Quick question. Do you set your in camera audio gain to 1 or lowest gain set? Also, seeing the -10/-20/ 0 gain option on mic, does it autocorrect levels in mic?
I adjust in-camera audio so it peaks at -12db. The -10/-20/0 settings on the mic are manual gain settings, so it won’t auto correct levels, it’s just a quick manual adjustment in-mic. Hope this helps!
just about as good as any other on-cam shotgun mic in this price category! It does a goood job isolating noise to what's in front of the mic, but I would be sure to pick up a deadcat wind filter if you're filming outdoor games
In my opinion, the Joby Microphone produces superior sound quality. I am unsure whether it is specific to my headset or not, but I find that the Joby microphone delivers clearer audio compared to the Rode microphone, which tends to sound somewhat muffled and makes it more challenging to discern the words.
