Sweet, uh.... can you recommend a tent that people can afford next? 😅 I don't actually think I know anyone that would be willing to spend over $1,000 CAD on a tent..
Funny how product reviewers make themselves a name with honest reviews until they've a good following. Then suddenly every product is amazing, which I'm sure they are when you didn't pay for them 😂
Hi Will - I appreciate this isn't your main forte, but a video on getting out with your canine companion, would be really awesome. There just doesn't seem to be good, informative content on this subject. Certainly, noticing you have a terrier wandering around with you, really piques interest on how you get out with a dog like a terrier (not all of us have a sheep dog that is just desperate to please us first, and obey their instinct second), not to mention the kit you take for the dog, how its carried, tips/tricks etc - the info just isn't out there. Cheers and keep up the good work.
Hi. Thanks for the comment! I love this idea and there's actually a video coming up on this channel (I just finished it today) where I take Griff canoe camping with me. Sadly, this is my last day at Outdoors Magic so I won't be able to produce anymore videos here - give me a follow on my personal channel though - going forward, I'm planning to post some adventures with Griff over on there. This video on the channel shows me hiking with my older dog Teilo along the Cambrian Way. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lPob_KzwwxE.html
get a large one person tent or most two person tents don’t usually fit two people very comfortably. you can use the extra space for the other person as your dogs area and gear storage
Please test a tent you don’t hv to crawl into. Very difficult for some folks with knee replacements. Also, is there such a thing as a foldable lightweight cot that would be just like the toughness of that tent you reviewed? The frame would need to be strong but on the lighter weight side. Thank you.
OEX make good, affordable camp bed. Helinox make very good but expensive ones. A backpacking tent you don't have to crawl into? I can't think of any sorry.
A lot of people complaining about the weight. When you live in the UK, sometimes you don't want a flimsy UL tent. There have been many occasions when I have been very glad to have this - particularly up on the Cairngorm plateau. For backpacking at low level or in warm and dry conditions in the US then yeh a UL tent is fine. But in the UK this is a great all-rounder that sees me right through the seasons.
@@OutdoorsMagicTV The ZPacks Duplex, a DCF trekking pole tent weighs 525 grams (18.5 oz) minus stakes. It is one of the most popular tents through hikers use. The AT, PCT, CDT are the best known long trails in the US and it can get pretty windy at elevation. Especially the PCT and CDT because much of the time you’re 10,000+ft above sea level and above tree line. I said minus stakes; they sell it that way so you can pick your own to match soil conditions. IDC if someone wants to carry a 2kg tent. It’s in their pack; besides I’m a camp chair weenie and that adds an extra pound to my gear.
Man lmao, I have an Adder Sundome tent that only cost me around $60 and it's a 4 person tent and the thing is awesome as hell, nice and comfy as well. You folks out here spending an arm, leg and a kidney for a dinky ass tent? smh
