The legendary return to slayer fighter, I will always watch your ranger content and enjoy it, but I know I am not the only who can welcome this change of pace. But ultimately do what you want, keep it up man!
I enjoy the Ranger content. The MS cap being lowered, the item changes removing a lot of MS, the original nerf to sprint (the recent change made it way better), nerfing Francisca damage so they could buff Barbs Axe Specialization and then making Franciscas unstackable and giving an equip time to them basically hit Slayer Fighter with a bunch if indirect nerfs and you can really feel the difference unfortunately.
Started playing this game about 2 weeks ago and my god haven’t been addicted to a game like this in some time! Love your vids bro! Very educational and entertaining! Keep it up!
Dude i joined the game for free at the steam release and ive played nothing but slayer fighter despite everyone and their mother telling me its trash. I just really liked the dual weild and high action spd gameplay. I absolutely loved this video. Nothing wrong with Ranger, i just like to see my class being played and people having fun with it.
A beautiful return to form. Also last words of this video have me excited for you. If you feel youre near that point in your streaming career, thats huge. Big love lorr never stop
Hey Lorr, I absolutely love your videos and the vibes you put out. You have insane aura, full glaze! Your music is fantastic and your videos never miss. A cool thing I just found out today is that Magical Healing actually applies to Healing Potions with a 50% ratio. Healing from potions also counts as a Buff, so Buff Duration and Magical Healing can make potions more potent. That Frost Pendant you got was even better than you thought, an extra 1.5 HP from potions is a pretty cool deal!
Really enjoyed the video, thanks for going step-by-step about certain things. It really helps me learn the game better, whether it's how to fight or what items to use. You're my favorite Dark and Darker creator.
Started playing slayer myself because i found thelorr videos waaay back when, still love your content but you on ranger just felt weird; you are THEE slayer fighter guy. Glad you're back to it please stay
My Bröther, my guy!! I had no idea. The skill ceiling is SO much higher than I thought. I’ve got 80ish hours of straight loot goblin PvE. Never seen this side of the game before. Ya, in
For slayer fighter I've been running a stilleto over Castillion for the 10 percent armor pen. Both daggers have the same move speed penalty so I opt for the free pen.
I tried a lot of Slayer the last few days and pretty much had the same experience. You constantly need to outplay, space and use max Falch Range, if you're caught once (Smite, Faithfulness Cleric for example) you're pretty much dead. But like this it's pretty good to be honest, Slayer also performs pretty good against Rogues, being able to outrange them and there are sooo many Rogues right now :)
the percentages are better anyway, easier to understand, because they're relative to a baseline (100%) so like it's weird to even want that in the first place, let alone expect other people to want that
Ran into a dude using this I’m pretty sure. Man cornered me into a jail cell and was trying to bow me for literally 5 minutes lol ended up getting out and smoking him w 2 hits. He was British. Man was talking trash the whole 5 min only to get destroyed.
If you’re running weapon mastery you may as well run one of the armor pen daggers over cast dagger 👀 Also like Warhammer + Shortsword for armor pen and the sword bonus :) Nice build!! Slayer is a lot of fun, hope they get more hats this year lmao
Bro I love your content no matter what class you play, but this video HYPED ME TF UP. You can ranger rat all you want but deep down you know you are the slayer!
I’ve been doing dex, move speed, true physical slayer builds with a bow and not having much luck. I take arming sword and short sword for turn and burn and it just doesn’t hit, but having the ability to max move speed with weapons out and have the burst of falchion seems like exactly what I’ve been looking for, thanks for the build and the vid :)
Arming ssword is better for stand and bang, just can be tricky to land lots of the strikes as they are mainly overheads and stabs Yea falchion and cast overall best I feel, especially lmb rmb rmb lmb rmb combo. That second swing of the falchion comes flying out of nowhere after the second cast swing and then depending on situation you are in a good spot to land the big boy cast stab. Play your cards right and you will burst literally anyone down with one combo and not even take a hit Don't feel pressured to try land the cast slashes either, often they are just useful to feign miss to bait an enemy swing and is good to set up that falchion out of nowhere
@@Joel-wj9ql i always thought that castillion was mainly a support weapon for stats and fighters focused on landing hits with the falchion, because trying to land hits with cast means u have to get in their face and by doing so u lose the falchion range. Not to mention if u are too close u dont hit them with the tip of the falchion blade anymore and u lose some dmg like that. Ive been trying Armin + short because i love the combo but its a struggle against every longsword user, u have to use angles on every hit and u end up hitting limbs.
Hey thelorr, nice videos While I enjoyed ranger, I think a lot of people rathered slayer - even though both are just use ranger weapons and finish off with weapons For me, it doesn’t matter what you play, I’ll always love your methodical gameplay, keep it up ❤
I've been kind of experimenting with running a shortsword with a flanged mace or war hammer. This lets me have the AP for the tanky boys and the shortsword for anyone else. Sword Mastery also does seem to apply to the mace while you have the shortsword equipped, but I'm not sure. It's the same speed as falchion + dagger but with more versatility with your moveset and the targets you can attack.
I’ve spent the majority of my time playing slayer fighter and MS and DPS are priority… I stack strength and physical damage, and true with action speed… I’m an arming sword gamer because you can hit them twice before they can get a second swing off and I’d say as long as they aren’t PDR stacked 2 head shots with the arming and they’re down. But yeah you’re right if you’re not faster and kiting you die as a slayer
only form of build with that frost amulet with magical healing would be a potion chugger speed horseman axe barb since the magical healing will make a huge difference on the potions of healing
honestly i've always preferred the falchion kite slayer over the dps check arming sword slayer. more skill expression imho and especially now that falchion isnt just an imba giga weapon
Is the survival bow really the bow to go? I thought at least taking a recurve bow. It is not that much slower but the dmg is much higher in comparison.
Hey Lorr have you considered running any builds that stack resourcefulness to throw opponents off with the increased cooldown reductions? Enjoy the vids.
I have been using war hammer/short sword fighter with slayer, dual wield. sword mastery. Then you have a good side to side swing for mobs and a stupid fast short sword for pvp with +7 weapon damage, +20% armor pen and +15% action speed. if you take adren bumps it to +30%.
I use ad rush instead on second wind and play the ego game around door once they enter the room you close door on them or just pop add rush and move speed and run them down when your insane attack speed with adrenaline rush and combo attack
Phys power on ranger vs fighter when using bows may be comparable but rangers still put arrows down range about 4 times as fast. I find it hard to think that fighters with a bow are a big threat in comparison.
I think it might be better for weapon mastery to have an action speed penalty on non-native weapons instead of even less damage. It makes more sense thematically and also nerfs bows on fighter in the right way. Maybe -10% damage, and minus 5-8% action speed would be fair.
I haven't watched this whole video yet, but I really hope him full sprint smacking me as a grey warlock going for troll is in this video. Ill let you know if it made it in here, but I doubt it. I was in his game earlier today.
Sprint nerf, falchion/arming sword nerfs, you can no longer get 12-14 true/add damage. Throwing axe damage reduced, throwing axe reduced from 2 per slot to 1 per slot, and lanterns are no longer weapons. :(
Suggesting that weapon mastery penalty should go from 10% to 20% and then about a week later they move it from 10% to 0% hahaha. (Ranger main currently switching to the better ranger class and looking up guides on how to build it.)
