entire whole body. But not the face. The Biomax's power heat wavelength are so strong that its too much for my face. So I use my other panel Joovv Solo for my face and body to sit down. I use them all together. They work great together as a team! They enhanced my athletic performance, youthful skin, testosterone, energy, mentality and pre/post workout recovery.

Thanks for sharing Alex, I have one question when using the Biomax 900. In the manual it says to cover the thyroid, testicles and eyes from being exposed to the light but many videos show people dont cover anything and that being fully exposed is the best for results. What do you suggest?

Hey, I personally use it on those areas without any covers. And I know there is research showing that RLT on those particular areas can be beneficial, so I'm not quite sure why they have included that in the manual, maybe it was a rules/regulation thing??

Great videos and much appreciated, Alex. I look to buy the MitoPro 750 when they are back in stock in a couple of weeks. In my research, I tried to find as much scientific data as I could find. With all of the seriousness, I wanted to share the sense of humor at the conclusion of one such study… These days, lanterns in red light districts have been replaced with red neon signs. But that is not the place to go for red light therapy. A better bet would be the commercially available red LED arrays that are at least supported by some, albeit not overwhelming, evidence.

Well done. A big concern is dosage. Its established that dose is imprtant. Too little or too much is not good. Do the top panels supply detailed instruction on how to use for different goals? Distance? Time? Frequency of use?

Yes most companies have a guide on dosing. How accurate they are though is anyones guess - thats because there is so much mixed evidence out there around dosing (and so many variables to account for). I am working on a disoing guide - it will take me a bit of time to get it done though.

Thank you Alex, being new to this whole idea of red light therapy this was great information. I have a couple of question that I hope you see and can help with, or anyone else can feel free to chime in. I am 72, 5'5, 143 pounds (US) so not slight but not big or wide. I take a 40 short suit in the US due to my shoulders but I am considered on the slim side. I think a panel is the best way for me as I need to do my back, my knee (I do have titanium both my back and one knee but that is never mentioned as an issue). Also need to address a shoulder and my sides in the thoracic region (these are all arthritis and orthopedic issues). So front and back and I have no idea if this means I have to do 2 sessions turning around to get the areas I need to. I assume that the Biomax and the Mita pro are made in China, confirmation would be helpful. I will buy one unit and I have to look at your third ranked unit as well, and I will probably buy with a stand although I could probably hand it off of a wall. Do you have any advise for me on any of the units? I did read that the Mita pro 1500 is heavy but that was just one reviewer so who know. Thank you for your in-depth analysis and I hope to hear back. I am not sure if the hot spot score is an issue for me not really understanding what that is all about. J S

Hey. Thanks :) I don't have a specific video covering that question and here's why: 1) The science on RLT for all those things you mentioned is solid - check out - aferg.co/science and www.alexfergus.com/blog/red-light-therapy-benefits 2) Though at the same time, it's hard to pinpoint exactly what wavelength, what intensity, what duration, what frequency etc is the optimal for each condition. It's why I haven't done content on this front. It's too messy - even the top researchers don't come out with clear cut recommendations. 3) I personally have had great experiences with joint health, skin health, well being etc using RLT - and this is across a bunch of panels. 4) All the RLT panels on the market do put out a decent amount of therapeutic red light - i.e. they work. Some have multiple wavelengths, some have more power, some have fancy things like pulsing options etc. Thats where my reviews can be helpful. If you're stuck/don't want to do a heap of research (and come out of it still not quite sure what you should get!) then just stick with a tried and tested panel like the BioMax (what I use) or the MitoRed MitoPro (a solid all rounder). It so far superior to other products and there is no paid advertisement or promoters only word of mouth so the consumer doesn’t pay extra . My question is how do these lights compare to the waves and strength of the red lights that spas and clinics are using for fat loss? They are using the lights from WardPhotonics, at least here in Florida in cosmetic clinics, dermatologysts etc to help reduce fat in stubborn pockets. I called Biomax folks and they said theirs are better, but I can't get the why. Ward Photonics claim they are the only ones FDA approved for fat lose and with test that can prove that and t hey provide info on their site. I am just trying to determine what thatmeans/how does it compare with these home use versions. Thoughts?

Hey, sorry I'll check the Spam tab, they may have ended up in there. Thanks for bringing to this to my attention, I've never seen these before. So I checked the spec's for that Ward Photonics device - www.wardphotonics.com/pdf/Specifications%20of%20UltraSlim%20Professional(1).pdf It looks just like a regular RLT panel - 150 LEDs, ~ 100mw claimed power at @ 6inches (which is similar to what most RLT claims). The only big difference is the wavelength - they are using 635nm not the typical 660nm. I know the MitoPro range have 25% of their energy going to 630nm - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ud7ig-xRXDA.html I haven't had a good look at the research around fat loss and wavelengths , BUT in this months RLT News video (be sure to subscribe, it will be out soon) I do report on a new study linking RLT to Fat loss. Based on my 5 minute research + my understanding of RLT - I would go with a device that has a lot of 630nm light (such as the MitoRed MitoPro panels) - and do my treatments at the comfort of my home. It will probably be a cheaper option long term as well. Good question btw!

I love the fact that the rojo you can change the amount of wavelength and I'm wondering with the biomax 900 change the intensity of the different wavelengths or is it just that you can turn off the blue light. I looked at your video and I couldn't figure that out. Can you turn off the 1060?

Hey, no you can't turn off the 1060nm without also turning off the 810/850nm. Rojo is the only panel that offers this function at the time of writing.

Hi Alex I want to use my panel in the garage while doing my cardio session. I had one in storage in the garage and it stopped working, I think this was due to moisture in the air during winter. It was a cheaper Chinese panel and I want to get a better panel now. Is there any issues using the Biomax or the MitoRed in a hot or cold environment? Hey, yeah it should be fine as long as it's dry. But if it gets damp over winter it may be best to store it inside. I left a rifle in a damp car shed one night - woke up in the morning and rust had already formed!!
