@@jasonadams9602 Unfortunately the Pokemon that will appear at a mass outbreak are set when the mass outbreak spawns, so even if you soft reset from Jubilife you'll find the same Pokemon at the mass outbreak every time (checked on the 1.1 update, a shellos outbreak produced a level 42 female alpha every time I reset from Jubilife). It's such a shame.
Can we just appreciate the fact this dudes been working hard nonstop ever since release to provide quality guides for us on everything thinkable? Keep up the amazing work Austin!
He's just milking it. Nothing wrong but . Hard work is somthing different. This is a good video but there are also clickbait videos without worth in it.
@@sterrenstofEnNatsu I understand your thought, but he's literally uploaded 13 different videos on this game within the last 4 days, and every single one of them is high quality, useful and spoiler free, this man is amazing
@@AustinJohnPlays it’s so appreciated though. I’ve waited for this type of game since before they even announced it, and I’m staying away from anyone and everyone who could possibly spoil it for me.
Thank you for actually going through the entire process of closing and re-opening the game each time just to show us that the method works. Definitely appreciate the dedication.
It makes it more relatable honestly. Like you can see him being a little annoyed with having it done so many times( a good thing I think because we ALL feel that way after countless resets)
@@SuperKamiGuru5 it just makes finding one all that more stasifying. For the most part if I have a complete entry I can get it in 2 tries. I will say I find it even more satisfying if you just come across a shiny during your travels when you're not trying to get one tho
For Zorua I recommend flying to the hill above them, sit with the friendly Aipom and snipe them 😅 absolute speed run if they don't jump out of the fast balls.
I didn't really want to use BIRB for this method to show the variety of methods early players could use. but I personally ledge snipe when I do this lol
There has been some more research done to optimize your hunt, this video at the 16min mark: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xabgWQUxlFg.html it removes some things that aren't needed and makes it more streamlined.
Thanks for the breakdown, man. Used it today on a happiny breakout and got really lucky, walked away with a shiny, an alpha and a shiny alpha chansey that was nearbye in the spawn area. Keep up the good work with your channel.
This is probably the best shiny hunting game we've ever had. Hope the Home connectivity lets us bring some of the new ones to SWSH, I really wish this game had some sort of battle spot
Agreed! I've already got a few shinies and I haven't even been hunting them. Meanwhile it took over 200 eggs for me to get my first shiny SwSh, despite doing the whole Masuda method and having the shiny charm. I didn't even have a completed Pokedex page for the first shiny I caught.
So glad everyone in the comments is giving him the appreciation he deserves for making these guides. Already have 5 shinies in arceus and that wouldn't be possible without austin. Thanks so much!!
After resetting about 45 times and NOT saving after the return trip to Jubilife, you're the first video out of 10 that actually says that (and INSIST on it). Thanks a lot!!
I literally got a shiny sligoo after 6 minutes, i remember my first shiny ever taking 3-4 hours and now this, this is crazy. Thank you so much for this guide
My only successful hunts have been in let’s go, my shinies in legends arceus were the guaranteed shiny rapidash, or ponyta if you don’t intend to keep it, and Rhyperior.
3:40 you do not need to catch the "catch" task! I just discovered trading the same Pokemon back and forth adds a new "catch" dex update! You just need a patient friend to trade with. I think this is an incredible exploit for perfect dex entry on rare spawns especially!
W for bro to show the struggle also of resetting until it works because it's realistic and proves it will take a lot of time, but it does work cheers mate
Dude no cap, your guides are insanely appreciated because you constantly show us helpful guides while keeping things completely spoiler-free. As a longtime Pokemon fan who takes his time playing the games, I'm still in the Obsidian Fieldlands having fun catching Bidoof and Starly. I hope you realize just how much of a godsend your videos are. Keep up the great work, Austin!
Today I was running a time rift, and a shiny steelix popped in. I threw a Pokémon out to fight it to keep it there, but drew in all three of the random spawns. I cursed a bit, but decided to just try and catch it quick. Threw a gigantón ball at it, caught it first try. I nearly cried for joy.
Finished the game yesterday and now I’m trying shiny hunting using this method. Within 10 minutes got myself my first outbreak shiny. Thanks, Austin. The way you explain things in your videos is amazing and second to none.
