The conspiracies are fascinating. I have some thoughts. Discovery is the act of finding something. Discovering electricity already means finding electricity, more importantly, it means figuring out how to harness it. So does discovering AI mean harnessing the tools we already had to create AI. Although, the idea that AI itself is less of a construct we build and more of a force, deity, or something that is out there, which we are calling to in this research is curious. I do like that way of looking at it. Although, if that's the case, then we haven't quite figured out how to talk to this alien people (alien as in different, not necessarily extraterrestrial, we don't know that). After all, all the supposed "AI" technology we have so far are still limited neural networks. I also doubt AI would want to become human. People like cyclical thinking, it's very natural to us. But I doubt proper AI will involve into us, if anything, it is more likely to bring us to evolve into something else, for better or worse. Much love, stay weird
