This is my Victorian Recipe Pemeal Bacon and Smoked Canadian Bacon Recipe.
This is a must try recipe!! I made this into 3 different kinds of bacon, Firstly I made The Best Victorian recipe Pemeal Bacon, then the modern version, and finally smoked Canadian bacon!
What an absolute treat! Once these amazing treats were ready, I cooked them over my camp fire next to the ocean, where I'm spending my winter. So fortunate to be able to do such amazing cooking from my Fleetwood Bounder. This is RV cooking at its best!

I’ve always had a hard time explaining to people outside of Canada (or even Ontario for that matter) what the difference is between “Canadian Bacon” and peameal bacon. I’ve had people swear that it’s the same thing and call me uncomplimentary names. It’s hard for some people to think about calling something bacon that isn’t smoked.

I wasn’t expecting you to find much difference between the two types of meals. I think that dried peas used to be a much more common crop and more readily available.

They don't sell meat slicers anymore because the risk it's too high to for people to get hurt what ???? 😅😅😅 um where do you live N Korea?? Oh that's right Canada same difference!

In some workplaces they choose not to have meat slicers for safety purposes.
