I travel with a usb spliter -- you know one usb female on one end and 3 to 5 female ends on the other end. That way I can charge mutiple devices. Kind of like a power squid! I never leave home without it! And a small flashlight. And over the ear headphones to cancel out noise. A lot of people can't wear earbuds. If your are bluetooth they almost always have a 3.5 jack, just buy a 3.5 male to male cord. And a really good, comfy eye mask. They are hard to find. My favorite is an old Bucky brand. The newer ones aren't quite as good for some reason. Great video, BTW. I can't wait to start traveling again!
Years ago I bought the Apple world adaptor kit. The plug switches on the back of the charging brick as needed for the country you’re visiting. If you’re in their ecosystem it makes the products so easy to travel with.
On the wired headphone thing, a lot of over head Bluetooth headphones have a removable wire which can be great cos you only need to throw the cable in and you have both wired and unwired options
Enjoyed the Vid. Only thing I would add is a small torch. Handy for searching to bottom of the bags, looking for dropped items under seats etc and nightime walking in strange streets.
hey!! first video I see from you, it was GREAT!! I hqve travel a bit longer thay you have being alive and I can say "Buy the best travel backpack you can!!!" I have one from Eagle creek and has being part of me since June 2000, yes over 22 years and WE have used it (friends, wife and me). Most of the list is very Gen Z and Gen Y "necesseties" but I get it, I do bring an adapter and long electrical multiple outlet for charging the phone, camera bateries and share with someone at the hostel.. I just a very basic and low tech water bottle! it works and saves a lot of money! . I like your style lady! and I am a new CUSTODIAN! cheers from Mexico
I have the MagSafe Duo Charger from Apple, it lives in my travel tech pouch because I only need one cord/brick to charge both my iPhone and Apple Watch. Paid for itself over the years.
So glad you liked the video. Thanks for being a Custodean! You will not be disappointed in Tortuga backpacks. I wish they paid me to say that, but they don't haha I just love those backpacks!
I have a portable charger that has AC wall jacks built in on the back, and universal cords built in on the sides. It also has a digital display so that when it is fully charged, you can unplug form the wall. I do like your universal cable idea, and will look into that to add to my travel bag. I refuse to travel without the digital scale so it's a big necessity for me as well. I always try and grab a pair of the wired headphones that they airlines give away on domestic flights. Many trips, I have 3 or more pairs tossed in my bag, and it has been great if any travel partners forget theirs. Sometimes, being a great travel companion opens the door for travel opportunities down the road.
One of my go-to travel gear that I bring to Disney is a phone charger that attaches to the bottom and is essentially a little charging bank w/ a built in plug that sits at the bottom of your phone so you can use it without a cord. I just used it on my last trip to Disneyland almost daily & it’s nice not having to worry about a cord if you still need to use your phone. (:
I find the best use of my Apple Watch while traveling is for using Apple Pay! No digging for/ risk losing a credit card. Just a quick tap and you’re good to go!
When my phone battery dies I die with it lol. One question. Is it possible for you doing a best ten google chrome extentions? Always love your videos!! Take care
I flew London to Perth 16 hours and my noise cancelling headset was the most important thing I had. Also eye drops ! Not tech but wow my eyes like were sandpaper
Just the most delightful video. This Custodean is off to Europe shortly so your timing is spectacular. Thank you. The tech organiser and backpack caught my eye. My wife and I think you're amazing.
That is so exciting, Milton! I hope you have the best time on your travels. Take lots of pics and enjoy yourselves! Say hi to your wife too, please! 👋🏻
@@miltonbrownrigg8409 yay! I’m seriously obsessed with my Tortuga. They have so many options too, so be sure to check all of them out and decide based on your needs/wants!
I like to travel with a combo flashlight/lantern and a little foldable box to keep along side the bed. i also use tablet toothpaste and mouthwash ... great for tsa.
The Twelve South AirFly Pro might be a good addition. It is a wireless transmitter and receiver, so you can use you wireless earbuds/headphones with a 3.5mm jack.
As for OutIet adapter, I have one that goes in all countries (basically universal) with 2 USB slot, I just make sure it works before I leave anywhere in the world. Your stuff is way too big I have much better equipment sorry to say. I also have a solar portable charger 20000mAH from Blavor, got the cable organizer good investment. I don't sleep with a pillow (don't need it), iPad is with me all the time. I weight my baggage before I leave to make sure I respect the rules and regulations so don't need the balance, I always carry my gel (for my hands) and I have my wipe with my eye glasses. I agree with the backpack I have Osprey now for 20 years only changed it three years ago. Shop around you can get smaller equipment and lighter for sure.
if you are going to be out and about most of the time, a magsafe type battery charger like those from Apple or Anker is very useful. As always, a very informative video. thank you.
I'm captivated by the richness of this material. A book with comparable insights significantly broadened my horizons. "A Life Unplugged: Reclaiming Reality in a Digital Age" by Theodore Blaze
My go-to travel and everyday bags, backpacks, wheelies and travel organizing accessories are from the LUG brand. Once I bought the first one I was a fan and collector for life!
I love all the tips, so helpful! I find the outlet adapters so useful and would be best for all my travels. Thought I might also share the best carry-on bag I have been using for a long time now and recommend it to you. It is a bento bag from Nomad Lane. It is the most trusty, functional, and easy-to-carry bag. I have been traveling for work mostly and it is the best bag ever.❤🥰
You forgot the most important travel tech essential - a smartphone. More important than any other item on this list and it even makes a couple of others, like the tablet/ereader and smartwatch irrelevant. And if you're including a travel pillow as a "tech" essential, than I'd actually recommend a good jacket over a pillow. It's way more versatile and can serve the same functions of the pillow if needed. A pillow can't warm you up if it gets cold, nor protect you from the elements, but a jacket can always be folded up and serve as a pillow if you need one.
