Hi Guys, In todays video we take a look at the Volvo V90 Cross Country to determine whether it is a worthy successor to the XC70! www.keithpricegarages.com/use... #volvo #p3 #v90CC
Adaptive cruise and blind spot (2013 V60) are two of the best driver aids and are now a requirement on anything else i look at. Shame there will be no more new estates from Volvo.
We own the same with T6 polestar tune. One issue - your favorite dog gate had to be removed due to the air struts going bad. No replacement is available. A new one seems to be the only, quite expensive, option.
I had a V90 D4 Inscription after my V70. Lovely car, although mine was ruined by the "20" wheels it came on. After 60,000 miles a service was quoted, with brakes at £3500. I sold it.
I have a XC60 Inscription with the vented seats, before that had a Momentum XC60, and found that you sweated quite a lot, but the Nappa and vent makes it another world.
Nice review. I thought I’d come up with a killer point at rhe Volvo showroom recently…They wanted me to swap my 2014 XC70 for V90 Cross Country but I said I wasn’t happy with the touchscreen commands (while driving) and that seems to go against the Volvo safety tradition. They then demonstrated that all major commands - heater, radio, telephone etc. could be managed with Voice Control 🙄!! I have tried them on an XC40 snd they do work 👍🏻 - once it gets used to your voice and you say, for example, Call John - not Ring John 😀
Could I put in an "off topic" question?? I am about to have my third ABS Sensor in a year replaced (£150 each time)! To be fair, the XC70 is nearly 10 years old (but only 36,000 miles). Is this a common fault on Volvos as it certainly is for me. Oh and by the way, you were going to let us have your views on the merits or otherwise of locking wheel nuts? Please let us have your thoughts on these topics at some point. Thanks again.
Does this V90 suffer from the irritation of the radio shutting down after about 5 minutes or so when parked due to "low battery"? Seems to be a regular problem when parked up listening to the radio in my S80. No real obvious reason for it, battery in good condition, is it down to a rather too high battery voltage safety threshold?
Thanks for the review! As a former V70 owner, I had a my first drive in a V90 the other week but was sadly disappointed. I was, of course, aware that there is less boot space than in the V70/XC70 but I was quite surprised at just how noticeably smaller the overall capacity is. What was Volvo thinking?!
