Can confirm. 50-year-old here on Keto for 4 months now. Was feeling depleted as hell with a key joints and muscles that were cramping especially in my stomach. Recently started magnesium and potassium along with adding a ton of salt to my diet. I feel like a brand new man. Ready to hit the workouts and the steps even harder.

Wow!! I’m 59 1/2 years old. I just became a personal trainer last year. Though I have not used my certification yet it was a wonderful learning experience for me and I hope to use it to help inspire other women my age in the future. I don’t even remember now how I found your podcast, but I am obsessed, and have learned more in the last two weeks outside of my certification than I have learned in my whole life. It has changed my programming for myself, my diet, and I won’t be stuck in that trap of cardio burning calories anymore. It’s a life changer, and this episode is going to save me a lot of money that I don’t have. Thanks for all you do! I love your sincerity and your honesty, and your no BS.

Started listening about 3 months ago. You guys are solid! I was in a caloric deficit for 8 weeks. I saw weight loss for the first 6 weeks and then hit a stall. Followed your guys advice and went into a maintenance calorie intake, some days even a surplus. And I noticed great strength increases and energy levels were great! After a couple weeks I went back to a caloric deficit, and hit a new all time low in my weight loss! You guys truly give the best, most knowledgeable advice. Thanks guys!

This is an amazing video. Sodium has been the biggest game changer for me. I had to have my levels tested weekly for many months because it was chronically so low. Increasing my protein intake helps my body hold on to more sodium. I feel SO much better now that both of those are up.

Great Episode, definitely agree on Salt, Creatine, Protein Powders, and Ashwagandha. Thanks for this episode! I love supplements. I'd love to hear more about side effects of some of these. I took cordyceps for a couple of weeks and had the worst gas pains I've ever felt. I wasn't taking too much, and from a company I trust. Stopped taking it, and 2 days later, back to normal. Would my body have adjusted? Is it possible it wasn't quality cordyceps?

related to what you mentioned about the northern people eating cod liver naturally, there has been a really cool studies, where kids with no supervisors were allowed to choose their own lunch out of 35 options or so, and by instict, each kid would pick whatever suited their profile. Ringed a bell, because there was this vitD deficient kid, who would drink cod liver oil by the glass for days in a row in the beginning. That study was part of a wider movement that connects flavors and taste to the nutrients we need, hence differents tastes for different food. Also an argument against ultra processed food, where all the flavors are mostly replaced by bold sweet, salty and tangy in similar ways

Been a loyal subscriber for a few years, I recently hurt my shoulder when doing 1rm bench press and it has been hurting for a month. Went to a specialist, which wanted to charge 2000usd for prp injection to fix my shoulder. My instructor advised me otherwise, to rest for 3 weeks. Who should I believe and how should I workout when both asked me to stop upper body exercises?

Just want to give a quick comment , I just started in this environment in February of 2023. I started out at 467 and now I'm 379. I workout 4 days a week sometimes more . Now I've hit a wall with the weight loss and stalled last month. But I am lifting more often and heavier than I use to. So I appreciate this channel.because I've learned so much info. Also I'm curious on why my weight loss has stalled and wondered what could I change to get passed it. I'm on a high protien low carb diet. Eat about 2000 calories a day, very active 10k steps a day plus gym and home workouts. 190 grams of protien is what I eat a day. Half a gallon of water a day as well. Any tips or advice would be awesome. And I wanna share that I've been a type 2 diabetic for the last 12 years and as of October 2023 I'm not considered that anymore. I went from taking 12 medicines a day to 1. Thanks again for this channel !!!

I agree. Most supplements are not as useful as advertised. As a retired professional strongman now, looking early on in my career I had a supplement sponsor which I thought was so great. Once I began educating myself and realizing that only the basic supplements (creating, protein powder, fish oils, etc) were worth anything, I just stuck with those things that helped. I would just stock up on those, which led me to having a huge supply of extras, which lasted me many months after my contract ended with them. To anyone new to fitness or training, I would say to do your research and look for experienced athletes to have a better idea as to what has helped them. Great stuff guys, as usual!

Hi guys, Can I get a view if vitamin and supplements timing matters? My current list is below and ignoring Creatine, L-Glutamime and Maltrodextrin. I take the whole lot just before bed, I am curious to know if I can benefit from splitting out these from one another, in case there is a conflict or other? Or if it’s better to pair something. 5g - daily. Few years, 12 months + on almost a daily basis Whey Protein - 44g - Post Workout. Few years. Cod Liver Oil - daily. Over 18 years Turmeric + Black Pepper - daily. 4 years + Magnesium 266mg and Zinc 10mg - daily. 8 months + L-Glutamine 5g daily. Few months now. Carb-X 25g / 50g - Training Days. Few weeks now. Ashwagandha Extract 5000mg. Few months now.
