Use their OBD to USB C, cost $30-$40; it’s much better than any power bank or external power source. Doesn’t drain the cars battery beyond 11.6 volts, usually drops to 12 volts than shuts dash cam off, which only happens to car batteries that are not fully charged and the driver hardly used their car for driving leading to a partial car battery charge instead of fully charged car battery, which takes 25-40 minutes of continuous driving for a full car battery charge, a commute to work for most people will fully charge the car battery.
@@cherrylicious2 no it won’t remain on when car is off. Only cameras with parking mode stay on when the car is off. I suggest one with “radar” uses a lot less power than “motion detection” many good brands if you want recommendations.
I have had the camera for a few months and find it works very well. bit of struggle for myself figuring out the menu as I only wanted the front camera on. Kinda wish they offered a less expensive version with only front cam and same quality. anyway very nice camera, does get very warm while recording so hopefully won't burn out to soon. I find I get a get a almost 3 days of recording of 12+ hours a day with only the front camera on the highest setting. I have this in my semi truck so have not found a use for the rear camera. Next job is to hard wire it in and clean up the cab if possible.
Just a little criticism i have is when you play the dashcam footage back, it would be better to hear the cameras audio recording capabilities over any music.
Good luck. Mic positions on various cameras and speaker positions in various vehicles would make that impossible to perfect. I guess you could get a VIOFO A139 pro with an external mic hooked up but you're rolling the dice with longevity on that camera system. I have had three systems in three different vehicles in the last year and I dumped them for N4 Pro systems.
Love this camera, but one issue I have is that despite having the hardwire kit installed, it does not always start up when the car is started. I've used their devices on multiple cars and several models now and they are all the same. Is this a fault in them? Is it due to heat?
Have you had any issues with overheating? I live in Nevada, where it gets extremely hot because it's a desert. Do you think I might run into any problems? Thanks!
Did the SD card come with the camera, it wasnt part of the unboxing you did... I was wondering since the camera is so expensive if they give you one with it ?
It's just the reflection from the interior plastic and the defrosting lines on the glass. The view is a wide angle view so it can capture a lot of information and when viewed on a normal screen it squashes in the sides which curves the footage.
I understand why you’re reviewing all these products (to pay for your new bike) but when are you gonna get back to making entertaining videos. They were an absolute blast. 😂
😁 I fly back out on the 6th of Feb to film the next part of the world adventure 😉. I will make some vlogging entertaining in the meantime 🎥 good old 11/10 style. Just got to find the time 🍻😂👍
