The man they kept showing was his father. Both his parents are in the music business. His mother was a famous opera singer in Kazakhstan and his father was a singer and producer. Both toured together, and when Dimash was little he would go on stage and bow to the applause. The more people would clap the more Dimash bowed. His grandmother and grandfather raised him ( a Kazackhstan tradition, the first born boy is raised by the grandparents). His grandmother took him to music school everyday, he's been studying piano and singing since he was 5. When he was 5 the school told his grandmother he had perfect pitch. He has been studying ever since, still to this day. Someone wrote that he was going to take a year off of touring to study in Los Angelas Ca.

Yeah, you’re absolutely right. Beautiful songs and good performance give me energy at this crazy time. Dimash released a new song about 2 weeks ago named “We are one”. Song is about crisis what we are experiencing now. Song teared me up and gave me strength. He gives such a good message to the world and shows his appreciation to front line workers. I left you months ago with many Queen and Freddy Mercury videos. I followed you down that rabbit whole. Only to leave to follow Dimash down his rabbit hole. Yesterday I find you on your very First Dimash song sos live no doubt and here we meet again with you going down the Dimash rabbit hole. The Dears say you just got Dimashafied. The Dears have taken a bucket of cold Dimash and poured it over your head. You gave me many happy videos of of one of my favorites Queen. I’m 63 years old and was very sheltered as a child and even into adulthood. I saw my first movie in a movie theater at 45 years of age. I’m older than the young generation discovering queen but I found about and saw Bohemian R. About a year ago. And, I never let go of queen till I I discovered Dimash by accident on a whim for something different. Just never say I know Dimash sings high so I’m going to be ready for him this time. You will not be ready for him for a long time to come. He surprises a lot. And like lady Gaga has new looks so does Dimash. He looks about 16 years here. But by this time he’s had 20 years of education and experience in the music industry. On stage a 2 yrs. Playing the piano and singing before audiences at 5 years. I’ll come to a close but at this age...23 years he is already in Wikipedia.

Dimash is a magical journey of sound and feelings, of talent unmatched. There have been times when I've been depressed and listening to Dimash has put a smile back on my face and in my soul. His newest song which you can find on his channel, "We Are One" which is a tribute to all the amazing people on the front lines during this trying time, has me in tears every time I hear it but they are tears of hope and appreciation. He is truly a gift to this world.

I have never admitted this before,and maybe I shouldn't in a public scenerio like this but I want to let you know.. Dimash literally saved my life.. I suffer with depression. I can't say my life is that bad but I ha e been through alot of things like many people have.. I have my times when I am not happy and nothing can change that,so I lock myself in my room away from my family, and think about how better off they would be without me.. I k ow this is stupid but it's just how some of us suffering with depression is.. anyways I was in my room with the door locked and was thinking of just leaving them all.. I had actually even wrote a letter this time. When I received a message from a friend telling me I needed to listen to a singer she had found. It was none other than Dimash singing SOS. I listened to it and broke in tears.. I listened to it a second time.. my whole mood changed. I felt at peace. I felt like someone had wrapped their arms around me and told me it is okay.. I ripped my letter up and wrote a beautiful poem of life.. now when my depression hits me I immediately listen to Dimash.. he is my Angel. I believe God sent him to Earth for each and everyone of us... Sorry for babbling on just wanted to share my story. This song was first done by the singer Vitas. Dimash took it 1 1/2 steps higher and put his own unique spin on it as usual. The thing with Dimash...is his stage presence and ability to command the audiences attention just by watching him. You are right. He's the real deal. On and off stage. Won't find a better human being. Innately gifted he says of himself..."If you look into my heart....you will see music. If you look into my brain....you will see music also". From a toddler...he's known his path. His family and upbringing provided the perfect greenhouse for his talent to blossom. I'm sure others have told you in the comments, but in addition to his talent, he is an amazing person. He is humble, kind, generous, and hard working. He has a very close relationship with his family. The man in the suit who fist pumps towards the end of the video is Dimash's father, Kanat. He flew in from Kazakhstan to surprise him. Dimash always gives the credit of success to his parents, grandparents, and his teachers. He has trained since he was 5 years old. In an interview sometime in the last few years, he stated that he trains as often as possible with a vocal coach and that he sings about 3 hours daily. It is such a joy to be a fan of this amazing person!

So far, everything you have heard are cover's of other people's songs. Just wait until you hear the song's that have been written especially for his voice! Legendary Russian composer Igor Krutoy came out of retirement to write songs for Dimash....and each one so far has been a masterpiece. As a musician, I know it can be difficult when you first hear Dimash....it is just so overwhelming, and can make you question your own talent. For those of us who have been following him for several years, we know Dimash is humble and would not want that. Dimash wants to inspire and touch listeners. He shows what is possible, and he proves that the greatest instrument was created by God almighty himself.....the human voice.
Igor Krutoy is NOT from Russia. He was born and raised in Ukrain, in a city called Haivoron while his father worked in a factory in Haivoron during Igor`s childhood.

Hey Great reaction!! Can I just tell you that you STILL have seen nothing yet when it comes to Dimash. You will see something new, some new skill, some new talent in every performance. Just when you think you have seen it all YOU HAVENT. Remember, he's 22 years old here. It was 2017 and no one knew who he was when he did those first two performances. He's 25 now and even better. But keep going on the Singer contest performances. Next up, he does a Queen song called "The Show Must Go On" . Completely different feel to the first two performances. By the way, the first performance was in French, the second was in Russian. The thrid is in English. And then the 4th which is a really sad song called Autumn Strong is in Chinese. He speaks Russian but only a little English. However, NONE of these songs are in his native tongue of Kazakh! Can you imagine singing these hard songs in languages you can't speak and all different types of languages to an Audience who doesn't know you and whose language you don't speak??? AND HE'S 22!! The "S.O.S." you saw was episode 1 of the Chinese TV show Singer 2017. Nobody had seen him before. The rest of the competitors were established Chinese artists, and Dimash was the wild card. The judges of the competition were the 500 member audience, who voted at the end of each episode. The well-lit people they show are the other competitors backstage. This was the second episode, and the audience was familiar with this song by Vitas from a few years back, but in the original version Vitas only modulated once. Dimash kept going higher and higher. The man who fist-pumped at the end is Dimash's father, who didn't let Dimash know he was there until after. Episode 3 is "The Show Must Go On" by Queen. At this time, Dimash only spoke Kazakh and Russian, so any songs he sang in English or Chinese were learned phonetically, so although his English wasn't perfect for episode 3, I don't know if the Chinese audience would notice that.
