I made this recipe after watching your video… it was a HUGE hit in our home! Everyone loved it. The tomatoes are a brilliant idea! Thanks for sharing this goodness 💗
I like your restaurant reviews but I LOVE your cooking videos ❤ We need more of this😊 Would you ever consider putting a pickle relish in this? I'm a full flavor cook too😂
I'm a tuna in oil girl. I make mine very similar. I've never used tomatoes. So, I'm going to add some next time! Great idea, by the way! Thanks for sharing you and Brooks recipes. It takes a very sweet person to share your recipes! ❤❤❤
Christy, tuna pasta salad is something my husband and I enjoy too. For seasoning, I lean into lemon pepper, reinforced with a little fresh lemon juice. We enjoy it during the summer and eat on it for a couple of days until it's gone. Thank you for sharing your recipe! Have a wonderful week! 💜
Really loves this easy to put together recipe. What’s great is you can add your own personality to it. I have to say the original recipe looks great. Thanks Christy.
OHHHH that looks delicious and will definitely try your recipe... I want to thank you for giving me an Idea for dinner tonight for my family... I made your momma's recipe for hamburger gravy, had mashed potatoes, fresh green beans, corn on the cob and fresh cucumber from my friends garden... OMG my family loved it , definitely was a hit... thanks so much and GOD BLESS YOU and BROOKS
I wonder if I can get Chesapeake seasoning anywhere other than the Pepper Palace like Walmart or Kroger maybe. Also I have a new mayo now because Duke's is outstanding and excellent. I won't use any other from now on. Well maybe Kraft, Hellmann's or Blue Plate if I ever just can't afford Duke's at the time when I do my grocery shopping. But I really do love Duke's and I can definitely see why it'd be the official mayonnaise of Dollywood.
Christy it's so Hot today in Vegas you could boil water in the sun - lol It's 116 degrees today, then 117 and 118 on Wednesday. Thanks for mac salad vid I think it's a great idea for hot weather.
Looks yummy. WE make it using chunk light in water. Chopped red onion, black and green olives, celery, mayo, Mortons seasoning, and my secret, is a bit of the olive juice. Oh and try colored twist noodles . 😊
So I make tuna salad a lot but I have never made it like this with the pasta it looks good and can't wait to try may I ask what was the thing you used for your cup of mayo? Is that also a pampered chef kitchen gadget? 😁
Christie, that looks so good! We had our family 4th of July Saturday and I finally got to sit in my baby brother David and Tina's swimming pool. We had some good food too! Really enjoyed your video. I think I need some of that and will get everything next time at the store. Love y'all and God Bless!❤❤
I made this last Night and left it sit in the fridge until lunch today. It’s a big hit. I made it and split in half and omitted the tuna for hubby in one half, both taste great but with the tuna it’s better imo.
So it's basically tuna salad like for a sandwich but adding extra stuff and macaroni. It looks and sounds good. My wife likes tuna in oil and I'll take it with water or oil either one. What mayo do you use? I'd use Duke's mayo and I like Old Bay seasoning. So since the seasoning has salt you wouldn't have to use salt only if you want a little more and definitely use some pepper.
(FYI.. Mayo is not made with dairy. This info is for your husband!!) Your tuna salad sounds delicious! I am definitely going to make it. I usually add canned peas in my tuna salad. I never had tomatoes in my salad. But, I usually have 🍅 a tomato on the side, so why not put it in the salad! I love dill so I really think that's a great idea. Thanks for the recipe 😊
Christy, Hello to you dear friend! I have to laugh when you say that you wanted to keep the integrity of the cooked macaroni. Funny, I am exactly the same way and with potato salad too. My mother always said one egg per potato when making potato salad so I think about her when I make it. She also put a bit of sour cream along with mayonnaise. The tuna macaroni salad looked delicious and I was thinking that you could substitute imitation crab flakes chopped. I am a home cook as well so I can tell by texture, more or less spice’s & fixen’s! I got to love Duke Mayonnaise since I first used the brand however only one or two of our local grocery stores carry it. It’s also impossible to find Cheerwine pop as well. I am sure your salad was quickly gone and enjoyed by all who celebrated the Fourth of July with you and Brooks. I think I am going to invest in the battery salt and pepper shakers and a set for my daughter. Blessings to both you and your family! 🙏🏼🕊️🫂🫶🏻
The salt and pepper shakers were one of the best gifts we ever got for Christmas. Lol. So many good memories Cindy 😊. Imitation crab would work well I believe. Blessings to you and yours
Looks good...too funny, I made hamburger gravy a day before your post, now...I just made this salad Friday. The only difference is I use green peppers, onions, small amount shredded carrots, and olives and hard boiled eggs. I will try with tomatoes next time🙋 Thanks!
I love tuna macaroni salad, but my wife won't touch it. I assume cutting the recipe in half still works? Also, how about a small amount of green onion mixed in?
@rickl9253 green onion would be great. I use that in my tater salad. I prefer the milder sweeter onion in this for us. You could definitely cut it in half. I make a huge batch because everyone loves it as leftovers. This fed 3 families. Lll.
Looks pretty tasty. But i think you lost the integrity of the eggs adding them in so soon.😉😁 But hey, we all do different. I will be making this for hubby and I. (minus the tomatoes) And i love the idea of the dill!
What i have a problem with any salad that uses mayo is it looks like the mayo just lays on top and doesnt blend i n doesnt matter what dressing is used it is all of them dont know what i am doing wrong
@stephaniemcelvain9150 you're using too much mayo. This recipe calls for just enough to coat it and absorb the flavors. Also the way I mix the mayo with the spices and veggies before adding the pasta helps with that.
