oh man really thank you a lot! I wish I had found you much earlier!! I had this constant pain in my shoulder blades and some "doctors" addressed the wrong issues but I did what you said: Hahahaha unbelievably miracle! The pain just disappeared!!!! God Bless you and I will continue to listen to your channel more! You are really handsome by the way!
Blake..you have surely encouraged me to work-out. I just got in contact with a great local trainer who is excited to work with me. You've given me the motivation by the way you look and the great vidz you post. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. LOL. You've also motivated to grow my beard for the first time. LOL. It's amazing how that happens. Keep up the great work, Blake. I hope you continue with success on your fitness tips. Blessings, Dude! I'll continue to watch, bud! You motivate me, man! :-)
hey blake, we talked about a month ago about "fixing" bowleg and you mentioned that you would make a video regarding the issue. I was just wondering if the video is coming any time soon. Keep up the good work brother, we appreciate it.
Hey, Blake, great video, definitely gonna include those release techniques to my bedtime routine :) Have a question though: Can you tell me if cracking sounds in my chest when i extend my thoracic spine normal? Like when I fully open my chest and shoulders I hear a cracking sound. I do not feel any discomfort or pain, it just cracks. I've been reading mixed data about it, wanna hear your take on it. Also, waiting for that video on walking properly you once told about in the comments :) Thank you for reading this and God bless you, brother, your videos have really helped me improve my life and reevaluate my views on training in general! :)
Your videos are my favourite! :D One question, why is it important to do the rolling of the muscles first before stretching? Just to do with muscle length? Thanks a ton! :)
Hey Blake, I have been working out consistently (3-5 times per week) for the past year doing a push, pull, legs split; as well as incorporating posture exercises and stretching into my weekly routines. I do my best to work on my external rotators, rhomboids, and lower traps to fix my posture and slight scapular winging, but even though my posture has improved, my shoulder both tend to wing (The right is much worse than the left). It's not really noticeable until I place my arms behind my back into the lower back groove, which is when i can see significant scapular protraction. What are your thoughts on this and what do your recommend me doing? Thanks for all your videos, extremely helpful!
Can the lats also pull your shoulder into inernal rotation? I feel them very active in my left side. This video will come in handy. My left pec is really tight
I need to release pec major and minor tone to help my thoracic outlet syndrome. Is it the same exercises you did but without the door stretch one that might increase the symptoms?
How far over to your armpit does the pec muscle extend? Most of what feel like trigger points are closer to the armpit area, like just next to it, close to the joint between pectoral and shoulder. Like basically I’d be massaging nearly in my armpit but still in the pectoral side. Lol so hard to describe. Can I massage that area? Or could that be an injury of some sort?
Hi. Can u tell me how often u suggest streching, stability exercises (for scapula, core..), miofascial release, rotator cuf exercises (external rotation..) etc. Tnx
Blake, I was doing this and my arms/fingers started getting tingly, am I doing something wrong? As far as I'm aware i am doing it correctly, the shoulder is pulled back and I feel the stretch in the pecs.
I experienced a lot of stuff like this when I started doing tai chi standing posture... my interpretation was that it was the nerves coming back into action as they were no longer impinged by my forward posture. That was a few years ago now and at any rate things have improved, my feeling is it was a good thing.
@@nicolettapullan611 thank you for your comment. i did the pec minor stretch tonight. really making sure i did it with correct form. and my left side (the side im tight in) started getting tingly in my hands and arm. i was unsure if i had done something wrong but this reassures me :)
Appreciate the vids, I have a question a bit off topic, but I'm desperate. I've a really bad erector spinae imbalance, my left is over developed, right is almost none existent. I've seen physios and chiros and no one can seem to figure out how to correct this effectively. Can this muscle be isolated somehow, to just work the right side? I got it from 15 years of surfing, then through weight training on top of it and made it much worse. I'm thinking maybe I should surf and skate switch foot to help balance my core, idk.
I can't get my shoulder still against floor when i'm trying to do that ''Wall press'' on floor. I did doorway stretch 4 sets of 1min 30sec, but still my shoulder are 1 inch away from floor. Any help?
When I pull my arm bone back of the socket, I will feel something near my trapezius, I don't know how to explain it, but i don't feel a lot stretch in my pectorals.
But after doorway stretch I still can't get my shoulder against wall while doing Wall press, when I'm trying to do it on floor... my shoulders are half inch above floor, but my elbow, forearm and wrist is touching floor.
Hello, I have one shoulder that's rounded more than the other. It has gotten so bad that my collar bone on that side has moved up. Do you have any suggestions for me?
+Mary Newsome Hey mary, I would check that one side for more tightness in the pecs. That is likely what is going on. Focus on stretching that side a bit more!
I tried this stretch and i could feel the stretch in my pecs as i was doing it but now i have a really sore pain in my left side i think i have strained my oblique muscle.
