I have one of these, and it's very comfortable to wear as it hides its size well with the excellent case design. I never tire of looking at it because of its unique and colorful scheme. Some things I would have liked, is closing the case back as there is honestly nothing interesting and decorated to see. The winding also feels gritty and unpleasant for a watch that costs over $1k. I personally also would not have mind paying more for a top grade Sellita SW510, as the +/- 20 seconds per day max deviation is not reassuring and there are plenty of other watches in its price range with better timing specs. Overall, its utility and design is very capable and excellent. Besides the previous things I would have much preferred, the watch offers a very distinctive and practical package that would make a wonderful addition to any watch collection or serve adequately as daily wear on its own.

Of all the watches I been looking at. And then chronos. Ans then prices. CW has the most that check all the boxes on my list. And has the most for all purposes. I love that one. Saving as we speak so couple weeks it will be time to order

As mentioned previously, this ⌚ is very comfortable to wear. Originally, I had issues with the Sellita 510 BHa mechanism with a large deviation losing time but sent it in for service and received an excellent tolerance that gains time with a small deviation. It would be nice to see this ⌚ with a more exciting mechanism, particularly with a column wheel movement. . .but that would drive the cost by several multiples. The value is insanely good for such an attractive and comfortable chronograph.

I have yet to meet a watchmaker who is a fan of the Valjoux movements. They are thick and complicated, which makes for a tall case, and a lump on the wrist, not to mention expensive and time-intensive servicing. I would be suprised if there is any enthusiasm at Christopher Ward to develop their own chronograph movement, given the relatively small size of the market for these watches, and the trememdous amount of development that it would take. Another caveat for buyers of wristwatch chronographs, is the ergonomics of using pushers while the thing is on the wrist, as compared to an ordinary stopwatch. Try before you buy!

@@seayak Christopher Ward is an online brand, and I did not have time to return it with the thirty day trial period. In truth, I am done with any and all Valjoux movements and Sellita counterparts, whether through Christopher Ward or even older Omegas. I want to sell them all for mechanisms with a horizontal or vertical clutch. That abrupt click terminating in a squishy remote control button push is really dissatisfying and should be noted as a deterrent for consumers paying a premium for chronographs. Not to mention the thickness. Pay more for better to achieve substantially better satisfaction. I would sooner endorse a ⌚ with a Seagull ST1901 as an introduction to chronograph movements than the Valjoux movement(s).
