I love my audiobooks from my public library. It keeps track of what I’ve read and what I didn’t like. The best part is finding books I wouldn’t have ordinarily looked for. You can try everything for free. I have an Audible subscription but it’s only for emergencies. 😂
Just today ordered me Kula cloth, I saw it from another video na shave had it on my wishlist but as my hubby and I started considering backwoods camping in mammoth cave next month, figured now was a good time to try! They have STUNNING designs on them too
I love Libby! I read more this year since getting access to audio books than the past 5 years combined. I listened to Braiding Sweetgrass this summer while gardening and it was such an experience.
Yes, me too! Often my minimum drive is 20 minutes, which is often a chapter. Before I could find time to read. On road trips I will swap out between 2 books & podcasts.
My friend Dave says the darn tough socks company also makes compression socks 🧦. I think my best swap this year has been reusable coffee filters. It is easier to recycle my coffee grounds into the compost bucket by turning the filter sock inside out then cut the paper filter cone.
My favorite overall swap would have to be Stasher bags. I have a pretty large collection, but use them all and have saved so much plastic waste! New 2023 favorite swap is period underwear. They're so comfortable and hold up really well. I've only used Modibodi and Saalt, but I'm pleased with both. I agree with you about the waistband on some of the Modibodi styles, but they're not all that way. I have a pair with a lacy waistband that is wider and it's quite comfortable.
Hey Emma! Thank you for this great list of ideas! ahh didnt need a mental picture of you in the underwear! LOL Again thank you for your recommendations on how to less wasteful!
100% LOVE my Loop Experience! My church lost the plot when it ocmes to volume control so i needed something for worship and these have been amazing! I live how they dont block out ir muffle sound they jut lower the volume. My understanding is only the Quiet are actual "earplugs" though since they explicitly say not to use when shooting and stuff.
good news! you can change the speed at which you listen to my videos with the gear icon in the bottom right corner since unfortunately I cannot cater everyone's individual needs, RU-vid can help you :)
Also fyi, darn tough sources most (i think maybe all?) Of their wool from american farmers! In fact, some sheep we had grazing at the sustainable ag research farm i work at has some of their wool sent to darn tough! Cant speak for all farmers semding to darn tough, but these were very healthy, happy, well taken care of sheep with responsible grazing management, owned by a farmer who clearly cares dearly for them.
my favorites have always been using the library & my overdrive/libby app + buying secondhand if needed. however, i bought no new or thrifted books -- using my local buy nothing groups to get new books or my free little libraries has been my favorite for sure :)
