You shot a guy in the head at 2 inches with a 13.2mm projectile leaving the barrel at 785 m/s delivering 15868 J of energy to the back of his head. Dayum.
If you want a good depiction of what it was like in WW1, you don't need to buy anything. Just dig a muddy ditch in your back yard and sit in it for three weeks ;)
usmh and get guns shot at you get bombs landing next to u and seeing lots of people die and then if you live you have depression for the rest of your life
Rollo Q I think you have confused the Ottoman empire with Modern day Turkey. The ottoman encompassed alot of Arabia and North Africa which has alot of desert
Well, it's possible that they didn't want to spoil the best maps quickly and just wanted to put some basic less exciting maps up to just simply get the data they need to prepare the game for launch.
*Starts getting shot from behind in a plane. Gets out of the pilot seat into the back seat. Shoots the plane down. Jumps out of the plane.* That was badass.
I was one of the few medics that was running around reviving my teammates. Many times when I revived other medics and then died they just run off and leave me there.
I was one of the few supports actually dropping ammo. As soon as I unlocked the big ammo bag I went with small and big bag as gadgets. I always forget dropping the tripwire anyway, so I just took it out.
I feel your pain :( made me sad to see myself revive 4 guys 3 of which were medics to find myself dead after wards and then them either running away or staring at my body
The Gewehr 1918 fires a 13.2x92 mm which is a .525 caliber meaning it has a slightly larger bullet than the .50 BMG (12.7x99mm) used currently in modern anti material rifle but with the 13.2 has a slightly shorter length meaning it has a smaller powder charge so a lower velocity meaning it drops faster. The 1918 is still very powerful with it giving off 15868 J of energy which is a lot compared to say a 9mm which only delivers about 600 J
Your name: John Snipes Your mission: To take back the town of Ahmadinejadous, Pheonix province, Egypt before the Turks take it over. Doing so you will hopefully retrieve your family back alive but if you refuse your family will die starting with your wife, Sarah Snipes. Do you choose to accept the mission?
Yeah look at you all grown up. You have some nice bicycle videos my friend. Games are a total waste of time. Hehe, i got your bomb joke lol, it was super duper :)
most of the german tanks were made in the last year of the war. this was because they believed it was weak to fight in a big steel box, they quickly changed their mind after most of their defensive check points were taken by the Mark 4's
"did you know that 90% of german tanks never fought in the war," Well, they only built 20 A7V tanks so I think what you really intended to say is: "90% of all tanks the Germans used weren't even German at all but captired British and French tanks. If they only built 20 A7V's then if 90% of them "never fought in the war" that means only 2 A7V's saw action and 18 did not.
Tea Mistro im running this game on an i5-2500k ... 4 generations old cpu... and i have to play on low to get ~60fps but i had trouble sniping.... sniping in bf4 for me was easy both short range and long range.... sniping in this with the default gun was hard and considering that i didnt play the beta that much because i had other stuff to do i never really leveled up the sniper class :(
also the Brits helped withe the Arab revolt against the Turks. People seem to base their knowledge of WW1 on the one history project they did in primary school
+Dreamy Dritto Well the Sinai Campaign was executed by the Ottoman Empire (suggested by German Empire) to threaten the British Empire's gate to Asia (Suez Canal). This way Germans hoped that Britain would put some forces on this line which would get off some stress in European battlefields. This kind of thinking was commonly used in long term war strategies both in WW1 and WW2 (where great nations depended on armies and supplies mostly from their far away colonies). And in desicion making, German strategy offered that while Turkish army was poor in condition and mostly depended on German equipment, Turkish army was familiar to both middle east and north africa. So in those theathers German army generally just observed the operations. Also Egypt was declared a British protectorate only on 5 November 1914 when Ottoman Empire entered the war. PS: Ottoman Empire consisted of not just Turkey and Arabia, but also Syria, Lebanon, Israel, Iraq (basically all the middle east except Iran).
No he doesn't pronounce it right and german for gun is Pistole (like pistol, but with pronounced E). As Alix wrote: Gewehr means rifle. But well for non-germans: yeah he kinda pronounces it almost right ^^
You clearly don't know much about WWI. The middle east played a HUGE role in winning WWI because of the oil. Oil is energy, energy is needed for tanks, cars, factories (for guns and what not), etc.
