Terraria and Minecraft’s logos are something that even if I saw the font, I would absolutely know what it was due to those games being my child and seeing those logos like thousands of times

I draw in GIMP and yes, squares still exist, primarily as a definition for the storage size of PNGs. I always skew (or outright draw lines skewed) to get a hand-drawn look. Rarely, I'll actually draw something with pen and scan it with my printer, but I don't like trying to get a 512x or 256x from a scan that comes out at 4366 x 2599 or whatever.

This video and ones before it has given me an unhealthy need for your approval of my own logo designs. Combing through every video. Analyzing every sentence. "That means he wouldn't like this part!" I scrub the design. "This part means he would like this, right?" Lean into the design. This a curse... That won't be lifted until I get him on a podcast.
Minecraft's old logo shown what was about: Blocks Minecraft's newer logo still shows that but now instead of Cobblestone it's Smooth Stone with Colored Concrete subtitles.
Something cool about the Sonic logo is that most of them have the circle in the "O" IN "Sonic" slightly slanted to the right, making it look more like Sonic doing a spin dash

It wasn't until several years later of being a Sonic fan and watching this video did I realize all of the O's in Sonic are slightly tilted... Now I can never unsee it.
To me, the logo of _Kingdom Hearts_ invokes both gothic, Feudal to Renaissance era European handwriting, and Chinese calligraphy, which sets up the games’ integrated Eastern and Western themes and ideas.

My favorite Sonic logo is honestly Sonic Shuffle. It shows that it's both a board game with cards AND that it's from a dreamworld. I never really thought about logos this deeply before, thanks! This will be helpful for my own video game someday and now I'll have to figure out what other logos I like.
I think Quake's logo is clever. it's the opening of the helmet where the eyes nose and mouth are, it's a moon crescent with a nail going through it, it's an eclipse with a lense flare, it's both a Q and a U, it changes texture and shape depending on the game, and it's a roman arena.

when it comes to logos i love The World Ends With You it's busy but not too much so and even the re-releases added some attitude to it. Oh and final fantasy logos but that's mostly cuz it integrates a bit of the story into the title always.
Dude, TWEWY is one of the only games that has a logo as good as the game itself. I played it on a DS emulator on my phone 5 years ago, and it still is one my favorite games ever. I love it so much, I even got Solo Remix and Final Remix. I just hope we'll get a sequel one day, but judging from what Final Remix added at the end, we will get one
