@@schorschmcgill it’s effectively that you can’t really tackle someone anywhere near the neck otherwise you will get penalised, so now everyone is forced to use better technique which results in better tackles 👍

@@schorschmcgill My apologies, it's really new refereeing directives rather than new laws. But if you watch enough rugby you'll see that some officials are managing to mess these very clear directives up with subjective calls!

Loved that Matt Fagerson tackle on Devoto and Warburton joking on comms that it was fairer than his on Vincent Clerc! I was hoping George Turner’s massive hit on Gregory Aldritt would be in here, apparently he’s the one to avoid in tackle practice at Glasgow!

Yeah that's what I thought watching both his hits, they aren't illegal because his arms are low enough but they easily could turn into illegal tackles if he isn't careful, they are lazy as well and the tackle technique really isn't great

5:55 is a no arms tackle from Davies. It's not a tap tackle because he comes in from the side and just throws his body at his legs

he’s a top player but his tackle technique is lazy, a few inches higher each time and he goes off with a concussion or a card or both

Great video, much better than a those 'best tackles' videos that just show all the red card challenges. Not sure about the final clip though? Is that not counted as a shoulder charge? No attempt to wrap the arms, and he's not just gone for an ankle tap?

Last tackle dangerous as fuck, could’ve easily just been kneed in the face and out cold. Same as most of halfpenny’s tackles, head is always on the wrong side hence why he ends up knocked out so often

Hmm not sure, on the replay it looks like he gets his shoulder in the way to protect his head. It happens so quick though doesn't it I bet he's not doing a dynamic risk assessment as he goes to tackle.

I m soorry but a nice tackle is taking a player standind getting both ball and the opponent The player who gives the Ball don t have to one pace inside and the Tgv pass through and instead of being tackled he goes kn the midle of the pole But this is rugby and as foot ball even at the tv .....
