It's definitely worth once these mods can fix these games, but not at its initial price, I will wait for a sale.

I opened the master book originally for the achievement and ended up reading it for over an hour because it was so interesting and helped me understand a lot. The most interesting thing I noticed was that a total of four Metal Gear games happen during the same time as the Vietnam War.

So Portable Ops IS a possibility for Vol 2! Some people think we won't, but with them including both NES games in Vol 1 gives me hope. Still gotta get my copy, just got my PS5 in October so I'm playing catch up. So happy for new generations of gamers to get to experience these games!

I really don't see or understand the complaints tbh (at least from the ps5 front) as I'm having a major blast going through these games again. Platinumed MG1&2, recently finished MGS1 and now going through 2

Absolutely love the collection. You can see it was made with love for the series by all the small details they included. Also being able to play things like Snake's Revenge or MGS1 Integral that we never had access to before is amazing.

Ive been playing mgs 1 and mgs 2 for the first time on the collection and have been in love with the mgs franchise.

Thank you for this. I love this collection. People complain about the small things and I'm just happy I'm able to play these games again. I'm also happy the metal gear games FINALLY made it to steam. I also just have to say I love your channel because you are a true metal gear fan. I see alot of channels that never heard of metal gear games before or channels that haven't spoke about metal gear for like 10 years, all of the sudden they're making metal gear content to capitalize on the hype surrounding the game. You on the other hand, have been making metal gear content all the time for us even when there seemed to be no hope for metal gear series. I salute you! You are a true Patriot!

What a time to be a Metal Gear fan. I hope that after Snake Eater Remake, Konami go for a Portable Ops remake. A better name for that remake could be Metal Gear Solid: FoxHound or Metal Gear Solid: Army's Heaven. And the theme of the game could be "loyalty" or "cause". Then a Peace Walker remake and, who knows? The best is yet to come.

It says under the truths, that it was an Electromagnetic Device that stopped the bullets from hitting Fortune. Didn't she prove later after being shot by Ocelot that she does have some bit of power to redirect projectiles?

What i‘ve always wished for: My fav videogames Mgs 1, 2, and 3 as a Collection. And here it is!!! Started the MGS Universe in 1998 by the age of 8 and i just skip all the hate by people about the Collection

If I never got into Metal Gear, this collection would be an AWESOME start

2:09- LOL 😆 I kinda knew that the talk about Ocelot being part of the KGB and Lubianka was nonsense. I sort of enjoyed Volume 1, just wish the Collection gave us an option to play MGS1 in HD Resolution. It's the only way for me to record my Metal Gear Playthroughs without resorting to a Camera and record for more than an hour. Unfortunately with PS4 LiveStreams, I can't edit the entire recording until I reached at least two hours.

All it needs is a 4k patch. Performance is solid.

I loving every minute of it! Who cares what the haters say!!

I am currently waiting for the ps5 versions of MGS1/2/3 to be patched up and improved before playing them, until then I'll be playing through MG1/2 and reading some of the master books to refresh my memory and see if there is anything I didn't already know. Here's hoping Volume 2 has Portable Ops and Peace Walker HD. Peace Walker is a personal favourite of mine

metal gear 1 & 2 are actually really amazing, they read just like any game that follow them do.

did the reinforcements in mgs3 run to your exact location when they got called from a caution state and not an all out alert state? because on the switch version it feels like they know exactly where i am and just run straight towards me when i haven't been fully detected yet and the enemy is only slightly suspicious. I've heard the guard pathfinding in 2 is buggy and i've definitely experienced weird psychic guard behaviour in 3.

I'm not so sure about the master books being written for new players. For example Millers page for MGS1 outright says he's secretely Liquid Snake the whole time, clearly not intended to be read before the game.

I think the best thing about this collection is that I don't have to pay out the arse for some of these games anymore.

At least somebody like the master collection. All I hear are people distaste of it. With everything having to be downloaded and lack of new features. Underpowered Switch port. Weird Audio things. Works, it's as good as it's said.

I'm enjoying this collection but feel like I'm doing the wrong thing due to the comments that have a negative situation or a different point of view on it, which I don't really care for just not cool to hear of such masterpiece. I love this and can't wait for my break to love it even more. I mean, I finally got the reason why Otacon asked, "do you really think love would bloom on the battlefield? ". 🤣😅

I bought MGS 3 for my Nintendo switch lite as a standalone purchase. there’s been a handful of moments with major frame rate issues but aside from that it plays fine. If they can patch it to run at 60fps that'd be great but 30fps on a handheld is not a deal breaker. I'm just happy it exists. i’m sure someday I’ll get a PS5 and by then I’m hoping all the versions run at 60fps

I really want all 3 MGS games, never played them before. Although I’m not like most complainers, I do want them to fix the bugs like the codec in MGS 1 the high pitched noise and maybe other stuff. Aside from that I don’t care if the graphics are upscaled or whatever just fix the and sounds clippings and all that and I’m happy. I am thinking about this on Xbox soon.

Nice video! The master book is great, but still I would prefer the port of MGS 1 to have been better visually, to be honest.

Just reissue the gigantic Yoji Shinkawa artbook (Metal Gear Solid I-IV). That will be many times better than some digital book. I'm so jealous of owners of the artbook whose copies are valued at almost five hundred dollars.

I don't think there is a definitive truth or canon in MGS. Like MGS4 explained how Vamp could run up walls and survive death in MGS2 through technological means. But then it leaves out how he can stand on highly oxygenized water.

