@@bencassidy4118 hey mate, I almost exclusively use the 788MML for top water. I had a couple minutes of video that I binned talking about rods. I’m going to do that in another vid
the p-74 is my go to colour 100%. I love your idea of changing the leader length to impart a different action of the action for the lure and water column, also 🤞 i win my dream fishing rod. great video cant wait for the vx35 video next
I’ll never forget the first strike on a Bent Minnow. P-83 has got to be my fave. Trout love the Bents also. Love the range of sizes they come in, they cover so may species.
Just started playing with the OSP Bent Minnows in 106 size for shallow water Flatty work. Bought a H23 Ginrin and a P74 Pink /Chartruese same colour as the one in the video and its the P74 which I have had the most success with so far so this has to be my favourite. Love seeing the EPs in action on the OSPs.
Great video mate, here is another technique we use to great effect with the Bent Minnow, We throw it out then keep the rod tip low and give it 5 or 6 hard rips and wind at the same time you can get the bent Minnow down about 3 feet then pause and let it float slowly up to just under the surface then repeat all the way to the boat big bream love it.
Really enjoying the format of these videos, entertaining and very informative. I'm only new to bents, use them on the flats chasing YFW and Flatties - will have to give them a whirl on the Bream too. P-43 for me. Pearl white body and hot pink back. Screams eat me!
Great video Bryon, I’m a added fan of the OSP bent minnow and find colour P74 as first choice followed by a close second GF76 Bemm river being one of my frequent fished waters And Mallacoota, I have found washing your lurers in fresh water after a session we’ll prolong the hook life, getting them out of the fishes mouth does more damage than salt water.
Another great video mate been killing it lately and im learning so much which i apply to my fishing channel! My favourite colour would be the ME-28? That miller rod would defiantly come in handy
Should be really proud of the production quality lately mate. Really been stepping it up! As always I love the videos and you have pushed me to go out and get onto some of these minnows. So many colours that look the goods but the H22 champagne mirror matches a lot of bait around my area. Cant wait to get into them
Dude! You flatter me, really appreciate the words - hopefully I can maintain the standard!!! Good colour choice, but i have to admit I haven't given it a go hey. Thanks again
So glad you did a review on this lure, I love it I had to comment with my favourite P83 all white bog stock straight out of the packet. I use the high Rod with a jiggle when retrieving and when the fish are on you can’t miss Always love the channel and the content great 👍
This channel is amazing I was trying to work out why he has little subs but then I seen the uploads such a shame I think this channel would blow up if he was consistent
Great tips Byron, I like your white board breakdown. I see most people are saying the P74 is the best colour, I guess I would agree with them as I have no idea.
P-83 is absolutely killer in the rattle version over the flats, just got a solid whiting on it this arvo. P.S. keep up the good work man loving the content!
Great stuff again, Byron! They're an amazing lure. I got my first introduction to them in Albany in WA a couple of years ago - colour GF76, I think - the Wakasagi colour. I couldn't believe how much interest they got from the fish - it was almost a fish a cast at some stages! Even at $38, definitely worth having a couple in the old tackle box...
I haven’t actually used these lures for Bream yet but l love using the Ghost pearl, Crystal blue shine and the Super wakasagi colours. Awesome way of fishing in the shallows and very addictive. Awesome channel and keep up the great work 👌
I would love to have a miller rod in my arse-nal too! My fav bent minnow colour is P-74 and i just caught my first top water bream on them a couple days ago so im pretty stoked, one was first cast!
Great vid once again, never thought of placing a stinger hook on one personally I love the pearl white 73 I think the colour is works well on the dirty Brisbane river water
Hey mate I’m really enjoying this lure pack series of videos you’re doing! Looking forward the Vx video next as well. As for my favourite bent, I’d have to go p-83 👌
They are truly one of the best lures on the market and that was an awesome video on how to fish them. Personally I love the sub surface action. H-22 would have to one of the best colors for natural presentation for where I fish 👌
Thanks for the info Byron! I’ve got a Original OSP bent minnow in ghost pearl P83, but never knew how to use it until I watched your video. Cheers mate 👍🏽😉
I like the Clown colour and the Ayu. Black Bream love these lures and either smash them or just slurp them. Each way gets the adrenaline going. Great video. 👍
Great to see you here dude!!!! Feedback works both ways, you better be sending me a message on what you would have preferred I do better ;) . Chat soon buddy, keen for your next video
Another great video. I know I am to late for the 1st competition prize but I still love the H-22 colour bent minnow as my favourite. Hopefully I can still jag a place in the running to win the Miller blade freak rod.
Never used one but after this video I just ordered the P-74 and G-28. Let’s hope that the info in the video helps me catch my first salt water fish on a surface Lure.
Awesome vid mate, my favourite colour would have to be T-06 works best when I see a school of bait on the sand flats flick past them and bring it Under them where the bream and flatys are and that normally gets em.
Hey mate, another great video, very informative, I've only recently tried one these bent minnows, haven't had much success yet but look forward to giving your methods a crack, I like the C-43 colour, looks nice and natural
Thanks BTH, for the fab description of using these Bent Minnows, they're only found sporadically and I could only get the basic 110sz Pale pink or Qantas/red had or plain white (as pushed by local shop) Pink has been best of these so far in my limited experience. Waiting to see if following your instructions will amplify my success. But they cost a lot $o hope I won't lose any ( re. your recommendation of 6 lvb line) else may end all the fun. Happy fishing to all. G
Bent Minnow P-83 is my favourite colour. I lost 2 of these lure in Lake Conjola fishing the flats. Both on a massive flathead. Both fish took the minnow very aggressive like I have to say goodbye to the lure. It’s gone in a 60 seconds if you must say. Very expensive day for me. But the fun of seeing a massive splash top water is enough to get your heart pumping and broken at the same time. Very effective top water lure.
Great vid Byron, After a look in from a fish I call it tea bagging the lure🤫. I'd say fishing rockwalls on deep water you really have to aggressivly work the lure as you are lucky to have 3 metres before it drops off. Parallel the walls at your own risk 🤯 P-74 is gold around shallows but have a soft spot for C-34 on the walls.

Really cool Vid, I remember the first time I seen one used at lake Tyres by a mate on our way to an ABT comp. I couldn’t believe this bent looking surface lure slayed fish the way it did That way 7-8 years ago. I’ve since caught hundreds on them and it’s my favourite by far topwater lure especially in the p-74 and p-83 colours
Hey mate, another cracking video. So much to learn and great to have to go back to. I’ll be honest, I’ve never flicked one yet but I think I’ll be going out on the weekend and stocking up. Looks like great fun. I think I’ll definitely be getting the Ginga L-05
G35 is my favourite colour absolutely deadly. Great video mate, it would be great to meet you one day at one of the Hobie comps and have chat and laugh your what the bream seen needs mate 🎣🎣👌👌 tight lines champ.
Absolutely mate, I done a Hobie round last year in Albany as I’m based in WA. So this year has been my first full season in the bream comps WA bream classics. I even managed to place 2nd behind Shane Owens on the Moore river I’ve only been fishing for a few years and I’m obsessed with bream fishing. I’m really looking forward to my first GF in Albany this weekend. The video you done about fishing a yak comp for the first time really helped me a lot so a big thanks there! I really wanna try and do a few rounds over east next year as I’ve never fished for yellow tail bream before. 👌🎣🎣
