Okatsune 103 and Okatsune 104 Secateurs are perfect for pruning fruit trees and other plants like tomatoes and peppers at home.
I have used the 104 for 1 year, and have fallen in love with them, so I wanted to get a back up pair and got the Okatsune 103. They are a bit smaller but still cut just as good. I'm planning on removing a couple fruit trees, and thought it'd be a perfect opportunity to showcase the amazing ability of these high quality pruners.

Hands down the best pruners you can own...in my opinion...I've used Corona, Felco, and ARS...they are all excellent tools, but the Okatsune are in a league of their own...I've owned one pair for over 20 years and they have literally made millions of cuts (I used to prune 20 thousand peach trees a year) and they have never been sharpened. They are comfortable in the hand, and the cutting action is so solid and satisfying...I can't recommend them enough

Kevinlane7555 thank you for your amazing comment! Love hearing these types of stories from people where the tool is unmatched. 20 years is a lifetime, it makes me feel like my purchase was seriously great haha! I have a second pair that I haven't sharpened either. I might make a video on that in the future as I've found the sharpening video from the manufacturer to be quite hard to follow through. Kevinlane7555 thank you for watching!

I have had the 103 pair for a few months now. These are great secateurs. Well made and very sharp. Amazing steel. One thing I have noticed is my hand creeps forward and I need to be wary of nipping the inside of my thumb and finger in the pivot joint but that's just my grip. These are well priced too. Like all quality tools, having made the investment, look after them. I clean them well after every use and keep them well oiled. Love Japanese made tools. Simple and effective. I have a pair of Tobisho SR1s on their way from Japan now. Should be here in a few days.

I guarantee you're going to love them! Just make sure to oil them frequently as carbon steel is prone to getting dirty. Thank you for watching and commenting :)! Happy Gardening.
