Going through some old boxes I stumbled across this game which brought me straight back to 1995! Decipher made Star Trek the Customizable Card Game and it was wonderful! I'd love to see it make a comeback!

YES i loved the decipher card games! Found about 10 packs at my local card game store a couple weeks ago in the clearance bin for $1 each. Scooped them all up and re-lived some mid to late 90's nostalgia. Scored my first "Future Enterprise" card.

I did the same! Got a trials and tribulations box as well and scored the Ultra Rare McCoy, and finally finished collecting the entire OG crew with the Enterprise.

I loved this game back in the day. I always had a hard time finding other players. I recently bought decks for this too. My wife and I play it now and then and it's a great Star Trek conversation starter

I played back in the day, and recently got back into it buying missing cards/sealed product. Still love the vibe of the game, Decipher clearly had a lot of fun designing these cards!

I love these games!!!! I still own them and even play them from time to time. Even got my kids into both games. In Star Trek I am only 11 cards away from a full collection. It would be awesome if they would be continued in some way.

I would jump into this fully if they brought it back. Between this, Wing Commander, and Battletech games... such memories.

I have a fair few of those cards. In 2013, a guy I bought some stuff off of ebay from, who saw I was in Kuwait at the time, asked if I could get him those Kuwait Starbucks mugs. Shipped him two cases of them, and he gave me a shit load of cards from that, and a big discount on whatever it was that I bought from him.

Man, I still have a bunch of those cards kicking around. As a big CCG/TCG fan, I wish this would come back. I know people still play and create new cards for this, but I don't think any are in my neck of the woods.

Oh God, Star Trek was my "gateway drug" into CCGs, the first one I ever played. I remember one game where I built a deck that was entirely Space (all missions and dilemmas were space based) and my opponent was angry because he had to place all his ground dilemmas on his own cards.

Would love a Trek card game to play. The old decipher game did a great job of incentivising a mix of combat and missions, it really was good.

Great game. Happy I kept everything I bought back in the 90's (MTG and Netrunner in there as well).

Totally agree. I’ve been burned too many times. Especially with SW: Destiny, the 2023 Deck-Building game, etc. I’d gladly play the Decipher version anytime.

I collected these as a kid in the 90’s, but not sure I ever played a ‘proper’ game. Sadly I lost (maybe sold) my collection a long time ago. But recently a friend and I have purchased collections again via eBay and are finding we can actually play the game properly now as adults.

I had so many of the Star Trek CCG cards...I've even gotten some of them signed by the actors! I totally agree that this game was great! The Lord of the Rings TCG was also really good, which was also a Decipher product. That one was very streamlined by comparison of Star Trek and Star Wars CCGs.

I had the Star Trek CCG, quite a lot of them too. The way to win, especially for the Federation, was to make sure you had all the main cast from the Next Gen (or indeed DS9), so you got all the skills you need for missions, then the best unique ships in your collection, plus some generic Galaxy class ships, with some key other cards

True, the 'bridge crew' cards were the your main problem solvers for any mission...

11:33 both games Have a form of continuing committee, the Star Trek one is obviously better developed. The Star Wars CCG Reddit has been talking about a new card game coming out later this year from FFG that is supposedly similar to the decipher game.

Didn’t play any of these games but I remember them. They seemed so complicated but I was younger then. Maybe they weren’t so bad. I prefer the art of today more than these though

just a week ago brought my cards in order, think complete until Trials expansion. Love the stuff, but sadly no monetary value. Not that I would ever sell. Design wise it had shortcomings, but we had fun playing nonetheless.

I would play STccg agaij, but wouldn’t buy any (got rid of mine in ‘96 to pay for my eldsst daughter’s diapers). For my Star Trek fix, I now play GF9’s Away Missions and Wizkids’ Fleet Captains.

I was a bigger fan of the 2nd edition version of the game. The 1st edition was way too top heavy by the end, where setup took up a ton of the time. Second edition inthought inproved the game by having the dilemma deck stay in a deck and also introduced cost to cards so that playing multiple cards per turn was the norm and they could scalecosts.

I didn't like the Decipher SW. Bought 2 whole boxes on release day and got zero Rebel heroes. In the one game I played it was Bo'Shek in a landspeeder going up against Tarkin and Vader in Star Destroyers. So stupid.

God, I hated this game. I mean it was good, and the well made, but I'm remembering one particular time when I played it. I had all the crew I needed to solve the problems for the mission, and I beamed them to the planet and my opponent played an interrupt that made it impossible for me to.get my crew back on the ship!
