If GCC wants to compete with CAC he absolutely needs to focus on high quantity for existing products before making new ones. That’s the formula for success. Way, way too many custom printers out there making tiny little runs of things and then never doing them again for no reason. The knockoff helmets look fine.
I'm gonna need to keep an eye on this. All these figs seem pretty reasonably priced, with lego-like detail, and pad printed on official Lego parts. I'm certainly intrigued.
No way you played Juana la cubana; a song i have liked since I was a kid and that makes you even more awesome 👏 The figures are just incredible and they definitely change the game when it comes to star wars figures. Looking forward to seeing the follow up video and contiue to grow within youtube and have a wonderful day. May the force be with you
They have some of the best custom minifugures on the market but their stock issues are absolutely awful, they recently took their phase 2 grunt out of production and aren't sure if they will ever restock their shock trooper. I love the quality of their figures but I am not impressed with their desire to not restock their older figures
Lego quality - check Lego print - check Kick ass figures - check Affordable - check these tick all the boxes, it's a lego figure just one that hasn't been made by the company yet. I'll defo be buying some
Definitely gonna be bookmarking Grandpa Clone Customs cause this just became my new favorite custom minifig shop in no time flat. Always wanted to get my hands on minifigs based on the games and seeing ones like these at such an affordable price is right up my alley! _Also WHAT was that about buying Phase II Codys in bulk??_
Everyone always talks about GCP, but no one ever talks about CAC. I personally feel like CAC is by far the best there is on the market for custom pad printed minifigs. Sure, it's a little pricey, but IMO hands down the best there is
I really want a complete collection of LEGO Star Wars TVG figs, but the only real option is the few that were made for official sets (Windu, Phase 1/2 Clones ect..) And spending 500-1000$ on custom figs from 2008~ It makes me want Lego to make sets based on the old games with classic style figs, but it'll never happen
Reopens on their big drop night (restocking I think half their store + 5 new figs) very very soon!!! Check their insta for best timing, or their discord, which is always a really fun place. During the drops, we hang out in the voice chat and it’s a really good time. Met some friends that way.
If grandpa clone customs could maybe expand the company and have people making pad prints in batches ready for when a lot of the most popular clones sell out Captain Rex, Tup, Dogma, Grunt trooper, Shock trooper, Kamino trooper, Captain Grey, Tukk trooper “ect ect”
Cac make figures that stand out and they don't really fit in with other lego figures so seeing this and how easily lego figures can be replicated is surprising
For real if this get to popular Lego will maybe sue them. Because if they sue an RU-vid channel only for a bit looking Lego brick logo (no person would thing this is the official „lego“ channel) but here they are office lego peace’s and they look 100% like lego.
Stuff like this is great; I just wish it was more common for replicas of original Lego characters to be done like this, especially since a lot of them are, if not rare, just never produced; like game-accurate Lego Island 1 characters, or game-accurate Rock Raiders (particularly Chief, who even in his official figure has an inferior torso print), or heck even Clutch Powers. It seems like for some reason Lego is much more protective of their original copyrighted designs, but custom Lego Star Wars designs have always long existed in the community, despite Lucasarts/Disney being much larger companies. It's certainly bizarre, not to mention disappointing, since I sincerely doubt Lego would ever bother making faithful recreations of the above characters anyway; at most they'll do "modern" redesigns that barely resemble how they originally looked (see: their multiple attempts at Rocket Racer). Such a shame...
Hey really appreciate both lengthy comments you left. Those both totally made me so happy to see these comments! The thing is- those classic figs are even simpler! So like, someone please take a stab at them! I hear you.
GCC is not the only pad printing custom minifig maker... CloneArmyCustoms is doing it for over a decade... Christo is doing it for two decades as far as i know, the issue is... its very expensive, and the only reason GCC and CAC can afford it bc they have mostly repeating designs... pad printing is insanely uneconomic for smaller runs.
Hi, I was wondering if you could share the character files with me, I was planning to download them to make my own custom figure. May you attach a link below my comment. Many Thanks
Normally I would be annoyed by this but lego ain't doing it. They are not interested in clone wars stuff so good on the people in the factory for doing it.
I HATE and I mean HATE custom figures but you almost can’t call these customs unless they have the fake helmet. So I’m warming up to these but there are some atrocious customs out there
Does anyone actually know where people are buying figures in bulk? I saw some guy have like 40 p1 (new) cody's and MandR recently sold 20 p1 (new) grees and alone those are really expensive.
nah. your (kinda) wrong lol this really applies only to the clone market at the moment, not, any others for example, the biggest custom lego company (brickmania) prints literally only with uv, and, they are VERY slowly switching towards pad printing lol. basically, the uv stuff wont be a ting of the past for many more years. did i say that uv is sooo much cheaper, and only mature companies can do pad printing?
