🔹 In this video I show y’all what I believe to be the best Sarco grab build. It revolves around a charged bite and ambush combo play-style. Of course I don’t know everything so feel free to tell me if I made any mistakes in the comments, pls subscribe ❤️
🔸What’s the game?
- The game is Path of Titans, It is an MMO dinosaur video game currently in active development for home computers and mobile devices fully compatible with cross platform play. Play as one of 18 core dinosaurs in a rich ecosystem filled with complex AI creatures and up to 200 other players. Explore an environment filled with natural events, quests, guilds, adventures, and free-form play, all while enjoying a rich life, avoiding death, and augmenting your dinosaur to suit your play style.

Yeah clamp is fun and all, but when almost every mid-tier that you can pick up has the Anti Pounce/Grab hide it renders as useless.

2 things. First, just wait, I think they will change slick hide to a Stam drain penalty instead of a straight up immunity, and seccond off. This ability being a thing opens up SO many possibilities for mods and community servers to adjust stuff. Sure offical it ain't gonna be THE best. But aside from that, it's a massive addition.

@@doton639no one said it wasnt a big improvement, but its kinda dumb to make a whole update on pouncing and grabbing and then give 75% of the roster an immunity hide to it that 100% totally makes sense when your body is being surrounded by crocodile teeth

@@doton639but I agree a larger stam penalty would be much better than just straight up immunity. Maybe making the immunity only for feathered creatures because theyre harder to hold onto? Idk lol

Slick Scales/Feathers should have an improvement on its mechanics. I think you should still be grab/pounced, but the grabber/pouncer uses more stamina to hold on to target with slick hide.

It’s good but I think slick scales should make it to where you only have to tap spacebar once to escape or buck once and there off right away maybe the Stam thing you mentioned could pair with this?

It is a good idea but I just think buck needs to be more effevtive. poor hatze gets shredded by raptor with pounce.

Okay, so. As a sarco main, for water PVP, I would use armored tail, streamlined hide, charge bite, axsyphiating snap, drenched blows and a water based speed sarco. For land fights, either build aside for the speed sarc probably will work better. For land, I would use either lunge or gator dash or even armored tail. What ever you might be fighting and where you are. I haven't had so much experience for that. For senses, I would use ambush. Hide could be either resilient or streamlined. Again, depends on what style you're using for land. Charge bite and regular bite. I believe thats all. So if you're confused about me commenting about something a little different, I just thought that I'd put that out there for people to see. The water pvp build is usually for me, and overall, I enjoy it. Take care.

You should use the 10% more damage when the victim is wet because if u grab someone they gonna bite u which puts us in combat so ambush won’t work but with the drenched blows ability u drag em In and they get wet so gg

Nice vid and I've noticed u dont know so I can tell you: The damage you're dealing to head vs the leg/chest/anythig else then tail is the same. Only if you aim to tail the target will get less damage (:

Correction: Some dinos take no extra damage to the head, some do.

Baby snatcher 3000 I love it lol it’s a great build just sucks fighting groups of semi aquatics with it. Best to have another sarco with you that has different bite abilities for full affect

Just saw a megalania 2v1 sarcos, and one pacy the other day. Pacy was leading me a Meg and a few others to the water where the sarcos would lie in wait. Next thing I see is another Meg come charging out of nowhere and just annihilate the 2 sarcos. Asked what the build was, water build, but venom sub species. Once I finally unlocked dive I understood. I'm now the sarco checker when the group wants to drink water safely.

when im going after rexes, i almost never go for the head. most rexes use face tank and if you hit the headshot itll do less damage then if you just went for a body shot. body shots are less risky and youll most likely just do more damage over all.

Okay I have a question. It is clear that the Charge bite does the most damage, however if you are in a quick land fight, and your aim is not that good (as mine in my recent Sarco video). Which is better, to have the normal bite that does moderate dame for fast moving targets and the grab bite on the other. Or Normal and grab bite combo. Great video, and you are not that bad with Sarco as you claim to be :D!

Personally I think if you go on land you should switch off grab and use bite + Charged bite If not I guess bite could work but only on land, bite is useless in water if it’s your only attack

How exactly does sarcos charged bite work? Cuz whenever i charge it and bite something it does damage but not as much as in your videos... 1.do i need to hit specific parts or just charge it longer? (I charge it till sarco cant open his mouth any further) and 2.how can u oneshot other big creatures with that charged bite? Like can i oneshot full hp sucho/rex/spino with the sarco somehow?

Well it’s because of the ambush sense, if you are not in combat (the red eye symbol indicates combat) your charged bite does something like 50% more damage (that may be an outdated number but it still boosts your damage on the first bite out of combat)

if youre using the ambush sense then you get a significant damage increase when you arent in combat. the longer you charge your bite, the more damage it does so try to let it charge all the way to maximize damage, as well as trying to go for body shots or head shots depending on what creature youre fighting. most of the time you cannot one shot fully grown fully healed creatures like a rex, only way id think you might be able to is it theyre sleeping, you get a fully charged bite, and have ambush.

Tbh nictitating membrane on aquatics is underrated, at least on semi realism/realism servers, because imo it's way more worth it to be able to see your enemies in the water from a far distance rather than get a very small increase in damage and still only see them when they're close enough to attack, it helps alot for sarcos if they're trying to ambush other aquatics and just in the fight in general, similarly to how dilos in the isle could just run out of night vision distance and then run around and go in for hits from behind lol, maybe when I get used go editing I could make a video showing how useful it is, especially considering people only go to GP river where the water is SUPER murky due to being 0% 90% of the time lol

I definitely approve because I started using that for officials while my sarco is young. I was able to see things alot better than anyone else, because most people use ambush. People who use ambush but don't want any fights are making huge mistakes. It's best to know where your enemies are.

Well it’s masking the sound, when you charge your charged bite, it makes this loud sound, BUT if you charge it when another Dino does a loud call, then they can’t hear it and you can surprise them

I think this build's only problem is when you are 1v1 ing another sarco anything cuz the crushing bites cooldown is so ricilously long that your open for anything. Btw which server do you play? I've seen this map and always wanted to try it on a good server. (new era)

That's why you dodge and reposition. Sarco vs sarco is mostly a fight of charged bites, so if you have the cd your opponent most likely has it to. It's all about hitting them. Only advice I can give: if you think another sarco is going to attack you, try to attack first and deny his ambush.

from my nearly 200 hours on sarco, I'd say that thanks to Asphyxiating Snap paired with Crushing bite, Sarco has definitely gone from the weakest semi-aquatic Dino and a relatively easy kill for anything, to the best Aquatic/Semi-Aquatic killer while it still isn't great on land, killing apexes is possible(I know a few very butt-hurt gigas who'll confirm that. but tryna 1v1 anything bigger than a cerato on land is a death sentence, unless they're braindead or are sleeping...)

@@leorudis9876in the water, if the spino player isnt that good, the sarc can easily win as long as youre strategic, be careful because some spino players will charge straight at you and if you dont move then you can get killed. in the water, the sarc can easily kill any other semi aquatic. if a rex is in the water and isnt close to land, you can easily kill it but whatever you do, do not try to go for the head unless youre positive they dont have face tank. when going for headshots, be next to the rex and have their head in your mouth. dont go directly infront of the rex or it can bite you. on land tho, a rex or spino could easily kill a sarc
