I reeeally wanna try those new nyx blushes. They look really high quality and their colors look yummy. No offense to rem but their new blush still looks super cheap to me
Thank you, I needed some deinfluencing on the MILK jelly blushes, kept thinking that something strong like that might be good for days when I’ll sweat off everything else, but when it’s that bad outside, blush is sort of the last thing I need 😂 Plus nothing has topped the Milani lip stains for me, just bought all 6 colors and don’t regret it a bit, those are best-in-class!
You talking about dropping the NYX Butta Bronzer reminds me of the first couple of times I used Rare Beauty's powder highlighter, I love that highlighter in Exhilarate. One of those times because the packaging is so slippery.. I lost grip of it and flug out of my hand and half way across my room 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️😅😅😅🤣🤣🤣 I was like.. oh no 😬 please dont be broken.. Luckily it was only a corner that had broken but still 😬😅😅😅
Kelly, please don't fall for this new "no eyeshadow" trend. It's soooooo f*king boring and I'm tired of seeing it. Please do what you want and don't follow what everyone else does.
I just bought it 👀 it's still fairly recent, but i feel like this is what ppl were saying when it first launched, and now months later it's still part of the favourites of many ppl, so I have hopes lol
The first time I bought the NYX Butta Bronzer, I dropped it the morning after I bought it and it shattered all over the floor. So Sad! I went & rebought it. Love it!
Yes to the Rare Beauty blushes being one of the worst products. Everyone was losing their minds over them and I sat here thinking "it's a colored highlighter...in a color that's not flattering as a highlighter...(at least for me)." I used the highlighter and it was SHINY! I wouldn't want something that shiny on the cheeks. I just didn't understand the hype at all. I'm sitting her chuckling now that everyone is like "meh, maybe they aren't as great as we thought." This was a fun video! Thanks for sharing this!
I purchased the Catrice peach blush because of you and I use it all the time. The NYX butter bronzer is 👩🍳😙 I absolutely love it. I have the same shade butta cup. This will be my go to ALL summer. Last xtender (I have black) and I feel like I have to be extra careful bc it can easily get clumpy. But, if I am careful it is wonderful.
Wow! The demo of the Huda Beauty powder was super impressive! What a huge difference! I have the peach one in my cart for forever now, but I hesitate because I fear that it may be too dark (yes, that cheery ghost in the picture is me 😮)
Honestly, I am so over the highlight/blush combo. I am an oily gal, and I just need the glowy stuff to chill. It is pretty, but I feel like everything has glow now. HAHA!
I totally agree with the milk makeup jelly tints, I bought them because everyone was hyping them up! But I still haven’t figured out a way to wear it..and the rare beauty blush + highlighter, I ordered one online and it came broken and even when I did swatch it it just looked like highlighter (no pink pigment at all).
i’ve been on a super low buy for the past couple years, but i can’t resist the ND mini palettes, and the mini dream palette is my perfect dream mini palette. i have her INAN palette on my wishlist for sure. i also have fenty’s new highlighter and gloss bomb on my wishlist as well. i also love the nyx buttermelt bronzer and blushes so much. i love REM’s products and i have the peach planet blush on my wishlist. elf has been killing it this year with their sunscreens, lip liners, lip oils, and mascaras. i wish i could use the covergirl lip stains but i have severe mobility issues and i’d just end up looking like a hot mess. lol. i’ve always loved huda’s loose powder, but i only buy the minis. i never wanted to try milk’s blush stains, because i didn’t like the colors and it was a straight up gimmick. i’m so glad that i resisted on the rare beauty blushes because i’ve heard the same thing from my favorite creators. thank you so much for all the work you put into your videos and for saving us money. 💜💜💜
The NYX buttermelt bronzer packaging is so slick that it slipped in my hands the first time I was opening it and my nail gouged a solid chunk out of the pan, very annoying
My buttermelt bronzer also came broken and I also dropped it so I think it’s the fastest I’ve ever gone through a bronzer. The fragileness is the reason I probably wont be repurchasing 😢
Thanks! WRT to the Rare Beauty blushes, why not just get the Milani Baked blushes? They are less glittery. I was disappointed in the Buxom Primer-Infused blushes (it seems they are being discontinued) -- too much glitter for my taste.
Those NYX bronzers are prone to shattering. Which sucks because the packaging seams so sturdy. All the open ones at Target where shattered. Maybe the packaging is prone to slips or the clap is fuzzy. Idk I didn’t buy it, too much shimmer
hey quick technical question about tubing mascaras, are they waterproof? like does water get beneath and touch the lash hair if we splash some on the face? i have to pray 5 times a day for that there's a whole ritual to clean ourselves and water must touch the lash for the process to be valid (to my understanding), so i stay away from any makeup that says waterproof, its the reason I've never tried tubing mascaras
Fenty Eaze Drops looked terrible on me, settled into lines and pores I didn’t even see before I put it on. Plus it kind of separated on pores, a lighter color sitting in the pore. So I’m scared to try the new Fenty foundation… but I kind of want to!
