I used fishing line, upholstery thread, dental floss, spider wire & trilene cord ( those two are types of fine fishing line). They all have pros and cons. Some have popped over the years but most of them I've made with 14 or 30lb fishing line. But I want to know what type of thread they be using in Ghana and some African countries.

If you have a Michaels craft or Joanns look for mercerized cotton aunt Lydia's brand. Look for size 10 double the strand if using small beads with a beading needle and triple it if your using size 6 beeds or larger. So I have five strands of beads which fit rather snug when I got them originally. Over the course of a year I lost weight and nearly lost a few of them to the latrine. I need to restring them and then re-tie them. I’m thinking the very last type of string Nymo (I think it was)…. Wish me luck!!!

I don’t think she was trying to be rude about it. From watching the video, she wasn’t going to say “hey , get this product from here & you’re good” bc everyone’s preference is different. The video was informative enough for you to make a confident decision thinking for yourself before going to buy something. She could have used different verbiage , but I don’t think she meant to be rude.

Thank you for your well written response. The title was the reason most people watched the video, and 99.9% of viewers understood the assignment once the video was completed. Thank you for helping the others.

@@LoveJhanelle not a problem! Once I was done with it, I just said to myself I’ll try the ones that you liked most & see what I come up with. Not everyone thinks that way, most of them must expect the answer off rip (if yk what I mean)

Cause the best one for you may not be the best for someone else. You may favor one type of string over another, depending on lifestyle and goals with the waist beads. The video gives pros and cons to allow you to decide what is best for you. Here is an update of the string I currently use ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mFDcodV44C8.html