I just had an insane experience doing this. I was hunting a shiny bunny, and finally one spawned in with the initial four outbreak Pokémon. Then, ANOTHER shiny spawned during the outbreak as I caught the rest. So I have two now.
As someone who has caught very few legit shinies in 20 years of playing Pokémon, the mass outbreak shiny method is the single greatest thing to happen in a Pokémon game (my opinion obviously). In one day I have caught shiny scyther, magmar, chancey, and chimchar
I concur. Even LG was not that great where we had to catch 30+ of a specific Pokemon and wait hours. This mass outbreak is nice where it is random, limited, and the challenge of gettting out to the specific area. Kind of reminds me of the anime. I wonder if Nintendo will release an update where we can hunt exactly what we want when we want to instead of waiting for the outbreak.
I was doing mass outbreaks cleared it decided to look around for materials for a quest then I heard the shiny spawn sound I down at the geodudes and my eyes were amazed my 2nd legit shiny my 1st legit shiny was from a wormhole in ultra moon
@@PhoenixRipsPacks I had one like that. Went to a Bidoof outbreak and heard a shiny sound. Was confused that none of the Bidoof were shiny, turned around and a Starly nearby was lol
Actually, Gen 2 if you have a shiny ditto as breeding material (which can be got through the trade red gyarados to gen 1 and have ditto transform method) you have 1 out of 50 chance for every egg hatched to be a shiny. It has never been that good since, but if you want any gen 1 or gen 2 pokemon to be shiny, that is your fastest method.
Good guide. I've personally had NO luck at all using this method, but I've at least determined it *is* generating new targets from the table on every trip, as I try to capture all of them on every trip. This is on perfect dex'ed Ralts but no shiny charm, rank 8. So far the only thing I've seen is a single alpha. On to hour three...
Stay consistent. It really does work and I don't have shiny charm either and it was still effective. It can be time consuming but you can definitely do it
Really appreciating the extra effort that goes into the helpful videos without including the spoilers! I’m an ‘avoid main storyline’s at all costs’ kinda player so haven’t progressed very far and happy to be able to support the videos without ruining the experience of the reveals!
I'm honestly glad it took you two hours to finally find the Zorua. I've been hunting for a while now and I was sure I was still doing something wrong, because other videos I watched found them so fast! Glad to see it sometimes can take longer :)
You could do this method perfectly for days and there is a chance, slim, but there is a chance that you'll also never find one. Ever. And then there will be others who will find them in ten minutes. I remember a method with friend zones in, I think, X/Y where I spent days hunting for a Larvesta. Others were reporting finding their prefered shiny in hours. I havn't tried this method yet but when I do get to the point I can, I'm setting aside a few hours to try it out myself.
Loving the content your bringing out, I already knew how to do this method but watched it during a mass hunt for shiny growlithe... and boom it finally spawned after 4hrs. Thank you good sir
Thanks to the Outbreak method, I got 2 shinies in an hour - then a couple hours later got a complete full odd shiny. That makes 3 in this game, 3 today within one afternoon. This game is awesome
I like this video because Austin shows the reality of shiny hunting and that’s what a lot of other RU-vidrs don’t really show they just cut to the shiny this was excellent
With the Jet Balls, I found out when you throw them out, they start out above the dot in the center of the reticule. Since I found that out about the Jet Ball line, I started just aiming down more and they work flawlessly for me regardless of location/situation. They're weird compared to normal balls, but they always go high out of your hand and slowly arc downwards. Try aiming at the top of the circle of the reticule in line with the pokemon if you're relatively close and it should work well. Sometimes I have to line the pokemon up half-way in between the dot and the top circle to get the trajectory right, but you get used to it and learn it over time.
I just wanna say that Zorua/Zoroark have been my favorite line since Gen 5 and all I can say is that their hisuian variants only solidify them further as my favorite. Thank you for reading.
