I don't think there is anything wrong with believing that the current economy, and government, may come to an end, and due to that, we need to stock up on food and goods. That would be the best way to take care of your family for this scenario. If it doesn't happen, then you have extra food and supplies for daily use.

maybe someone can explain calvinism. why even try to live a holy life if there are preselected winners? based on the math it would be stupid to assume im saved. maybe someone cares enough to explain why calvinism seems to directly contradict john 3:16. If i somehow identify that I am not one of the lucky few to not burn in hell for eternity based on an arbitrary decision by God that some sinners are worth saving and some are not, i should probably get started on my hitler hustle, right? if im not selected by God to be saved then i am by default on the other team, am i not? anyway, who cares, right? i was not chosen to be on God's soccer team. must be nice being one of the elite!

I must comment, there is no way to Christianize the federal reserve so when he makes a comment about someday when the federal reserve chairman is a Christian…… That is like saying “when the pope is a Christian”

I agree. The gospel is hopeless in its ability to change men's hearts. (And, as we've learned from the Marxists, "institutions", not the men who run them, are corrupt.) As an aside... the "new heavens and earth" have come.

@@estimatingonediscoveringthree OK. Couple of problems with what you said: 1) You failed to respond to my obvious sarcasm concerning the ability of God's gospel to transform sinners. He drug me out of depths I don't care to think about. And, like you I'm sure, we might say that "if God can save me, He can save anyone." Amen. But why not the mass of humanity over the course of time? I assure you, there's nothing special about me. However, if I happen to be one of that "great multitude no one can number" from "every tribe, tongue and nation" then it makes sense. It's His work for His glory. 2) You simply stated "the man of lawlessness hasn't come yet." OK. Then allow me, with the same authority as you displayed, say, "The man of lawlessness has come already." You see? I can prove anything wrong provided it doesn't meet what I've determined to be biblical. (Unfortunately, this means that whatever system I've adopted for biblical interpretation becomes the standard of orthodoxy, and consequently it also means that the Bible can never be used to examine that system of interpretation).

@@stuffipost137 preterist falls apart unless you only look as select eschatological events and work very hard to force them into historic events. There are lot of elements of Johns revelation that we haven’t see in any form. I challenge you to go through Revelation and show a parallel/fulfillment to each and every precursor to the millennial kingdom. It descends into absurdity, I’ve watched people try

Moreover, for a second time, you've failed to respond to anything I've said. You're simply talking "at" me. Again, I can talk "at" you and come away "knowing" you "couldn't" answer me... so obviously that's where discussion breaks down. Moving on - Concerning the reality that Revelation and Matt 24 are basically parallel accounts, and the reality that they explain the events which culminated in 70AD, I'd like to see you provide us a critique and reasoned response to someone like Dr. Gentry and his work "Before Jerusalem Fell".

You guys need to edit this down to the meat of the topic. The only goal should be setting the bar low for those that don’t believe so that Gods word can draw near his people. You have 3/4 minutes of nothing and then you have another several minutes of just hot air
