I actually think that Brazil will get a team medal this Olympics. I’d love to see Flavia get a beam medal too and Mélanie get any medal. At her best, I think that she could make an AA podium. Her team final AA score was a 56.500. But it’ll definitely be an uphill battle for Mélanie to get that medal. Shilese got her AA bronze medal with a combined total of 56.332 this year, and that was with her having a medium-to-large error on floor. I don’t think that Jessica will be competing AA (or possibly at all) since she tore her ACL in October, and even if she is, I don’t think that she’ll have a super competitive DV like she had coming into Antwerp.
It can happen more easily for Flávia: a medal in TF. They will need to be in an absolute phenomenal shape and bring everything they got. And even if it doesn’t happen, which is a quite likely especially for Melanie, they at least won their worlds medal. Manifesting a medal in TF for Brazil ✨
I may be biased, but to me Rebeca's Cheng at Santiago 2023 was the most amazing stuck landing of the year 🇨🇱 So beautiful. Hope she remains safe for Paris. Lo máximo, lo más grande, Rebeca y Simone!!!
My top 3: 1) Melanie’s Double Pike (I mean the sheer amount of pressure, the perfect form and the entire gymternet rooting for her 😭) 2) Rebecas Cheng - It was only a matter of time before she stuck it and I’m so happy we got to see it!! 3) Rebecas Chusovitina on Floor - The only woman I can think of to authoritatively stick this skill, let alone 3 times! (Twice at Tokyo 2021!)
Fully agree with this although I'd like to add that Melanie and Simone have stuck a chuso before but that still doesn't take away from Rebecca's accomplishments. Her floor routine was solid 100% this year. Her Cheng was the highlight for me though
I love Rebecca’s Cheng vault!! The form in the air and the flaired arms to the side reminds me of When Kim Zmeskal use to flair her arms out to the side in her vault sticks. ❤😮

Just goes to show how far ahead she and Rebecca are. They're the only gymnasts I've seen stick a Cheng (I think Cheng fei might have herself too, but I'm not sure)
Paseka actually stuck one in I think the Rio vault finals. She landed out of bounds awkwardly but fully stuck it. Also, I haven't seen Simone really stick one before. She's always kind of bounced up out of her landing so her feet are off the ground even when she could stick it perfectly@@murasakino101
I understand the need of hyping, but half the landings aren't real stuck, it's just the popular gymnasts of 2023 having excellent and controlled landings. If you hoop like at 3:00 or have a step like 3:30, you didn't stick it.
Mélanie’s bars dismount is so satisfying when she sticks it! ❤❤❤ And I can’t believe how consistently Simone stuck her second FX tumbling pass! It’s so insanely difficult, but she kept finding the landing. 🫢 Also, Rebeca’s Chuso is 😘
