He’s a lovely bloke - he gave me a free £1 burger to give to a homeless chap who was passing by at the time because he didn’t want to seem condescending. We need more people like him. 😊
Chris is a real character around Blackpool and he does his bit for charity as well. He’s what you see on screen, just a nice guy offering a good deal for families and anyone else who finds themselves hungry and down a dodgy back alley. There’s plenty of other businesses in that area trying to rip off the tourists but Chris is genuinely trying to ensure you get a good deal and tasty food. I’m glad this review was so positive and Chris character is being shown in his true colours. 👍
The editing is absolutely top notch. The constant cuts to the "It's a pound" and then the icing on the cake was the echoey creepy "It's a pound" before he took a bite 9:38 had me rolling 😂
@@johnwelch5132 No burger from a takeaway is healthy... doesn't take a genius to work that out, you get what you pay for here which is the bare minimum.
the owner of the shop is a lovely bloke, he also understands the needs of the people around him. it's a brilliant idea and you can't do something wrong for only £1. well done!
I think it helps that he has the arcade like he can probably make a loss on that burger or break even and be fine as the arcade can produce revenue aswell
I used to live down the bottom of Dale Street which is in the same road and Chris used to feed lots of school kids for a £1 because unfortunately some of their parents were piss heads and just didn't have the money to feed the kids.
Chris is a valued asset to the community, it's a miracle nowadays to get a burger for a quid. My local burger van charges £3. Blackpool might not be the poshest of places but the people are salt of the earth.
@@9itten The inner city of blackpool is such a rough place but the touristy sea side is well worth it in my opinion. A lot to do for one visit; you've got the tower, madame tussauds, the dungeon, water park, nice beach, sea life, the pier, nice hotels, great night clubs, cool lights at night, can go down to St Annes too right next to Blackpool where it's quite nice and so forth.

@@9itten No problem but do keep in mind that when I say the inner city of Blackpool is rough, I mean ROUGH. Personally I would just avoid the inner city and if possible stay in St Anne's and take the tram in to Blackpool or just stay in a quality hotel next to the sea (basically stick to the promenade). There really is a lot to do initially and it can be very pleasant, especially when you spend the day at the beach/sights and the nights clubbing or chilling on the piers listening to music & looking at the lights. Good value for money imo. Brits tend to speak pessimistically about Blackpool, (as we usually do about everything) but I reckon they had a blast the first few times they went and now the place has just lost the magic or they're thinking too hard about the city.
For all those who may turn their nose up at this, what a star this man is ! 17yrs and still giving locals and tourists the best value not just in town, but possibly the UK ! good on him ..... by the way, its a £1.00 😅
Anykne with a brain would eat there ANYTIME they are craving fast food and are in a position where they don't make a lot of money so saving any amount you can is crucial. Wish we still had $1 burgers at Mcdonalds in America.
We need to keep businesses and characters like him going cos when they have gone thats. He is the type of chap you come to talk to if your having a bad day and he will cheer you up straight away. People like him are rare

Good honest holiday food served in a responsible way, this is awesome I love this and I love the fact that people can go on a cheeky day out without breaking the budget. I went to buy some burgers and hot dogs from Chris. He was a nice guy. his food tasted quite good. Unbelievable how it can be just a pound for that. Agreed, we need to keep ppl like him in business.

Whenever I see this guy on various RU-vid channels he puts a smile on my face. What a brilliant character he is. And as Danny says - with plain eating kids in tow at the seaside a quid is spot on.

@@LilNickyRush1probably from cost of supplies alone yeah, from the grill being on and the lights etc no way. Without the arcade he’s absolutely losing money. Again it’s just to get people to his arcade which can’t be knocked. If I was to go to an arcade in that area I’d go to the place where I can eat a burger with change found in my car door
I wish we still had this in the Netherlands. It is forbidden by ESG to sell cheap meat over here. All animals need to be treated like wagyu cows. It won't be long until only the rich are allowed to eat meat prices doubled a couple of times already.
@@xredden07 that is long gone. even mcdonalds got blasted for selling 1 euro burgers and stop doing it. You might find a chinese snackbar selling one for 1.50 here and there but I honestly do not think it is meat :D

A McDonald's cheeseburger by itself in my part of Australia is $AUD 4.45 so a £1 ($AUD 1.82) burger is insanely cheap. What a cheerful guy Chris is too
Cheeseburgers are for sure a rip off. Better to buy a pack of mince at coles or a butcher and make them yourself. Better tasting too. Aussie also, hence mention of "coles"

Chris from £1 Burger (and Danny from RMT of course + 'Cameraman') needs to go in the UK Official Hall of Fame up there with our top A list celebs! Such amazing enthusiasm and people you could honestly want to spend hours talking to every day!!
They may be very basic but are very god value for money. I have seen vendors charge £5/6 for that type of food, particularly at the seaside. It shows that it is a good outlet and the fact that he has queues round the corner waiting for him to open show everyone agrees. He could easily charge £4/5 a burger and peak season.
I took my kids to Blackpool this weekend to see the fireworks, I remembered seeing this video when you first posted it, so I decided to take the kids for a burger and meet Chris. It was a great burger they destroyed them and asked for another. Great little place and great owner. Thanks for the video or I would have never known about this place.
We were in Blackpool in April and called to see Chris, I had two burgers and was stuffed. They are really nice and flavoursome and are far better than anything you would get at the golden arches establishments.

It's the job of local government. Blackpool has always been a shithole, it's only been brought to light more because of affordable overseas holidays in the last 30/40 years.
It's March and freezing cold, the hotels and bnbs are fully booked when in season and you can barely move because of the 1000s of people walking the streets.
I can fully understand why he gets so busy especially for families with the cost of living. Feed your kids for a fiver in BLACKPOOL. Cheap & cheerful. Top guy 👏🏼

Bloody love his burgers, I usually get a double cheeseburger with onions so it's £2.50 but that's a meal In itself I'm full from that and it's bloody beautiful me my Mrs and kids went the other day and I think it was like £6 and we were all fed in Blackpool near the prom you're lucky to feed 4 for less than £20 ...bargain for great quality burger and the bloke is a good guy gave my kids some stuff coz my lad watches his RU-vid videos
Last time I had the burger I thought there were a bunch of pubes getting stuck in my teeth but it turned out it was butt hair because there were bits of stinky toilet paper pieces balled up in the butt hair. I give it a solid 7/10
He makes the money from the arcade machines and draws a crowd with the cheap food. Pretty clever really and I imagine he makes more money than you think.
Exactly everyone else is thinking it’s some 10p made burger out of the worst ingredients but it probably isn’t. It’s probably more than a pound in cost to make but the arcade brings the profit aswell as like the hot chocolates which are usually quite expensive but are cheap to make or tea and coffee like a tea bag isn’t a pound but to get one outside for a pound is still a very good price.
@@Alphoric. He makes money from selling the burgers I can assure you ….. I can guarantee he makes a lot more from selling burgers than what the arcade makes. It’s a 5 pound jackpot arcade not a casino .

Economics, sell cheaper, you most likely sell more. Hence why cheap shops such as BnM, the range pound shop, etc do well. If you ever get chance read the story of how The Range was started. The guy who owned the stores got it right
Of course it's possible to do a £1 burger. Basic and low quality. That burger probably costs 20p for the burger and 10p for the bread. Shift enough of them and you're doing alright.
Hi Danny. Good to see that someone is still providing affordable food for those who can’t afford to pay todays inflated food prices. The only thing missing is a little lettuce and possibly a slice of tomato. Plain simple food that fill up the tummy when your’e hungry. Cheers from the Land of Beers (Down Undee). 😊
