60 goals and could not bring that level of scoring to the playoffs... Scored 2 goals in game 1 of a 7 game playoff series and then....Crickets... This guy was a goal per game from like late February to the end of the season... Then... Mediocre in the playoffs... A single 2 goal game in game 1... Only 2 more goals after that in 6 more games....

Maybe you haven’t heard that it’s a hell of a lot harder to score in the playoffs. McD has had series where he didn’t score much either

Dude, playoff hockey is a million times harder than regular season hockey. Not even Ovi scores at the same rate in the playoffs. Besides, 4 goals in 7 games in playoff hockey is fantastic.

@@jason893 Yeah, except Matthews has played in 5 game 7's and has not scored a single goal... Scored 1 goal in 7 games against Montreal last season. Scored half his goals in the first game against Tampa while playing 7 games...

This is the problem sometimes with Mathews he just goes out there to snipe and doesn't play hockey.I like that in Vancouver Tocchet is hard on his players even when they get a hat trick.I love my leafs but they are babied by the coach so that's why they sometimes just don't show up.

Kind of sad this guy has literally NEVER been past the first round. Even when he was playing in Europe in 2015-2016, he still lost in the first round...6 and a half years later and he has still not won a single playoff round. If this guy doesn't win a round soon, he is gone...
