🙋🏼♀️ Sometimes we get so used to seeing these episodes over and over. 🤷♀️ Trying to remember when i first saw this? 🙆🏼♀️ For just a few seconds, i really did think that Mr Brewster was proposing💍 to Pearl! 🤦🏼♀️ Her reaction when he mentioned “housekeeper” was priceless! 🤣
I found some "Dennis The Menace" last night. It was a Christmas episode and I loved it. I'm in my 50's. When I was a kid I liked "Dennis The Menace" series. I looked on my tablet to see how old Actor Jay North who played "Dennis" is, and he's in his 60's, about 10 years older than me.
Back in the 60's everyone followed the exploits and antics of the Clampett family, hilarious comedy of hillbilly life in the days b & w tv, it's great these shows are on RU-vid to show the younger generation that programmes were made without swearing, but rib tickling funny!!
THANK YOU for posting Loved this show when I was a kid and still as an old fart Quacks me up watching older shows like Perry Mason, Gunsmoke etc and seeing these folks playing various parts. I hear the voice and say I know that person and sure enough it is Buddy Ebsen (who was supposed to be the Tin Man in the Wiz of Oz) etc These were great men and women actors in true sense, not the junkies/drunkards we have now.
tambrosia I was just talking about all the well trained actors moving into television on a reply to an earlier comment. Buddy Ebsen made movies dancing with Shirley Temple and was a wonderful tap dancer. Pearl was Blanche in Burns and Allen, Dobie Gillis, Kate in Petticoat Junction, and tons of voices in the Flintstones and many cartoons. Louis Nye played in many movies and TV shows and was still going in Curb Your Enthusiasm with Larry David.
The clampetts on a plane?oh my! lol.you want the bus station!OMG, lol.i love this!watched this all the time!miss Hathaway ,still in love with Jethro!lol
I used to spend a week or two in the summer at a cabin like this, an outhouse for a bathroom and baths in a creek can get old after a week. Not to mention cooking over a fire that you have to haul wood for, and not being able to store food in a refrigerator or freezer. A great place to spend a week or 2 in the summer, but otherwise.....
Rusty, please tell me why you made that statement. I might be able to arrange something similar, without that kind of cost! There are a lot of us living in beautiful wilderness places. Why do you sound so passionate about this?
Right away granny nailed it about California, lol she says it's Dec everywhere but here, the weather is as mixed up as the people. ain't that the fck truth
I used to laugh so hard watching this show that my eyes would get teary.Remember they thought automatic doors were haunted? Hathaway sure was after Jethro! She was old enough to be his mom. They kept calling the plane a bus.
Yes alot if the movie stars played 2 parts and I think one of our viewers caught the fact that Max Baer played the twins Jethro and Jethrine. What a hilarious and extremely talented man. What a hunk of man like Lou Farigno! Hootinani, yiha!
I always thought that Jerthene looked like Jethro and figured Max played both parts. The voice was that of Linda Kay Henning, daughter of producer Paul Henning and played Betty Jo Bradley on "Pettycoat Junction.".
The Hillbillies/Greenacres/Gillilgans island, wild wild west/Andy Griffith & so many more of the 1960's shows. Loved them! Back to when I was just a kid & the world was a simpler safer better place. Lol just my thoughts..wished I had a time machine!!
Dan Bascom Happy 4th of July 2019. This was one of the very few that they try to show Jethro and Jethren in the same room together. Max Bear plays both parts but there is really a woman doing the voice over. It's sad to think that everyone except Jethro (Max Bear) has passed away.
Best show of all time. I'm laff'n my butt off. Hollyweird just don't make em like this anymore. Instead of being called hillbillies ,we are now referred as Appalachia Challenged to the p.c. crowd.
One episode had Elly May wearing a ball gown for the first time, and she thinks it's for playing ball in, so she and Jethrine get into a football game with some guys. She comes home with the gown all muddy and dirty, and when Jed asks her what happened, says "I don't know. Jethrine had the ball, but they was all tackling me". Thought I was gonna bust a gut.
23:45 I remember being asked that question a few times over the years, and I would always smile and reply "no". The girl would smile back and we would be off on our adventure.
Sometimes I thought the actress that played "GRANNY" was ,younger. It happens all the times filming television. Research tells me that Irene Ryan is only thirty (30) years old; and Granny's youth can often be seen in Her athletic movements. I still love GRANNY even though GRANNY was really a young woman; and Irene Ryan (GRANNY) is a beautiful woman too.......old or young.
@@janieg8287 you are right, I do remember reading that she was only (30). It's ok.......I loved Granny, she and my GRANDMA are alike in many ways. Thanks for the correction......."Merry Christmas, Marlene.
I so want to spend a Christmas in a nice cabin. Fill it with a months worth of food, snacks, coffee etc.. then have the family come and stay, play games, build a fire, watch Christmas shows, take naps.
Wish had lot more money in my bank 95 billions dollars. Love this classic film show on Christmas Eve. 5-6 hours on Bus Rounte. Guess never know ride airplane. I never been on airplane at all. They think on bus .not on airplane. I never have fur coat. Nice look back great memories film show. So funny think ride on bus not airplane.
I will contradict you. What Mr Clampett did was allow the company to drill for oil and take a percentage of money from the proceeds to drill for the oil on his property. He didn't sell his property or the oil he just let that company drill it the same as the American oil companies do in Arabia.
