Took forever to get mine but it was worth the wait lol. I got the 2.5 brushless with the R32 body and it looks amazing. Looks even better after I added a light kit.
Got mine two months ago and absolutely love it! Same as this video and it drover perfectly straight out of the box! Since have done some upgrade and first thing was the shocks! Wait until you put the new MST Drift Shocks, it makes such a huge difference to the steering response. Love it!
nice, looks like they are mostly in-stock for the bodies I'm looking at (Y) looking for a good 1st car to get into R/C, looks like this may be a good one for that!
Just food for thought, you should probably mention that the wheels MST photographs on their RTR’s and the aggressive perfect fitment shown on the boxes is often not what is included in the box. My blue Toyota 86 RTR came with red chrome horrible fitting wheels 😂.
The body looks sick! That thing is slammed low like my real Alpha Romeo. The only annoying thing is going up and down curves at the gas stations so I keep gas at home to fill my car that I hardly drive, lol.
I built two of these bodies for my TB04R and TA05 V2….it’s so amazing and actually has great aero at high speeds. The issue is getting the wheels on standard 190mm touring car our far enough to fill the arches. It’s possible!
Congrats! For a battery, we used this one: www.amainhobbies.com/protek-rc-drag-race-2s-120c-sigraphene-shorty-lipo-battery-7.4v-5500mah-ptk-5132-21/p1275497 You'll need a wire lead with a t-style connector on it to work. This battery already has the lead and is much less expensive, but has lower capacity (should still last a good while though): www.amainhobbies.com/reedy-wolfpack-2s-hard-case-shorty-30c-lipo-battery-7.4v-3000mah-asc758/p945353 -Brett
Just bought this in canada for 600 CAD lol can you please list all the items you used on this build like the megnatic mounts and battery setup. Thank you!!
I would be curious to know how many losses in sales MST has taken because people can't buy these anywhere. I'm looking to buy a drift car, and this would be a good one, but I'm not waiting 4 months for one.
@AMain_Hobbies. Thanks for the info on the back order situation. I have just been waiting and waiting on a restock, it looks like that will never happen. I'll sign up for the back order request to hopefully reserve an R34. Does that process require a payment in advance? Also, on your 2.0 car, what wheels and tires are those, the gold 5 stars with the polished lip. Thank you.
Car definitely looks fantastic as well as seeming like a blast to drive if you have a track handy like that. I do have a question about something else I noticed in the video; what's the green body on that truck you guys have on a trailer on the drift track?
I think its a custom Element RC Ecto body: www.amainhobbies.com/element-rc-enduro-ecto-black-trail-truck-4x4-rtr-rock-crawler-asc40122/p1481278 It may be an Ecto chassis too, not sure. -Brett
Sorry, forget them; here is the kit: www.amainhobbies.com/scale-reflex-gorilla-mounts-magnetic-body-mount-kit-black-srf888100/p978170 Any washers will work, but if you need some: www.amainhobbies.com/protek-rc-aluminum-ball-stud-washer-set-black-12-0.5mm-1.0mm-2.0mm-ptk-8370/p456783 -Brett
Weak points - Servo (weak and will be lucky to get 30 mins play time) first light knock and it’s toast ! Plastic gear special. Motor & ESC lack any real punch not great on carpet out the box. Camber/toe setting very limited.
The MST is more sorted and better running from factory, but the Yokomo is far more upgradable and better for tuning for sure! I converted mine to a shark and its dialed!
Until values rocketed in the last 5 years the e30 325i in the UK was the drifters choice! You can't include the e30 M3 as that's in another league sharing only the bonnet (hood) with a standard one hence their crazy values. I've owned a 325i sport over 10 years now and it's gone sideways most times it was driven 😎
I honestly will never buy a MST ever again worst customer service worst with keeping after market parts on the market can’t even find their cars especially if your looking for a specific one so many better drift companies
