Yeah I visited this shop many years ago and yeah, it blew my mind too. You have to come back time and time again because you always find something new.
@@adventurecollect Yeah I live in Salford and am close to the Bury border. I've seen a shop just next to the Rock in Bury. It's like a very old shop with thousands upon thousands of items. One if those shops from a time gone by.
I love shops like this where you can dig through and find random stuff, it's just a shame so much time was spent looking at star wars stuff and not really searching for more oddities
@@adventurecollect I don't have Myface, Spacebook or anything along those lines. I don't have the space for the puppet so i don't want to waste the guys time inquiring about something i won't purchase. Thanks though! 👍
That shop is way better than Forbidden Planet is it's hidden gem to Blackpool the place I always visit when down there, if he doesn't have something he'll get it in it's worth spending time in there and cash.
I've been a star wars collector ( and batman ,action man and corgi vehicles ) Since 1988 aged 13 , I was buying up all the palitoy figures that were peg warming , return of the jedi figures and vehicles became so cheap a year or two after the film played in cinemas , I remember buying Luke Skywalker in stormtrooper disguise for 59 pence at a Martin's newsagents. The last half decent shop like this in Stoke on Trent was a tiny little place called collectors corner in longton , the prices were all over the place and you had to get to know the old guy who owned it and the younger guy who worked there , once i did I got access to the back room where all the amazing stuff was hiding , that place closed down about 13 years ago , there's been no other decent collector shop in Stoke on Trent since .
What an amazing story when I was growing up the re master versions of Star Wars hit the cinema and I was hooked from the first scene! spiraled into a collection addiction when I was a kid but I couldn't always have the opportunity to get stuff, this is why I have re discover my love of collecting and shops like this keeps the Kid in everyone alive forever, and there needs to be more of them! Thanks for watching the video!
@@adventurecollect it can be a bit difficult getting around in there for me as I'm a wheelchair user but they always help me out, the other 'problem' is there's so much stuff! I never know where to start when I get in there.
@@markorollo. I can imagine it being very hard but the staff are so friendly and I am sure they would go above and beyond for you, but where to start is always a question I ask my self it's crazy!
Oh man ive been there. Love that place. Only problem when I went my missus was in the wool shop across from it and I had no idea it was there. So I was pot less when I went in and it was an instant love of the place. And to this day I still havent been back 😔 im so glad its still there after covid. I will be going back 💪
Ive been there. Its so god damn awesome in there. So many figures and I went in when I had no money on me. I will be going back at some point. Really glad its still there especially after the initial covid outbreak.
I stumbled upon this shop quite by accident when I was visiting Blackpool back in July. I spent a good hour in there just rooting through boxes and over shelves. It really does have several things for everyone. An absolute treasure trove. I wish I had more money on me at the time, I am looking forward to visiting Blackpool again just to see this place.
Teenager mutant ninja turtles was called hero turtles because it was shown on the BBC and they didn't like the word ninja big 💚 I've just found your channel have a like and a sub 💚🇬🇧
Definitely on my list next time I'm that end. There's also a very long standing collectables store elsewhere on the promenade but I don't think it's got quite the same vibe as this one. I use the Leicester Vintage Store Toy Shop on Tour videos as a reference and I'm pretty sure they dropped in here...
Really glad RU-vid recommended your channel to me mate, I’m flying home to Sheffield for the first time in 5 years (I’m in the States) and I was looking for shops around Yorkshire, definitely going to be giving this place a visit after seeing this!
I am so happy that you are coming from the glory of the states because the shops out there are wild I would say this store in Blackpool is as close as you will get to that so enjoy!
28:07 ok I want that plushie now haha 😂 This store looks incredible I wish there was more stores like this especially up here in Scotland lol awesome video my dude
Most of the episode 1 stuff has seen no price increase since 1999 that Qui Gon was 30 notes in Safeway when I was a kid for it to of been stored for that long with a 12 quid decrease is crazy. I'd take OG release over Funko any day.
I get this comment a lot and I say the same thing they were packing up for Comicon when we visited so I can not speak for how it is now but if they need someone to do it I would do it for free just to see everything, thanks for watching!
I'm going here tomorrow hopefully. Do you happen to know if its open. I remember ken owning this and chats with him years ago. Always treated me nicely despite me being a nerdy kid and too excited for my own good.
I know a bloke who went in there and has not been seen since, the rumour is that little cubby hole in the far corner can transport you to another dimension, nobody is too bothered though,he was a flop anyway.
Love a good rummage, but in all honesty there's no excuse for the amount of crap laying everywhere... some effort to have things in some kind of order would be a good thing, I just want to get in there and put stuff in order...
Yeah I agree but also this was shot in August and they was packing up for COMICON I will be going back soon to revisit this awesome place, Thanks for watching!