I had the Elf Primer Infused Bronzer and I dropped mine. The whole thing broke and shattered when I dropped it. It was my favorite bronzer cause it gave me that beautiful bronzy glow without even trying. I tried the NYX Ultimate Eyeshadow Palettes and I got say it's the best product from NYX that I tried which came out this year. I got the Paradise Shock one and every time I wear it, I get compliments on my makeup from wearing it.
“Jelly” type products seem to be the latest gimmick. You can get jelly eye shadows, cheek stain, cleanser, and I am sure there is some kind of jelly foundation I’ve never heard of. I know there are people who DO love the Milk Makeup cooling gel blush, but I can’t see just standing by with a brush having to blend right away OR ELSE! I’ll just stick to my boring old creams and powders. I wish Milk would bring back its lip and cheek oils in the roller balls. Those actually were versatile, easy to apply, looked good, and were very convenient to throw into a makeup bag for travel or work. The Rare Beauty too-shimmery blushes - I think sometimes the people behind these products forget that most of us are not going to be wearing them on camera. We’re going to wear them to our desk jobs or out with friends, not on TikTok. There’s a balance to be made between “this makes me look good on camera for my TikTok audience” and the vast majority of people who are going to be wearing it as an everyday product. I am glad to find out about the return of the Cover Girl Outlast lip stains! I loved those, and the Revlon “Just Bitten” ones, to layer under my lipstick so if/when my lipstick rubbed/wore off I’d still have color. LOVED them as lip bases. Hooray for their resurrection! And the gimmicks…so many of these companies are trying to out-gimmick one another, I guess to be able to hold the attention of audiences who always want something shiny and new, even if it doesn’t work for many people (like the jelly tint!). I’m sure that’s part of the reason we see newer brands come and go so much, while old stalwarts like Lancôme and Clinique soldier on; these are not social media brands, and the middle-aged and up people who buy from them are not really looking for the newest, shiniest, weird and wonderful thing.
Anyone remember the Tarte jelly stick blushes? They originally were huge! Then got remade into a smaller package Milk isn’t bringing anything new with theirs, however, it’s all a cycle for new consumers so who can blame them 🤷
I remember them, and they seem to be back for a limited time. They were not nearly as hard to blend as the Milk jelly blush, but, on the whole, I find cheek *stains* to be more of a PITA than cream, liquid or powder blush. You have to be really quick and precise applying and blending, and getting the exact right shade is more important as the jelly can look blotchy no matter how carefully you apply and blend.
The ELF lash extender mascara is a weird one to me. The first two weeks of owning and using this, I wasn't really impressed. Yeah sure, it was fine, nothing special. But now, I guess starting about two weeks in, I suddenly realised: wait, what has changed? I love this mascara!
Thanks for a great video Kelly! I am in love with the Elf lash Xtender and so is my granddaughter! I send her elf products through the mail all the time. We moved from Jersey last October and I haven’t seen her since the weekend before I left. It’s a great way to keep lines of communication open between us! We both love makeup! Can’t believe how quickly the year flew by, half gone already! You look so pretty and love the warm peachy glow! Enjoy your 4th of July ❤️🎉🫡
When I worked for Clinique about 10 years ago, I was trying to get everyone to buy their tubing formulas (lash power, bottom lash…) and everyone was so freaked out (unless they bought them)! It’s crazy how mainstream they are now 😂
The 5 pans by natasha denona remind me of the 5 pans from laura mercier i used for YEARS from about highschool to the mid 2010s. I had a light nudes (pale cream and champagne) palette and a dark nudes (browns) palate with mattes and shimmers, and basically used them as highlight and contours also. Saved me a ton of money by being able to multitask them.
The butter bronzers smell so good to me, very 80’s suntanning oil(no such thing as wearing spf back then)lol. Also a good tubing mascara is great for oily eyelids as it needs water to remove whereas waterproof mascara requires oil to remove 😊
Hey Kelly, just wondering if you’ve had any cosmetic procedures done? Asking as someone who is 29 and contemplating getting work done. Hope that’s ok to ask! Sorry if I’ve missed a video talking about it ❤
I've been using the NYX Buttermelt Bronzer in Butta Cup nonstop since I finally got my hands on it last week! Elf LASH XTNDR in black has been my go-to mascara for months now! I absolutely love it!
Adding the Elf mascara to my 🛒. I typically dislike tubing mascaras because when I wash them off at eod I hate the mess and pieces of mascara all ova the place! But for seven bills I'll check it out. 😊
Elf putty brush + milk jelly pop blush is a dream. You have to work hard and fast but the look is so natural so sunkissed so summery. If you underpaint with them and use a powder blush on top they last all day
It’s listed in her description: Becca “dune” & bare minerals “spice”😊 *edit -I think she might have one of the covergirl outlast lip stains as a lip liner on as well which she mentioned in the video
