Deano I just found your channel and i love it! Its nice to see a regular guy trying to make it like the rest of us. Lots of love from Western North Carolina, USA!
Hi Deano, have just came across your channel, fair play for your content. Always good to find a down to earth person giving honest informative opinions. Regarding this vid; being a big Greggs fan myself was what got my attention. Both bakeries deserve 5* as each gave brilliant vfm. Now to catch up on your other vids🙂
I love Manchester Tarts too. We used to have them made for school puddings. Only bought them from Pound Bakery in Bury & Morrisons Supermarkets everywhere. Good vid.
I thought they both looked smashing! And some of those items would freeze nicely if there was too much for one day! I wish we had Too Good to Go bags here! Thank you for the video
Both Good to Go bags were good value and had a nice selection (even though the Pound Bakery had more cakes👌) I’d have been happy with either one of them. Full marks !! from me.
Seen a few of these Greggs bags and they have all looked good. Top video Deano, should be off to Halifax myself soon to see my buddy. Have a good weekend ….Smithy
Both great value. Those pound bakery cakes are £2 a pack so you've got a tenners worth. More substantial in the Greggs though. Hope you enjoyed the Manchester tart. My favourites!
Both bags were awesome value. Its unfair to compare the contents though as one gave desserts, the other dinner.

🇬🇧 love a Manchester tart , 🤭🤤😋 I get mine from ,Spar. Not all Spars sell them, I'm up in Cumbria, we don't have a pound bakery, we'll not were I live, always been happy with my Gregg's bags, Morrisons supermarket is always a miss, same with our local, Aldi.
Heck Deano, you have got 2 great bags there. Greggs were excellent and Pound Bakery was a great deal better than the Cooplands one I got in York. I need to move to Halifax ! 5 stars for Greggs, 5 stars for Pound Bakery and 5 stars for Deano !
Oh, Deano... You need to fight that demon telling you not to pop into the pub for a pint. Tell yourself, you are helping and promoting local businesses by doing so 😂 I mentioned it on one of your other Too Good To Go reviews, the best one I have had was Greggs, lasted me the whole weekend. Great review mate.
They were good ,,we all love to good to go bags i always go for carvery ones easy make two meals ...best here sheff crusty bakes train station usually3.99 lets you pick two baguettes a 5.99 each and a bun ...tons a viewers love these reviews nice one squirrel
Salutations Deano from Mexico, Whenever I would travel (and even when I wasn't) I loved walking about cities I didn't know. I just love seeing buildings and parks and the odd flower that I never saw before (and people but I do understand it's not polite) I it was me sitting around waiting for Gregg's those yummy tarts would never have made it home hehehe. 5 🤩🌟✡✴ -s for the Bakery Haul. The Gregg's was more of a Galactic Affair...so 5 stars as well. Thanks for the tour of Halifax and you own kindly and informative Person. All the best Jim
I got 2 yesterday from Greggs 1 one’s great n got tuna cucumber sandwich & chicken mayo baguette but a bit more stuff tho that’s what was different from the other bag. 2nd Greggs bag was a bit dead was a fruit pot that sat in this heat all day lol, salad pot and chocolate croissant 🤣🤣 Both had yumyums & 2 bakes each 👍
Wow that was amazing especially the greggs one, the sandwiches are expensive in greggs usually, I'd give both bags a 5 star to be honest just for value Enjoy !!
I remember being in the barbers and the barber was chatting to a customer saying Greggs own them and all the produce is day old stuff from Greggs. 😂 Just amazing some of the crap people talk (Poundbakery is owned by Sayers)
Being coeliac, I think I hate these too good to go bags 🤪. Having to be gluten free means there was nothing suitable for me!! However, I think they are great value for so little money. Hope you enjoy them 😢
Not sure if someone else has said yet but you can tell what's in the Greggs bakes by the pattern on the top. Their app shows them and their bags have now started to too.
Hi deano nice to be out and about with you again. Hope the girls are OK. Ist bag of cakes not bad. 2nd bag good one for the price. Enjoy deano. Ann in Cumbria. 😊😊😊.
I got a manky lettuce , out of date onions, a ploughman sandwich and a pasta chicken bake for £1.99 from one stop , gonna try Costa next hope that be better
by coincidence here I am opening up a pound bakery too good to go bag. You got two good bags there, both excellent value. They both score 5! This is what I have just collected... 3 donuts, 2 carrot cake slices, 1 strawb tart, 1 apple charlotte, 4 sausage rolls, 1 pasty, 1 cheese baguette, 2 egg mayo sandwiches and a cheese roll- bargain :)
thats a serious bargain in the greggs bag ,both bags look decent, but those mexican rolls are £3 on their own, the bakes -regardless of type are easily £1 each the donuts nearly £3 so thats an incredible value bag. the other one, had decent value in it too, but you're right in suggesting a greggs win, though and perhaps this is a plus and neg for greggs, the stuff is always the same. not for them for example a manchester tart. as always a great video chief.
basically if you work you can't get them, if you are sat at home all day like single mothers you keep checking the app and reerve 5 or 6 of them and save a fortune for your booze and scratchcards
Did the Manchester tarts you got have any banana, the bakery local to me makes em with banana but my husband says that’s not the traditional recipe, both bags were a bargain x
@@JustDeano I looked for the recipe online and it seems some folk reckon the ones with banana are actually “Salford tarts” I don’t really care either way, I still enjoy em with or without bananas 😉 thanks for replying x
Those too-good-to-go bags are a bit of a lottery as you don't know what the contents will be and ideally, you need to be someone who isn't fussy about what you eat.
I love the whole TGTG concept and I especially love Deano's videos of them. However, I must say, Deano seems to be lucky with his TGTG bags, compared to some people. Some TGTG bags are utter sh!te; and the irony is, some of them are really so bad, they end up in the bin anyway, which totally defeats the whole idea. Also, the rigid collection times are a pain in the arse. I know, they only want to send out the leftovers on TGTG, but some of the time windows are so tight e.g. 30 minutes.
I have an issue with pound bakery because its not two for a pound like it used to be. I think Greggs owns pound bakery which explains the price rise. Needs to change its name
Hi Deano, i work in a town where greggs is right opposite a proper local bakery, i would absolutly never go to greggs and be serve up the rubbish, compared to the proper bakery.
Deano. I found all pies and cakes from pound bakery. Have Soggy Bottoms in my only shop They never seem to be baked long enough. Anyway great video. Bargain from greggs
