Ooo. What iOS app do you use?

I read about this in a Reddit post and as an IT-Guy I decided to try this. Happens often enough that I need a Monitor to access a Server. And carrying one around is no option. Salvaging one from somewhere else is a hassle I wish to remove.

Does this heat? Have delay?

Yeah it'd be perfect for that! It's definitely more designed to be used with a camera than for game recording but as I showed it can really do both jobs 😊

@@ColesygamingI saw the listing on Amazon and it says it's only capable of 720p at 60fps and not on 1080p. Can you clear that point for me? Thanks for your answer.

Be sure to go to the ones I linked in the description they're the newer 1080 60fps versions :)

ive been using very cheap capture card in 1080p for awhile before getting my hands on used elgato cause i cant justify the cost.

Good to know there's another solution, this one was just one that came to me while I was editing.

You're correct there are 2 similar looking versions of this Capture Card, but one of them is only 30 FPS & this one is the 60 FPS version. Part of the reason I put the links in the description was to make sure I linked directly to the correct one 😊

​@@Colesygaming ordered the 60fps variant just like yours, and I'm really excited about it! I had a thought that it might be beneficial if you could showcase the 1080p 60fps resolution in OBS. This way, viewers can see the resolution it's capable of and also confirm if it's running smoothly at 60fps. I recently purchased 2 USB Capture Cards, and although they were advertised as showing 1080p 60fps, they didn't quite hit that mark it was only 1080p 30fps and 720p 60 and both we're advertised as "60fps" card at 1080p.. Just wanted to share this suggestion for to give your viewers a better understanding of the setup. Looking forward to your thoughts on this! also subbed for how great the review was :DD

I didn't give the input delay to be too bad at all, but I didn't play any online FPS or anything like that. I think it'd be pretty decent for it though from the delay I felt.

Strange. Tbh I don't remember doing anything with the game audio, as far as I can't remember it just worked. Make sure you have the correct audio selected maybe in OBS?

@@Colesygaming I see Which audio setting in OBS did you use?

@@supanut2000 hopefully can't remember. It'll either be just standard "desktop audio" or it'd be a setting in the capture card input

@@Colesygaming I see I tried looking in the advanced audio properties, and there is no setting to change or bump up the quality of the audio; same goes for the source property for the audio input capture.

@@supanut2000 maybe check the audio setting of OBS maybe that's set low?

@@Colesygaming Yep, OBS. The colors look really bad too. I think I'll return it and get a different capture card at this point :(

That's really strange 🤔 not sure what to suggest could be the issue tbh. The footage I recorded that I showed in the video seemed alright to you though?

@@Colesygaming Yeah, that's what made me buy it! Everything looked fine to me and the price seemed reasonable, so I went for it. Mine looked the exact same when I took it out of the box, but the second i plugged my switch into it and opened obs, everything looked.. off? It just looks completely different.

There we're 2 variants of the device, one was 30hz and one was 60hz, I'm not sure if the other one record at 1080p 60fps or 1080p 30fps, Mind telling me what model was yours? there was a 40189 model (30hz) and 25854 (60hz).@@nin52