This half-assed copypaste HD remaster to 1080p has a manual that says that Portable Ops is canon and tries to explain MGS2 by telling lies like the Fortune thing Vol. 2 will be a shame but, this are the bases to remake 5 and complete it by having half of the stuff in if Metal Gear is dead

I'm playing MGS3 Master Collection on PC with a dualsense controller. Everytime I end up on the master collecton menu, whether opening up the game or exiting to main menu, button settings keep reverting back to xbox icons. It's annoying to do this everytime. However, I still don't really have any other problems and the games are fun.

Never played these games except for Portable Ops and both MGSV's Played a little bit of the first three never all the way through. But picked this up on PC couldn't resist it for $15. Now the question is what order do I play lol The original titles on the mgx or just mgs 1 - 3?

The best thing about the remaster that I haven't seen or heard anyone mention is the fact they slightly reworked the pressure sensitive controls for aiming automatic weapons and cuting throats during interrogations. Streaming the hd collection on ps4 or playing it on xbox made aiming without shooting and interrogating without killing impossible.

Metal gear finished when Konami fired Kojima. Sorry. Dead and buried like my heart. As well as Castlevania when they lost Koji igarashi... Same feeling.

So guess what happened to me, I didn't buy the master collection but I started playing the HD collection the 360 version... Made it all way to the big boss I reloaded my file thinking I saved it because I needed to stock up on rations my health and ammo. When I did that I've got pushed back all the way to vulgen 😡😤😮‍💨😭 on top of that, for some strange reason I'm feeling like this fight again with Vulcan is glitched 🤦🏻 now the CQC hits aren't affecting his health and every time I pull out a weapon that's when he hits me with electricity on top of that, every time I pull out my gun to shoot snake reloads and then when I'm done reloading I get hit one more electricity 😡😭😡😭 has anybody ever gotten this issue in the past versions? Is it because I'm playing the game on the series X?

Tbh why didn’t we get twin snakes version of the original game… I played the original game and then twin snakes and let’s be real here it’s a better looking game. I’m gonna buy for sons of patriots and snake eater but kinda disappointed.

I own the legacy collection on the ps3 and mgs1 for ps1; didn't felt any need for this thing. But i believe the book will help content creators

Metal Gear Solid Master Collection was a shitty move from Konami. They should had instead release again Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection but for PC. Then it would had been worth the full price. But they didn't since they wanted to milk the franchise as most as possible so they just divided the games into "collections". Kingdom Hearts for PC has similar shitty move as well. I wonder just how exactly Ocelot came by the other half of the Philosopher's Legacy. If I'm not mistaken, Peace Walker confirmed that Hot Coldman was the CIA Director during Snake Eater and during Peace Walker, making it unlikely that Ocelot killed the actual director of the CIA in 1970, unless perhaps Hot Coldman was succeeded by the man we see Ocelot kill in 1970 and that man was then succeeded by Coldman, making him a director who served non-consecutive terms.

I’m just waiting on whatever collection has MGS4.

Having access to these games on Steam and on Switch is a dream come true for me, personally. I know the collection has major problems, but just having them is such a big deal. Then there's evidence that MGS4 could be freed from its PS3 prison in the next collection! On top of all that, the Master Books finally putting to rest long time discussions and solidifying important aspects of canon... It's not a perfect package, but it is way more than I thought we'd ever get. I'm cautiously optimistic about he future of Metal Gear. David Hayter is back, and for the first time in eight years there is a spark of hope on the horizon for Tactical Espionage Action... This is good, isn't it?

I really like this collection. I understand the criticism that apart from the really cool bonus content the entire effort is a bit lazy on the part of Konami, but at least the games are there and run as good as they used to on PS5 at least. The masterbooks and screenplays are awesome! I wish there'd been a limited edition where a physical version of those was included. Looking forward for Master Collection 2 and MGS Delta.

I keep seeing various RU-vid personalities harbor a lot of issues with this collection but also see a lot of everyday people enjoying it. I’m not gonna argue that there arent some issues to point out but to call the overall package a disappointment or a bad I feel is way too much. People need to be careful with the perception they put out about things like this, folks tend to see the black and white sometimes, either it’s good or bad, no such thing as it’s good but has some issues. Making everyone think a product is bad when it really isn’t well- that’s a good way to kill interest in this franchise and is that what we want? I think most peoples issues are coming from things like Uhh…I don’t know, computer stuff I don’t really know about like aspect ratios and resolutions. Mostly stuff on the steam release. I’m playing on Xbox and can’t seem to find anything to complain about, other then I would love if MGO could make a return one day

$60 may seem a lot just for some scripts, but for me it's worth the price of admission (and also to have MG, MG2 and MGS3 on PC) -- Now if we could get actual Hardcovers of those scripts.

The Masterbooks are good, the games in the collection are sub-par

I only have 3 major complaints, and 1 minor complaint about the Master Collection. 1. No display options aside from windowed mode (I'm on PC) 2. Not enough content to justify the price tag. Including MGS4, Portable Ops, Peacemaker, and maybe even MGO would fix that. 3. Audio Issues. They're infrequent, but noticeable. And the minor complaint is that achievements don't work. It's minor for me because I don't really care about Achievements.

I can forgive anything this collection does wrong (after all, the community is already providing fixes for them) if it means that MGS4 is eventually set free from the ps3 prison.

Well, the best thing about MGS Master Collection is it finally puts all these classic masterpieces on pc so we don't need to worry about being unable to play these games due to the evolution of the console.
