I read this short story by chekhov in 3 different lenguages, and I truly love it. I mean, the short film you made was quit good, but I think that if you would follow the real story more it would come out in such an amazing way! Thanks for making this film :)
Money can buy an object, but not the thought process (knowledge) that went into creating that object. Hence, knowledge is superior. It is better to be looked up to as a "knowledgeable person" rather than a "rich person". ... With knowledge one can acquire money, but money alone will not help in acquiring knowledge.
M. Rajae he has spent 15 years in prison .. why not just take the millions right ? Well, after 15 years of reading and acquiring knowledge , taking the millions would look degrading for him as a person since his perceptive changed after learning a lot about life and so on
bad direction, poor acting, the last two minutes are laughable, the banker is shouting for some stupid reason and the lawyer should have been showed first from the back to make the illusion that he was awake, but in fact he was sleeping, instead of that we get this hack actor butchering the text and fully missing the point of the whole story, the most important part isn't even in this version, the shame of the banker and the way he isn't evolved as a human and is still shallow and petty

And secondly the original story is totally different.. he doesn't speak the last monologue.. instead its a letter written by him.. and he escapes 5 minutes earlier the bet was going to end..#WrongStory #Stupidity
No but imprisonment changed him . He contemplated, lived to the fullest, found contentment while being confined ! So sometimes u cannot achieve when you are free but u can definitely attain those while being captivated . The lawyer was actually delving into the journey of pure salvation!
Wow, what a stupid bet, bets are like mischief, like you're gonna be obssessed to win it, life inprisonment and capital punishments is both wrong, you can just kill him you now better you even said it,it was kinda surprising that he like read out the letter and like moves and went to the door saw the light go out and close the door it's really scary but touching
