Eichhörnchen is pretty hard for non-natives because of the "ch". The "ch" sound itself doesn't exist in english and many other languages and "rnch" in the middle of the word is a bunch of consonants. Just like "Strumpf", "Angst" and "Herbst" are hard
@@NoNameNamor no. "sh" has a different german equivalent, which is written as "sch". "ch" itself has two valid pronounciations depending on the word. There's the soft ch (which comes somewhat close to a hissing cat) and the hard ch which is a very gluttural sound, pretty much the german "r" on steroids. While the soft "ch" is roughly in the territory of "sh"/"sch", pronouncing it that way does definitely feel and sound wrong, at least in high german (I assume some of the countless dialects could pronounce it that way, though).
That was great! I really liked the 555. I took 2 years of German in high school and I've been to Oktoberfest. Germany is a great place to visit. I was amazed to see people biking to work in freezing cold weather. The Germans are tough. A great place to visit!
Das ist inkorrekt. Bis 2004/06 galt als alternative Schreibweise neben „zugrunde“ zumindest noch „zu Grunde“ als richtig. „zu grunde“ war und ist dagegen falsch, falsch und nochmals - falsch. Besonders ironisch bei einem Kommentar, der sich darüber aufregt, dass die deutsche Sprache zugrunde gehen würde.

well, to be honest, i don´t know what´s more difficult about "Fünfhundertfünfundfünfzig" compared to "fivehundretandfiftyfive"... the "Ü" aside, which we know, English speakers have their problems with, it´s almost the same :D ...

Hallo Wesumatex, Deutschland is a Country not a place. A place is in German mindset a limited area, like a plaza. By the way, the background the round wall with the gate is one of the middleage centuries city wall gates in German „Stadttore“ you can find at a lot of German cities which survived the time. In Cologne you will see a few of this gates.

I´m 23 years old and german, but never heard someone say "Streichholzschächtelchen", it´s just "Streichhölzer", so please don´t make it seem more complicated than is already is.

Wenn man „ein Sonnenblumenkern bitte“ sagt, weiß in einer Bäckerei auch jeder Beschied :-) Ich bestelle auch immer einfach „Vier Normale, ein Weltmeister, zwei Mehrkorn und ein Sonnenblumenkern bitte“ alles ohne -brötchen, geht schneller :D
I would say "Kürbiskernbrötchen" is more difficult than "Sonnenblumenkernbrötchen" because there is an "ü" and an "ö. In the Rhineland the "ch" is pronounced as "sh", so it's much easier. Also, "dreihundertdreiunddreißig" rather than "fünfhundertfünfundfünfzig" is extremely difficult for foreigners because it can take years to get the "r" right in German. Either you overdo it and sound like you are French or you underdo it and sound as if you are English. Anyway, you have to decide whether to pronounce the "r" as it is pronounced in southern Germany or for instance in the Rhineland.
Another word to distinguish between mother tongue Germans and those who have learned it later: "Schwingungen." It is easy for a German but most strangers will pronounce additional G´s, will produce the I as bright as the long I, the short U as bright as the long U and will pronounce the E. The true German pronunciation is this: ʃvɪŋɯŋn. Mother tongue Germans like me have also no problem to produce the final N sound directly after M or even another N. German has lots of N´s, all of them audible.

I mean, a long german word doesnt come from nowhere, it is put together from different words that fit in logically. "Sonnenblumenkernbrötchen" could be exactly translated into "Sunflowercorebread"... If you know the words, then such a "long" word isnt really conplicated
@@maryymendes Brötchen in Bayern heisst Semmel... Es gibt Orte (hauptsächlich Alpenbereich), wo du nichts bekommst, wenn du ein Brötchen bestellst, weil das teilweise ein unbekanntes Wort ist
I would use bake than cook because in German you would never say "Kuchen kochen" or " Ich koche einen Kuchen" you would say "Kuchen backen" so it would be "Ich backe den Kirschkuchen in der Kirchenküche"
Also ich sage zu einer "matchbox" Streichholzschachtel oder frage einfach nur nach Streichhölzern bzw Streichhölzer. Mit Wörtern wie Streichholzschächtelchen oder Eichhörnchen veräppele ich nur meine ausländischen Freunde.
"Wenn man Deutsch als Muttersprache hat, ist das Wort ( Quietscheentchen ) nicht schwer auszusprechen". Das ist wohl wahr. Bei Streichholzschächtelchen kann man auch als Muttersprachler ins Straucheln kommen.
Wer etwas wirklich entzückendes hören will, der sucht sich keine Engländerin oder Amerikanerin sondern eine nette Französin, die für ihn "Streichholzschachtel" sagt.