U know, honestly the other day there was a Kricketune outbreak for me and I thought “sure I’ll do that”. **THREE shinies appeared in that one outbreak. And I didn’t even have its dex level at 10 yet**
I just want to say this for anyone looking in the comments hoping to see that people are satisfied with his help and I can say for sure I am very happy I’ve gotten my first shiny I’ve ever had when I heard the sound it makes when the shining appears I was filled with joy thank you so much Austin John for helping me God bless you all
I just wanna say thank you for this man. I been playing PLA for a lil whole now. And this the first shiny hunt that I've actually tried. And I was a bit doubtful at first but I stuck with it and it paid off got my first shiny and couldn't be happier lol 🔥
Just caught a shiny Teddiursa 5 minutes ago! Got a vulpix this morning, gastly on Sunday, and a hippopotas on Friday, the shinies in this game are unreal
I gotta say the content you’ve made for legends arceus has been incredible man, thanks for the great guide def looking forward to my next shiny hunting adventure now
I’ve been doing a few of these and from mid experience just saving at camp is fine, you don’t need to touch the outbreak before saving. Loving this game and it’s easy shinies I’m probably gonna see how much of the dex I can fill with em
I rewatched this video to make sure I had the process correct for a Pachirisu outbreak, my second outbreak of the game, and as I was approaching the location I heard the shiny noise. There was a shiny and an Alpha right there at the start. I credit my luck to you and the awesome videos you keep posting!
Y'all I have 3 things to say 1. Thanks again Austin! 2. I found my first shiny on... Saturday? And it was literally the first one I ever caught 3. I've also had spawn issues I found a Psyduck in a tree and also the Pokémon can run up trees somehow
This is a very helpful guide! I caught a Shiny Piplup, Shinx, Sliggoo, and Stantler in around 2-3 hours using this guide! I've found also, that the space-time rifts seem to have heightened chances as I got a Shiny Floatzel and Drifblim back to back (One from one rift, the other from the next sequential rift) from them.
Ohhhh, I need to go back to town once after each tryyyy. Thank you!!! I’ve been feeling like I’m stuck in Groundhog Day, with the exact Alpha coming in at the same time each try, it’s been hours!
Ironically I was just learning about outbreaks having increased shiny odds while going to a Tangrowth outbreak to complete the pokédex page, and right as I arrived to the outbreak the fourth Tangrowth was shiny
Finally! After 50+ hours in the game. I managed to catch one of my first shiny, shiny Geodude by deertrack heights. Thanks a lot for your tips and help Austin. Keep up the great work! It’s very helpful.
Just spent 3 days trying to get an outbreak. For those of you having trouble. You must have the first 10 requests done in jubilife. Went 40 hours no outbreak. Finished the 8th request and now I get one damn near every time.
This video was so helpful! I got bored of the storyline and decided to shiny hunt using this method and lo-and-behold, my first ever shiny in this game was a beautiful Luxray! Awesome stuff!!
With this method so far, I failed a shiny machoke by accidentally defeating him, CAPTURED a shiny Chimchar, Roselia & Magmar so this 100% works and my luck sucks so😂 Thank you John♥️
Let me just say that while I was shiny hunting a mass-outbreak Buneary, I encountered not one but TWO shiny Bibarels. It was painful, one of them was an alpha, too.
@@thugpug4life496 yeah but as long as you didn’t go in the outbreak you can stop and get the bibarels(which even 2 full odds at the same time is insane might I add) and save normally back by the professor and continue the Buneary chain
@@TJ-qm7lj I got rank 10 on its page, and then just happened to find a horde of Goomys. Then I just followed what Austin said in the video. Took me about 2 hours on and off to get mine.
@@Enjoysaeli ok- guess I’ll just have to hope it shows up! I’ve almost got the page perfect and then I’ll just exit and enter areas until a Goomy outbreak appears.
