Took your advice got the Twig and the 3 bladed Leaf for head shaves. These products are just great. The 3 bladed leaf is fantastic for head shaves. never had a smoother head shave.

Fellow three blade Leaf shaver here. Head shaves are super smooth. Still working on finding the best blade but the razor is definitely the Leaf.

@@primetimeedgetwitch3274 nacets work the best for me out of the box. Very smooth with the 3 blade. Down side really only good for 1 shave. I also like comfort coats. I think the comfort coats are sharper less smooth on the first shave. The comfort coats last 3 plus shaves for me. They get as smooth as the nacets after the first shave. Those are my choices. Prefer nacets for my head. I Just have more experience with them.

Thanks for the demonstration of this razor! I considered getting this razor some time ago for the mildness but the proprietary blade stopped me. Now that I've seen how you had to shave with it and the pressure needed I'm really glad I didn't try it. Honest review!!

I think if they would loosen up the tension on that flexible pivoting razor head. It would help this razor out tremendously. Maybe there is a breaking.Period 👍

Honestly the pivot is designed to work in the background. This amount of pressure isn’t necessary for more than demonstration purposes.

When I saw the oneblade the first question I asked myself...Why ? What is the point of having a razor with proprietary blades? No thanks. Great video ! If you want a razor thats an easy transition from a cart get yourself a Henson or Leaf Twig. Yes, both of these razors are great for head shaves. Both of them perform better for me on head shave than the multi blade Leaf. The entire point of DE shaving is that you have superior blades that can cut with a single blade. I don't need three of them scraping my face, and three blades doesn't make the shave closer.

Nice Review, thanks. I think, you must check the Merkur Progress. It's a little and adjustable Razor. He is like the 34c but adjustable. Very mild and smooth and a nice choice against the rockwell 6c. Greetings 🙋‍♂️.

Hey bro I try the core razor It couldn’t handle my beard it didn’t even knock it down at all. Now the Parker solo edge go through it with no issues or anything at all

The oneblade hybrid was the first razor I got when I started this rabbit hole. I really wish that they had an actual video (not a graphic) on using the razor. They do want the upper handle to hit your skin first and not use it as a de razor. I even talked to the expert about it. After watching RU-vid videos of other channels and how to use it I couldn't get the hang of it. I still have it but never use it. The Henson was next and it is fairly an auto pilot razor. Since I have to shave daily for work, I would prefer mild razors so I can shave in the morning and get on with my morning. I have some razors with bite but those are only for when I have the time to spend shaving.

Thanks for sharing. OneBlade told me the same thing. On my neck I can’t push that hard or it just digs. Henson just mailed a razor to me Friday. Video will be up this week.

@@OhioShaves they send you a medium or a mild? + Mild ++ medium +++aggressive. They are not very aggressive and Henson are ones that are in my daily rotation

@@OhioShaves I use nacet or astra platinum. The astra blades originally came with the razors before they went to rk blades. I never liked the rk blades. I originally bought the medium and then when I had the chance to get the aggressive I bought it. I prefer the aggressive one. Both give me close effortless smooth shaves but the shave doesn't last as long with the medium one vs the aggressive one. To compare them I would think the medium is like the twig and the aggressive is more like the thorn. You can bump up the aggression in either by putting in a feather. Ymmv

I’m still disappointed in the performance of my OneBlade Hybrid. The flaw in the design is the reference surface, and I’m surprised how many shavers I talk to that can’t find the right angle with this. I cut myself if I apply too much pressure and when I think the angle is right sometimes it won’t cut all the hair even after multiple passes.

Informative review. You did the best you could with the OneBlade. I got away from cartridge razors because I wanted to get away from proprietary blades. I find it hard to believe the OneBlade is milder than my Henson (mild) DE razor. What's your take? BTW, have you tested a Gillette Nacet against a Feather? I find the Nacet gives smoother shaves than the Feather on its 2nd and 3rd shaves. I've actually gotten 6+ shaves using a Nacet with no degradation in performance. And I agree that you can't go wrong with Nivea Sensitive balm. If I could only have one balm, that's what I would choose.

Henson just shipped one out for me. I like Nacet over feather but never get that many shaves on one. Nacet blades not work for me in the Merkur 34c and I’m not sure why. Best combo in the Rockwell 6c using a 6plate

@@OhioShaves I'll be interested to know what you think about the Henson. I use mine whenever I have a blemish or skin irritation. The 34C is a decent razor. But I have to focus more on getting the best cutting angle. I can shave with my Rockwell 6S with my eyes closed. I always tell newbies to get the Rockwell 6C or 6S. If they don't go down the rabbit hole, that's the only DE razor they'll ever need.

They have higher-end models that are slightly more aggressive, and weighted better. The white-and-black design looks amazing on the Core, but the proprietary blades are a common dealbreaker. It’s a shame since there’s potential in the design. Shaving performance disappointingly seems to be better on the Supply SE and Leaf Twig, which my Twig doesn’t seem to lock super tightly.

I have that razor i get 2 good shaves third shave is not very good. blades are expensive at 1.00 each. Well designed razor but they chose the wrong blade. If they redesigned it to use a double edge blade or a Feather artist club blade. mini injector blade.. it would have been a very popular razor in my humble opinion.

Lots of Neosporin. It healed in about six days, but I did have a scab. My worst cut so far from shaving.

@@OhioShaves Huh, I’ve gotten a few cuts from my Leaf Twig that were worse which also healed quickly. Injector blade cuts are the worst to heal, as DE blades cut cleanly enough to typically not cause scarring.

Did you change the title of the video? OneBlade Hybrid is my most enjoyable to use out of 10+ razors. After using it for 4+ years I can say you’re not supposed to rely so heavily on the pivot, but I don’t blame you as even OneBlade seems to be getting away from the intended design of the razor. Hold the reference surface, the top and bottom bars on the head, flat against the face and use no pressure on the blade. The pivot is supposed to work in the background to navigate around contours, which is useful for multi-pass shaving. If you use the razor as originally intended rather than trying to rely on activating the pivot constantly then you’ll get much better shaves out of the OneBlade that could probably rival any safety razor, especially on the first shave with a new FHS blade.

@@OhioShaves Seriously, you should try using more of a safety razor approach if you shave with this razor again since you should have a much better experience. The design isn’t supposed to activate the pivot so strongly to shave, it’s only meant to maintain an angle around contours.

I never tried it because of the prepiatory blades plus sucky blade life. I like a choice. The Twig I kinda like but I think they missed the boat by not making it pivoting like the Leaf. Love the Leaf for head shaves. I have 3! I should get my High Proof Razor soon. The High Proof is the Twig Leaf should have made pivoting. We will soon see. I think Leaf missed out on this.

OneBlade missed the mark with predatory blades for a lot of us in the wet shaving community. High point could be a game changer but for now Leaf twig is the smoothest razor I have ever used

This is way too much defensive razor... Requires a significantly long learning curve.. Difficult to navigate through undulating skin surfaces. It has little to none grip on the hairs... You would need multiple passes. This is correct review. I returned it after struggling with it for 27 days.