Not just Gallipoli, and all I was saying is there was lots of fighting in desert environments as well so the comment about "why play on a desert map when people want to feel like there in WW1 is not really relevant.
oaksterdam they should have had dismemberment. E.g Get killed by a grenade = Blown up into a billion pieces. E.g Get run over = you are a red paste in the ground
Over the top Gore isn't realistic. However if blood didn't just explode out of the body and would be more realistic. On the other hand this kind of gore could be to much to handle for people with a weak stomach.
Martin Catanes Found this on the webs. Close though. The name "4K resolution" refers to a horizontal resolution of approximately 4,000 pixels. The use of width to characterize the overall resolution marks a switch from previous television standards such as 480i and 1080p, which categorize media according to its vertical dimension. Using that same convention, 4K UHD would be named 2160p
James Brockett the lack of mobilility, scarcity of ammunition, the 8mm mauser was a large round in It's own right and did the job. The reason would be It's overkill nature. pardon the pun.
Isn't that a thing that every shooter game does? I mean it's stupid but in most of the shooters I played so far melee was stronger the most of the guns.
Tupac Amaru Shakur I came here for the same reason everyone else did, I just happened to like the way the outro sounded and was wondering what it was. And just because you don't like the music doesn't mean everyone else hates it.
“ I found the most effective way to use this gun is to aim it an inch from the enemy’s head. You will never miss a headshot ever.” Tune in next time for more pro tips from Frankie.
the role of a machinegunner is to deploy and support. battlefield turned that role into an assault class. there is no integration of strategy, teamwork, and tactics like there is in games such as Verdun and Red Orchestra 2. It's another arcade shooter in a different time period and it's nothing memorable.
Doesn't really alter the immersiveness. I'm pretty sure the discussion at the development went like this: "Let's do WWI Battlefield." "Great! There's only like 4 guns we need to model then." "Only 4? Are you sure?" "Well, there was a prototype machine gun." "How many of them?" "Three." "Per squad?" "No. Three." "Ah... put them in. You know any others?" Take the chance an average soldier would have any of these weapons, and it really wouldn't make a great Call of Duty clone.
Calipto wait what is a buggy mess? bf1 is in beta and Verdun has one of the worst hitboxes in any shooter, from what ive played and ive played lots, even after they improved it a bit, i wish it wasnt on consoles too but it is, it still feels like an alpha or beta game tbh, for a full game it needs to go a long way to be fully playable, bf1 had awful spawns and such but its only a beta. i like both and ill play both though, bf1 needs trench warfarw, verdun needs a working hitbox, even bf4's wasnt that bad
MrZodiac011 Listen, Verdun is buggy too, but at least it isn't complete bullshit. All you played in the so called "Beta" was the full game without all the maps and weapons accessible. Do you never learn? This is EA we are talking about.
Calipto I know that games like black ops 3, battlefield 1, doom, titan fall 2 and many other games arent actually alpha/beta they are just demos of the full game but early so this still can call them beta as the games arent released and they are still a buggy mess, they have about 2 months to fix this crap since the beta to the full release so there isnt really an excuse, but EA has changed the way bf1 works so much since the beta that its crazy
Anyone watching this video…. Frankie will be back 3 Days before the launch of Battlefield 2042! So maybe 16th November 2021. He has announced on Twitter!
why is it every time you play with Sada in any game, he turns a corner and gets shat on and you're about 2 steps behind him like "Oh, maybe not a good idea"
Sam Frankie I only got revived once by another person outside of my squad and revived like 35 ppl counting ppl outside of my squad and I would get so salty when a medic would just walk over my corps :3
Its definitely a fun game but I agree with all you mentioned. I was disappointed with the campaign. I wish it followed a certain character rather than various war stories. Also, Frankie made a good observation on how in a WWI game, we're playing on desert maps.
isn't it amazing that because of this game we are getting to know so much more about the world wars !! Those were the biggest events in the history of mankind and today's generation does not know much about them. ( apart from the basic knowlege)
I don't like it for the fact a lot of people snipe and don't cap or go for objectives. Sitting up on hill shooting people is fun, but hey, that fucker is going to spawn right back and keep playing while you are still up there doing absolutely nothing productive. Just shows the amount of incompetence.
you can do that by yourself. you put two fingers at your neck at a place where you can feel your heartbeat, then count the beats for ten seconds, then multiply it by six. dont quote me on that, but i think it is like this.