I just tried this method and didnt read the comments first. Had a Mime Jr mass outbreak following your guide and after 3 resets the shiny appeared. So I saved the game before going in to catch it. But a freaking bird came in the way initiating battle and scaring the Mime Jr away. I closed my game, started back up and as I wake up in the grass where the Mime Jr’s was at it says «outbreak ended....». I totally paniced and tried closing my game and starting it back up again a thousand times, but the outbreak was over with. For future videos im reading the comments before going out hunting 😂 Lol. But thank you for great content, Austin! I didnt originally plan on buying this game, but your videos made me do it and IM CRAZY ABOUT IT! In my opinion the best pokémon game they ever made
Got my first shiny when you get the ability to swim, go into the water and immediately see the shiny stars and got a shiny marine, this game is going to offer so much for people that love grinding and completionists
I don’t understand the part where you’re able to reset and constantly keep getting the outbreak for zorua, i followed it step by step and I can’t seem to get it back to back, let alone the tens or so minutes I spend just trying to get the same outbreak again
It looks like after newest update this relocating method is no longer effective. After returning to village the outbreaks change. I’ve been trying this method before patch and there was maximum of one time where you got other species appearing instead of the one you’ve been doing. Even then simply closing game would revert original hunted species. Now it’s different species every time.
Thanks for the in-depth and very well explained guide!!! It works so well and you put a lot of dedication into showing it from A-Z ! Already got myself a shiny spheal and shinx in under an hour
Hey dude you seem a little tired or maybe that’s just me but never forget to take a break and get some well deserved rest! Thanks for all the informative videos and hard work man!
While doing a Gibble outbreak one of the FIRST five was shiny, I had no shiny charm, and at the time, didn't beat the game. So pure chance, I will say, I still love her, and keep her in my shiny box. First true caught shiny and of one of my favs :D
If RU-vid had content creator awards for best gaming content, Austin John would win every year. The work he puts into the game, the way he takes the time to explain things, he’s just hands down the best.
I just shiny hunted teddyursa and after I reset around 10 times I got a small shiny one spawn right next to an alpha. I caught both but I was a little sad that the alpha wasn’t the shiny one.
You really make things so easy to play Austin, we really appreciate the time and dedication you put into your videos, so Shiny Alpha Dex next yes lol keep up man you truly are a goat.
Mass outbreaks is the easiest shiny hunting method in a long, long time. The only comparable method is pretty much Ultra Wormholes, and even that has lower odds and is very limited in comparison. Long story short- this is a great time to be a method hunter.
Personally the first outbreak I saw was right when I got basculegion, and I was between 20-25 hours in, focusing equally on story and Pokémon. Now I’m about halfway through the Highlands and there’s usually 2 outbreaks constantly
Austin just want to say that you’re the best poke-tuber out there and that your dedication on these videos shows. You deserve millions of subs, keep up the amazing work!
I just want to thank Austin for creating massive, informative and great contents. Just subscribed as a way of thanks. Also, time stamps in your videos helped a lot.
I can 100% confirm that the shiny hunting method in this video works, and works effectively! After continuously switching the outbreaks to get a Zorua outbreak, I used Austin’s method and got a shiny Zorua in about an hour! Thank you so much!!
Before I fully watched a shiny hunting video, I was just under the impression that you could camp the same outbreak reloading the save. I chose gyarados as my first outbreak, saved on top of a small hill, went down into the water and fought one gyarados, beating it over and over so a new one would spawn, then resetting to try again when they stopped respawning. I had a shiny gyarados appear on the 7th time I reloaded. I have been told by many people on a discord server that what happened was not possible because outbreaks are locked when you enter the area. So I am very confused, cause I got my shiny gyarados without returning to Jubilife each reload.
just wanna say don't get discouraged if you've been trying for hours! I did not have this luck with zorua, lol. It took many, many resets and I am 100% sure it was the correct method too. (And I got many lil foxxies that spawned in that rock, it's a relief to see that it's not only a glitch on my end lol). But keep working at it! It took me over 50 resets and 10 hours, but I finally, FINALLY got a shiny zorua after working really hard for it! So don't give up, this works 100% :)
I can finally join the club because I got my first outbreak shiny today! A shiny Ambipom secures its place as my first shiny in this game! (Besides the guaranteed shiny Ponyta)
Why is this not working for me. I can't log in the outbreak and make it stay there! I have seen the video followed the steps over and over again. Where did i go wrong??
Am I the idiot? I have tried this method for almost 45 mins and the outbreak is NEVER the same. No matter how much I try I get different outbreak. Am I the only one this happens to?? I have watched the video so many times. I have taken notes and jotted the information as he talked about it. What am I doing wrong??😭😭😭
